Overall, excellent work and they use a great communication tool through a web site. A lot of it was in the little things. They ran a really clean worksite and had already sent me pictures of the stud walls pre drywall before I remembered to do that myself. I have to especially commend the staff on how they kept me informed of what was going on because, when the unexpected happens (and there's always going to be something) that really helps.

Overall, we’re very happy with our finished basement. The finishes look wonderful, and it turned out as great as we could have hoped. The online portal used for communicating schedules, changes, and punch lists was also super helpful. I should note that this is our first experience with hiring a remodeling company, so I don’t have any other experiences to compare this too, but I will say the great final product did come with some caveats that should be considered for anyone looking to hire Paramount. 1.) While we signed a basement contract in October 2018 with a tentative start date of late January/early February, the project wasn’t underway until March, which threw our timing expectations off a bit. 2.) Furthermore with timing expectations, we were also told that the project would take around 8 weeks to complete. The project ended up taking 10 weeks, plus a couple of extra visits for punch list items. 3.) Another expectation we had was that the project would mostly be done by Paramount’s in-house workers, with few hired outside contractors. As it turned out, the project was mainly outside contractors due to being pulled to different jobs, which caused a few communication kerfuffles along the way. Luckily the final product turned out great, but it did take a bit more effort on our part to coordinate some contractors’ access to our house and explaining how some aspects of our basement should be finished. 4.) The punch list at the end of project had a few loose ends to tie for the basement (as expected), but the majority of the punch list items were actually for damages not related to the basement, including repairing fence posts where vans had backed into, scuffs on walls, door stops broken off and holes in doors. Paramount did well fixing all these punch list items, but for those looking to hire Paramount, know that you probably should keep a close eye on the hired contractors, and keep track and document the punch list items as they occur. 5.) The cost ended up being a bit more than what we had been quoted at the beginning of the project (almost $8k over what we were originally quoted). While some changes along the way are to be expected, we are the type of customers that prefer to have a product that overdelivers while being surprised at being under budget. We would have preferred to have a slightly more conservative quote for the scope to set our expectations correctly from the beginning. Again, Paramount did a wonderful job in the end; it just took some work, time, and extra cost to get there that we hadn’t expected. If you choose to hire them, make sure expectations are set up correctly, even if they're a bit more conservative, and you should have a great finished project by the end of your experience.

A+ experience. Paramount completed our project with quality work, clear communication, and no surprises. From the initial estimate discussions with the company owner, Levi, to the final walk through, the entire Paramount crew was timely, pleasant, and professional. The main contractor who worked on our house was fantastic... he even went above and beyond to help us out by fixing some shoddy work left by a prior contractor. It was very unexpected, and, though just a small time investment on his part, it was a game changer for us. Paramount uses a project-management software tool that is amazing - you get real time updates, see the actual products being installed, delivery dates, progress photos, communication logs, and up-to-the-minute financials, including change orders. I loved having visibility to every part of our project, and it worked really well with my schedule. I could leave a question for Paramount in the app at night, knowing I would get a response the next day. After the project wrapped, we were impressed with Paramount's follow up. Levi, the owner, is a stickler for quality. During our final walk through, he noticed a couple of things that weren't up to his standards, and he made sure they were corrected. When a small issue came up with the Euro glass in our shower, he had the glass company come out to redo their work. Impressive, especially knowing how busy remodeling companies are these days.

The workers were punctual and professional. The framing is superior with quality materials. The addition took a while but is beautiful. The election was knowledgeable and I’d definitely have him do work if needed again. Levi updated me when he needed to and kept communication smooth.

I found Paramount on Angie's list originally and called them, along with 3 other highly rated Contractors. I chose Paramount because of the professional service and excellent treatment at the first meeting. I tend to be a little "odd" in my designs and Paramount worked with me to ensure what I wanted would meet the code requirements. I now have an open "loft" basement style that suits me perfectly. Paramount uses an online system that calendars the process/progress - this was very helpful and mostly kept everything running smooth. Hiccups (because there always are hiccups and if you don't think there are, then you should probably try doing it your self first) were handled professionally and courteously. I am so happy with Paramount that I have already asked them to do the next project. Thank you Paramount for giving me my dream basement.

Very well. Staff and workmen were professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Quality of work was excellent. Workmen were very careful not to let dog or cat out.

2-3 week project ended up taking 12 weeks largely due to problems with an employee and materials orders. Final product is very good but took way too long to get done and caused a lot of inconvenience for us. Max, the owner, was very responsive to all my concerns but unfortunately a bad employee caused lots of problems for them.

