Mike was great and easy/comfortable person to work with. Very knowledgeable. He helped us with our color and material selections and design choices. He scheduled his crew very well, and worked it out with our personal schedules. And all his guys were very skillful with tile and granite work, electrical, plumbing, drywall, general carpentry, etc. And courteous and professional. We were very pleased.

It went outstanding. The only reason I couldn't actually go through with it was that I was short on the budget. Had I had the appropriate budget, I absolutely would have utilized their services. And given the quality of the estimate they provided, I would absolutely pursue using them again. They were the most professional and thorough general contractors I have ever worked with.

This provider never even responded to me. I tried to contact this provider for a remodel on my house and they NEVER got back to me. I emailed them and left all my contact info and never heard back from them. Needless to say I wont be using them for any jobs in the future.

My partner and I scheduled an appointment on Dec. 1, 2014 with Levi to come out and see what all we wanted done. He showed up on time and we went through everything, he gave us some ideas and, he seemed to understand what we wanted. He took measurements of bath and doors and we discussed that we would not want to start till mid January, which was fine because he said that they were booked till then anyway. Approximately three weeks went by, and heard nothing, and Levi did not even email the estimate as discussed. So I called and left a message, and still, 5 weeks and no response what so ever. If Paramont was not interested, I would have at least appreciated a phone call to say no thanks, but as a business, I expected much more, and not to waste our time as well as their own. I really don't understand the reasoning behind this action, or non-action on their part, but I did try to reach them by phone once, and left Levi a message, but will not waste anymore of my time on them. They seem to have a good "grade" here on Angie's List, but this experience was not ideal. Needless to say, I would not use them or recommend them at this time.

The Paramount team set a schedule for our project and followed it. Tradesmen showed up on time and completed what they needed. We worked closely with Mike on making design decisions. He helped us pick cabinets and design our new layout. After we signed the contract, he immediately placed orders for the cabinets, granite countertop and hardware that we decided on. Demolition was remarkably quick and owner Max came the same day and carted the debris away. Paul installed the cabinets and was pleasant great at his work. He also pointed out a scratch in the cabinets and made sure we got a new, blemish-free door. Brandon did an excellent job with the floor. We wanted a specific pattern, which took more time. Our floor also wasn't flat, so it was time-consuming to lay the floor. It ended up looking amazing. Tony the electrician did excellent work, and he helped out in other areas too. There were a few times where we were worried that the work wasn't going to get done on the day that had been scheduled, but a call to Mike or Max usually resolved any worries. The only time that was inconvenient was when the plumber was double-booked for the day and didn't get to our place until 5pm. He was there until fairly late. Other than that, work was completed during normal hours and workers cleaned up after themselves. The remodel was completed in time - in fact, our baby was born the day after we made the final payment! Overall, we were very happy working with Paramount, and have been pleased with the final result. We would highly recommend them.

Simple response, we love our new finished basement. Not having worked with a contractor before, we really didn't know what to expect. Were mistakes made on both sides, probably. But in the end, we have a fantastic basement due to the pride and attention to detail Paramount clearly puts in constructing a quality product. Max has obviously been doing this forever and is the consummate professional. He repeatedly went out of his way to make sure my concerns were addressed and that we were satisfied. I appreciated Levi's honesty and openness, which only added to my trust and confidence in Paramount. Because of their reputation for quality work, they are busy and maybe not always the best at time management. But I think that can be managed with good communication, including clearly articulating expectations and assumptions. They're good people who want to provide a good product through good service. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

We are happy with our experience with Paramount Remodeling and would recommend them to others. Our team, led by Max, helped us through our basement build out which included design, build and decorate to finished state. Max helped us work through our wish list, but his experience helped us be realistic within our budget. We were in constant contact throughout the build process which I liked. Overall I was impressed with the team Max assembled. Framer and electrician were particularly good, being innovative with our space. During the process we encountered a couple of unforeseen issues, but Max was professional and we worked through it amicably. Our family is very happy with the finished product.

