As to your reason for writing a review in Angie's List about Mr. Rooter of Northern Colorado, we would like to provide our perspective: >All Mr. Rooter businesses are independently owned. From the documentation you sent to us after our technician visited your home, a Mr. Rooter plumber did provide you with service over four years ago. Unfortunately, the Mr. Rooter franchise, which last performed work for you in 2008, is now closed and we had no ability to call up your service record when you first called us. >As to an advertisement for a $95 repair, Mr. Rooter does not advertise a flat rate for drain or pipe repairs. We believe advertising fixed rates is often misleading to consumers and may lead to bait-and-switch scenarios where customers will encounter unexpected add-on charges. Every plumbing job is different and no one can anticipate the cost of repairs before a full evaluation is completed. Mr. Rooter plumbing technicians always provide a FREE written estimate to our customer before we begin any work and we GUARANTEE that price to complete the job. Mr. Rooter will never charge for overtime rates or for travel-out fees. >After your initial phone call to us on December 7, we dispatched a plumbing technician at your request to your home to investigate a clogged sewer main line. After inspection, Travis provided you with a quote to repair the issue based upon our normal rates. Regrettably, you chose not to engage us for your plumbing problem in order to seek out competitive bids and we sincerely hope you received good service from the other plumbing company. Mr. Rooter is not always the least expensive plumber, but we provide a comprehensive warranty of our work for up to ONE YEAR and we believe the quality of Mr. Rooter's work is superior to most. There was apparently some confusion between us at the beginning of our encounter, so we hope to provide you with a resolution that demonstrates our dedication to customer satisfaction. As proof, we are offering this promise to you: should you encounter a similar main-line clog issue in the future, Mr Rooter will provide one (1) free drain clog service to your now current home and we have sent this same offer to you in an email We hope that you will consider Mr. Rooter for other services in the future. We also would ask for you to consider giving us an opportunity to demonstrate our professionalism and workmanship before we are graded for it.