Not good at all. After deciding to move all the way out of my condo and signing a short-term 3 month lease, I was assured repeatedly that the job would be done in less than 3 months. My contractor, Ryan, even told me, "If it's not done in 3 months, I'm in the wrong line of work" (I made sure to remind of this after the fact). But then the job started late and there were weeks where no work was done at all (waiting on this, waiting on that, waiting, waiting, waiting). When my lease was done and I had to move back into a still not completed remodel of my condo, there was a junk pile left in the middle of the living room (I have pictures to back this up), and dust and debris everywhere (you know, since they were still finishing the job). In the end, I had to stop working with my contractor because it became obvious he did not have a clue. I actually had to listen to him meltdown one day in my condo while he was on the phone about another job; not professional at all and told me my job was not the only one he was messing up. Once I started dealing with the father and son co-owners, I quickly realized how fuzzy their math was due to using 2 different systems for the quote vs. the actual costs of the project. A lot of items outlined in my contract were not completed and I was never told they would not be completed. And I did have some add-on's. Once the work that was not completed and then the add-on's were added up, sure enough they had me paying even more than the initial quote. Of course I don't feel the add-on's added up to the work that wasn't completed, but that didn't stop their fuzzy math and 2 different systems from having me paying more than I felt was fair (never good to feel cheated and let down after signing a contract). I tried working with the co-owners, but quickly realized they probably had played this game before, so decided to cut my losses and just get them out of my life. So many I should have done this and I should have done that, but in the end it was my first time dealing with a contractor and I learned a lot of tough lessons the hard way. I just hope others heed my warning before hiring this company that promises the moon up front and then slowly and painfully misses the mark on their promises. No where near satisfied with what I had to endure over this project with Paramount Remodeling. I'm actually a little shocked that I received a post card after the job asking me for a review on Angie's List. Here you go boys, a well deserved review from a still upset customer.

It was a great experience working with Paramount. As a DIYer who built our last kitchen myself it was difficult for me to feel comfortable with contracting this work out. At my first visit, it was clear to me that Paramount was what I was looking for, a small family run business that cares about satisfying their clients. They have a great showroom that made it easy to pick the vast majority of our finishes all in one place. Working with Mike, the in-house design consultant was invaluable for me. He understood my vision for the kitchen as well as offering some great improvement ideas and style choices. They also understand budget constraints and how to maximize the client's dollar. We were very happy with the time in which the work was completed, especially during the holiday season. For a reasonable budget, we gained a VERY nice kitchen that we will enjoy for years. I plan to have them quote more work for us.

For a bathroom that suffered significant damage, we needed a crew that knew what they were doing. Frankly, our bathroom was unusable and sat for months while we tried to figure out what to do. This is the main reason we went with Paramount. Given the demand in the area for construction we knew it would be challenging to a group that could commit to a minor project. Working with Mike, he helped us design a repair and upgrade that addressed all our wants and wishes, and then some. They also found ways to work within our budget. In the end, the quality of materials, workmanship and finish was outstanding. We are so, so pleased with the repaired and upgraded bathroom! We would strongly recommend Paramount.

We had two bathrooms that needed to be remodeled including moving a wall and changing all electrical and plumbing. It was a major remodel for bathrooms. Paramount did excellent work. The quality of workmanship was outstanding. The job did take longer than expected but that is fairly typical in construction and the delays were mostly due to the city and not Paramount. Overall, we were very happy with the final outcome and would absolutely hire them again for another remodel project.

Mike did a great job organizing and scheduling as well as helping me with the planning. Paramount scheduled professionals who were respectful and talented. There was one exception and when I told Paramount about it they immediately rectified the situation. I’m very happy with my new kitchen!

It went well. The cabinet, countertop, and floor installers were very good. Our only complaint was that it took so long to get it finished. This was due to Paramount being very popular and busy with a lot of jobs going on at same time. They seemed at times to be short of labor to get it finished in timely manner. We signed a contract in November 2017 and job completed in April of 2018. Overall, we were satisfied. Note* I have some experience myself with remodeling and construction so I recognize quality work. Some mistakes were made but the company immediately fixed problems to our satisfaction. They guarantee their work up to two years. FAB- Erie, Colo

My project was a basement remodeling. This included a change from carpet to hardwoods; new cabinetry, sink, and countertops for my basement kitchenette; installation of a basement dishwasher and built-in microwave; and bathroom update with matching cabinets and countertops, replacing old tub with a custom-built shower with a bench, and toilet replacement. Along the way, they helped me with a few other minor projects, including updating light fixtures and building dry-wall where former owners had a 1990s media center. Every step along the way, they did a fabulous job! - Ideas and design: They helped me figure out what was possible and what was affordable. They helped me choose styles and materials (I needed a lot of help). - Bidding: They bid it fairly and competitively, and they charged me exactly what they bid. - Implementation: They did exactly what they said they would, on time and on budget. I was home during most of the work and have several young children in the house. All of the workers were VERY friendly and reliable. Their attitudes were positive and professional. And they worked quickly and efficiently. No I am just waiting for budget to use them for my next project: Kitchen remodeling!