We got bids from several contractors for a basement finish. Paramount had middle of the road pricing but seemed to be the most willing to listen well to our project requirements and had a can-do attitude and were very professional. Long story short, we went with them and are very satisfied with the end result and would definitely recommend them. Finished product is high quality and they stand behind the work. They successfully took our design ideas and transformed them to reality at reasonable cost and even did what some other companies said could not be done. This is not to say all was smooth and like with any major project there were bumps and miscommunications along the way. End result is what we had envisioned and we get compliments on the end product and are able to enjoy it the way we had thought we would. This is good solid company with people who care and provide good value for the money.

I love my new living space! It is beautiful and turned out beyond my dreams. I enjoyed working with the Maxwells and found them to be personable, ethical and professional. Here are the pros: The work was all very well done and Paramount stands behind the work. Anything that wasn't right was made right as soon as possible. They were professional and ethical. During the construction Max was very responsive to any and all issues that came up. They were very accommodating when I needed to make some changes in what was done. Once started, the project was done in a timely manner. Everyone did a great job of respecting me, my property, and cleaning up after themselves. Here are the cons: Communications is a little bit of an issue. For example, it would have been helpful for me to have received a more timely notification that I had accepted the bid and that they had my deposit. It would have also been helpful to then have had a meeting or phone conversation about when the project would start and a tentative timeline for the project.

Provider was contacted on August 18 ('14) by phone and provided with a description of the work that was needed to be done. This was followed up with an e-mail (same day) in which photo's, drawings and confirmation of work required was provided. All that was requested was a budgetary estimate for the work for a go/no go decision (as agreed to with Levi during the telephone call).I am disappointed to note that the folks at paramount didn't even have the decency/professionalism to get back to me and let me know that they weren't interested in doing the work I needed done.

This review is of Paramount performing a consultation, performing measurements and generating floor plans, per the Big Deal purchased. Not for performing the work of remodeling a basement.We chose not to remodel at this time for financial reasons, but in the future, we encountered no reasons to not continue to work with Mike and Paramount to perform the actual remodeling task.Mike was very professional and courteous. He scheduled a consultation with us, showed up on time, and performed the tasks requested. We asked several questions along the way about the basement remodeling task, and he was very willing to give the answers.After family discussion, we decided not to perform the work at this time. I requested the documentation (per the Big Deal) and Mike sent it in a reasonable amount of time. We did not see any 3D renderings, but the floor plan is enough to get the idea of the design.

I wanted to buy the house next to me and flip it. When I was given a deadline of putting in a offer, I frantically called Levi and asked if they could help me out on such short notice. He asked that I provided pictures and a link for the listing and he would provide me a detailed estimate from what he could see. After sending the email I had a very through response within two hours. Unfortuntely my offer did not win but I was excited at the prospect of getting to work with Paramount.

This is an overdue positive review of work that took place February-March 2014. Levi came to the property to assess and measure. He provided a very fair quote that included the cost if his company provided materials or if I did the same. I chose the latter and he provided the sq ft of what was needed to purchase. He mentioned that many people leave a key with his company so that his team can come when they have time (it was a small job that could be fitted into larger jobs) but since someone needed to be present for all the work (due to the dog in the home) we agreed that he would provide me with a 30 min advance phone call of when the various workers would arrive to tear-down and remove old materials; put up substrate and tiles; and install new fixtures. This worked well. The workers who came were respectful, knowledgeable, efficient and cleaned up after their work. The tiler was especially skilled at his work which is very appreciated since, while the foundation is most important, the tile work ends up being the most visible part of these kinds of jobs. Prior to his last visit, he provided me with professional advice on recommended method of sealing the tiles after the grout had dried. This was done with ease. The team came prepared with everything they needed to accomplish their work. The initial quote provided by Levi ended up being almost exactly the final cost. The services of Paramount Remodeling were very much appreciated. It was great that they were able to fit in a smaller, less expensive job in the midst of a very busy construction season. They would definitely be contacted again and have already been recommended to friends and colleagues.