This was a fairly large home remodel and addition project. Paramount did an outstanding job and I would certainly hire them again. My project involved the removal of an exterior wall and the placement of a beam in that wall to extend the house. It was complicated, and it needed firepower and expertise, which these guys had. They did an excellent job and nothing was too complicated for them. They maintain constant communications with rapid callbacks and with their mobile app. The mobile app also keeps the homeowner abreast of all change orders and the status of the project. Importantly, the mobile app keeps a constant watch of the total project cost. Overall, these guys were fabulous and I would highly recommend them.

Ryan from Paramount Remodeling came to my condo to go over my project ideas, offer helpful suggestions and give me an idea of the cost. Since I do not have designing skills, he referred me to a professional designer who helped me pick out materials and a personalized color scheme from the Paramount showroom. They used high quality materials and excellent workmanship to turn my sad 1980's kitchen and bath into something absolutely beautiful and modern. It has changed my life!

Overall, the team at Paramount did a fantastic job. Work was high quality and was completed mostly on time - when there were delays they were clearly explained and the timeline updated.

Paramount did an outstanding job on our basement. They have a great business model and use a really awesome computer/phone app called CoConstuct. It made the project enjoyable and let the home owner have an simple and effective way to communicate projects changes, bids, etc. Max and Ryan were easy going and kept to our budget. In the end we got exactly what we wanted. We would recommened them to any of our friends and would certainly higher again.

Paramount Remodeling did an outstanding job with our kitchen renovations. They were easy to schedule appointments with. They quoted a reasonable price and timeline to complete the work. Our kitchen involved removing an entire wall, electrical, plumbing ... The work was completed in 6 weeks. The work was organized and professional. We are extremely happy with our new kitchen! I hired Paramount to finish my basement and received very good results. The price was very competitive and the quality of work was excellent. The Paramount team was extremely polite, helpful, and respectful. I am very happy with the way the basement turned out and I will definitely be using Paramount again for future projects.

Paramount was AMAZING! We bought a condo that was eleven kinds of UGLY, and Ryan and his team came up with a design that was in budget, made smart recommendations, and did the work beautifully. They even figured out a way to put cool tile on the ceiling to resolve to weird recesses in the hallway. This would be the FIRST place I would call for any future remodel.

Overall, it went very well. There was a slight delay in getting started because of scheduling; however, once begun the work progressed on time with only occasional 1 day delays due to subcontractor schedules. The team at Paramount was flexible and accommodating of our needs including changes. The quality of the work was excellent. Structural remodel with new sheet rock and texture was truly outstanding. Design was great, excellent choices and a coordinated detailed plan and layout. The digital detailed layout was a key feature in using Paramount. A special call out for the outstanding job done by Mike and Max on both design and construction. We had a small dark Galley kitchen in our townhouse and now we have a modern, spacious, light filled kitchen with lots of storage, modern infrastructure and a very pleasing design. Highly recommend Paramount.

Unorganized crew. Lack of leadership and not enough employees to meet the promises of their current customers. They cant seem to keep staff and nobody knows who's in charge or what each other is doing. No attention to detail. I gave them their punch list....not the site leader. Timeline for project took twice as long as promised. I had to call regularly to find out who was supposed to come out. Trades weren't showing on a regular basis. Extremely frustrating.

We're grateful to Uncle Brian's Home Improvements for bringing us through this remodel with such professionalism, patience, good humor, and informed oversight. We are incredibly happy with the new kitchen; it is everything we could have hoped for and more. Brian was caring, knowledgable, and attentive, taking our ideas and helping us to improve on them in ways that enhanced the space we were remodeling while ensuring we didn't overextend ourselves on the budget. He was active in overseeing and participating in almost every part of the work, from demo through to appliance installation, and he and his crew were particularly careful to clean up after themselves every day (which was important since the whole house was in use throughout the remodel -- by a family of six). For quality work, customer service, experience, and professionalism, UBHI is in a class of their own. I plan on doing business with them again in the future.