We didn’t have her do the actual work, due to us moving, but she came out and she was really professional. She spent a long time with us and she was good. She walked around and answered a lot of questions and gave us some professional opinions too. This was for a basement refinishing.

Contacted Max three times to get a bid on an extensive remodeling project - all three times he dropped the ball and failed to follow through. I finally gave up so never did get a bid from him.

They were really nice when they were here but they seemed confused on what they were supposed to do in the appointment. They did arrive on time. He just gave us a picture for plans and it was not done very well. We could not get them to call us back and they seemed really busy. We decided to go with someone else to do the work.

The service was great, they came and gave us a plan for the kitchen, and gave us an estimate. We didn't end up pursuing it because it wasn't something we could afford at the time. A lady had come out, and she seemed very knowledgeable, she had some good ideas, and she was very cooperative.

There were some issues but it all got worked out. It ended up taking longer but the work looked great in the end and it was a busy time of year. Everything that was a problem was corrected. We ended up doing the whole kitchen. It was very custom with custom details. They were very knowledgeable. Levi and Max are very personable and are good at helping you figure out what you want. We have a very large kitchen with cherry cabinets and granite counter tops.

I called Levi approximately a week ago to inquire about a finished basement. I left him a message. I was excited by the reviews that he was a good guy to work with and did a quality job. Unfortunately, he never bothered to return my call.

We used Paramount Remodeling Company Inc which I thought is on Angie's List. They did an expensive remodeling in our home. Well, I think they started in June and ended in January. The end result was good but we were over budget. They took a lot longer obviously. The time frame was fairly long, twice as long as we thought to get all the work done. We have some difficulty with some of the subcontractors. They subcontracted so they were responsible. They were our general contractor. They contacted and hired the subcontractors. We have no control over that. They did floors, kitchens and bath (we completely redid our kitchen and bath), repainted the whole inside of the house. They did a basement refinish. Again, the quality of their work at the end is good but it took a lot longer and cost more. The approximate cost of the service was $200,000. The quality was good. There are a lot of cost overruns because I think they didn’t understand the quality that we wanted so like the flooring cost more the kitchen. It seem like everything cost more because of the original bid and I am not sure how to explain it but I the cost overrun were a big consideration and just the time frame. It took longer and cost more than we anticipated but the quality was I would say excellent. The end result was great. We will put responsiveness as “B” and punctuality “C” because I putting that’s where I’m putting the fact that it took so long and I think the problem there is that they are in Frederick. We have cancellations due to weather. We had days when it took so long to get here. We are at the south side of Denver and they way up north. The transportation was an issue and I’m not sure where to put that. The fact their people were so far away. They didn’t get here until 10 AM and they left at 3 PM so that didn’t give us a full day of work because of where they were located. I am not sure how to explain it. Probably not just because they are too far away. I will choose a company that was closer to us. I think we are happy with the end results. There were some of the subcontractors that we love and others we really we have problems like the plumbers. They changed plumbers three times because the first plumber flanked an inspection so we have plumbing issues. We had some issues with the drywall people. We had some trouble with some of the subcontractors which was I didn’t anticipate that because I would expect general contractor to really good people. That’s why you have a general contractor. That is a little disappointing also – the subcontractors. Some of the subcontractors were just not as par.

It went well we were satisfied with the drawings

Paramount is basically a husband, wife and son business that uses subcontractors to do much of the work. We had used them in the spring of 2013 to build a desk, bookcases and credenza and the work was done on time, within budget and the results were outstanding. Max (Martin Maxwell - the husband) did much of the work. His son, Levi, seems to concentrate more on the business side - bids, contracts, billing, etc. As a result of our experience with that project we decided to have them bid on finishing a large portion of our basement - about 2000 square feet. We received a bid dated June 14, 2012, and were a bit disppointed when we asked if the 5% Angies List discount had been applied; and were told by Levi that they had stopped offering that program the previous Thursday. Nonetheless we accepted their bid but agreed that the work needed to be completed by November 1, 2013, as we had family and friends coming for Thanksgiving. We met in late July or early August to finalize details and the November date was again confirmed. Work did not begin until late August or early September as they were waiting for a new framing contractor to arrive in town. Before going further let me say that the final result was OUTSTANDING - the basement looks beautiful. They took a large open space and we now have an extra bedroom, an extra bath, a pool room, a theater room and a bar and dance area. The only problem that we had was the fact that the project did not get finished until about January 2, 2104. There were I suppose several factors that caused the two month delay for what was estimated to be a two and one half month project. First, they also had going a major project in Castle Rock and one in Highlands Ranch with clients who may have been a bit more demanding than my wife and I were. For example we were told that one client would not let the hispanic painters in their house unless Max was there the entire time to supervise them. Clearly dead time for Max. In this regard let me add that one of the great things about Paramount is that they have qualified, reliable and trustworthy subcontractors working for them. All were great to work with. The second possible cause for the delay was the Colorado floods although our neighborhood was not affected. The carpenter, however, lived in Estes and in order to get the work done within the agreed upon time we allowed him to sleep at our house. There were delays,however, in getting the correct materials from the suppliers to the work site and I don't know if this was caused by the floods or by poor project management. The carpenter was quite good in looking out for our interests and sent back a number of warped and poor quality wood that was delivered to us. A third factor in the delay may have been due to the fact that Max - who took over project management - was called to Houston for a family emergency and when he returned he was hospitalized for a short time with pneumonia. During this period things seemed to slip - a lot of dead time - perhaps because Levi was working on the other projects. As a result, getting the basement in reasonably liveable condition by the time our company arrived on the Saturday before Thanksgiving was quite stressful. We had ordered furniture to be delivered during the first few weeks of November and had to constantly reschedule because the flooring had not been installed. In this regard while we had been told that their flooring contractor would come to the house with samples of carpet for the bedroom, and by early November we had not heard anything I talked to either Max or Levi and was told that they would arrange it. We finally got a call from the contractor and were told that we would have to go to his place in Erie and that we would have to choose from what he had in stock if we wanted it installed before Thanksgiving. We went down there and he only had three rolls in stock so we ended up picking the best of the three. Anyway, the installers for the carpeting and laminate showed up three days before our guests were to arrive and finiished about 4:30 PM on the Friday before Thanksgiving. We had received a number of pieces of furniture based on the November 1st agreement and had had to store that in the garage. The bedroom set arrived at 6:30 PM on that Friday and the Large Screen TV on Saturday afternoon after our family had arrived. It was not good. The basement, while not finished, was, however, liveable. Things shut down over Thanksgiving week as we had a house fill of guests, and the carpenter was not able to return to finish the molding and decorative work until sometime in December. Things backed up on some of the other detail work and like I said work was not completed until about January 2nrd. We were gone for a week around Christmas so that week was on us. But like I said earlier - the work is now done and the results are outstanding. The quality of the workmenship was outstanding and Max was VERY responsive in completing items on our punch list. The work also was completed within budget. But one comment here. Their billing system is on an accrural basis and while it is meaninfull to them it is almost meaningless to the client. For future clients, my adivce is to start with the bid and adjust for the change items in order to reconcile the total expenditures. But I can asure all that the Maxwells are dedicated to getting things right and are VERY honest. Given how busy they are - or at least were - and the fact that it is only Max, Levi and Beth managing the sub contractors, ordering material, scheduling work, etc. my advice is to communicate with them in writing - via emails even after you have talked with them. Max is very good at writing things down in his planner but Levi depends primarily on memory. So to avoid misunderstandings communicate, communicate and communicate! They are busy and they are human - but you couldn't find nicer and more honest people to work with. I would reccommend them without reservation but make sure that you have the time to be actively involved in the project - especially if you don't have plans drafted by an engineer.

The kitchen design was good, although several aspects (like the placement of the sink) was not what we had discussed. Because of the very high estimated cost of the planned kitchen and difficulties with this company during a master bath remodel, we decided to use a different company for the actual remodel.

He provided a possible estimate for a kitchen remodel. We did not use the company, but worked as our own general contractor.
