I had an excellent experience with Mike. I will use him again if needed and recommend him to friends and family if they needs computer work.

I had done several things to try and repair a 6 year old laptop without success. I called Mike to ask him to look at it. After a 5-minute conversation about what I had tried, without my even having to ask, he gave me the answer I was looking for, "Your laptop may be too old to justify fixing." Then he offered to e-mail me information about where to purchase an inexpensive replacement. It's obvious his emphasis is customer service, and I appreciate that in any form!

Being new to town, we researched in-home computer repairmen on the web, and then called a handful of different people. A couple we never got past the initial phone call with, and a couple more we had out to the house and - after one visit - decided to keep looking. With most of our problems still unsolved, we finally renewed our Angie's list subscription (it had expired when we lived in another state) and through the list we found Mike Bailey. After the out-of-state fix-it-remotely guys (which wouldn't work for our issues) Mike had the most reviews and they were all very positive, so we gave him a call. He was great. He has a calm, pleasant demeanor and a deep knowledge of esoteric computer issues. He quickly solved the glitches on my wife's computer, and then tackled the knotty problems on my machine that the other repair guys had not been able to figure out - like the computer taking 10 minutes to finish coming on every time. The last guy had declared - after an hour of futilely trying different things - that the best solution was to take everything off the machine and re-install the operating system. I did not want to do this if I could help it! But Mike quickly homed in on the virus-spyware program I had been running since before the slow-start problem popped up, and suggested that one of the virus program's periodic updates could have caused it to start conflicting with some other start-up procedures. As a test he temporarily removed the spyware program and substituted another one - and instantly the big slow-start problem went away. He then made a bunch of other little fixes, and even came back later in the day for a quick follow-up visit when something that was fixed mysteriously became un-fixed again. Bottom line, both my wife and I agreed that he is now our go-to guy for all future computer service - we have a couple of laptops for him to to look at next. He hasn't sent us a bill yet, but his quoted hourly prices are very reasonable, he's giving us a break on the follow-up visit, and whatever he charges is worth it to us!

My laptop was not functioning and I called Mike based on the numerous positive Angie's List reviews. He spent a good amount of time on the phone discussing my options. He picked up my laptop at home the next day and tried to figure out what was wrong. He ran various diagnostics on the laptop and kept me up to date on what he found. It turns out that the laptop was not fixable so Mike backed up all the data. He also gave me advice on picking out a new laptop. Once I did he came over to transfer the data from my old laptop to the new one and got everything set up with the new one. Throughout the whole process, Mike was very patient, thorough, and professional with me. He answered all my questions and was very helpful. Mike was easily accessible via email and phone and was always quick to respond (even though this happened around Thanksgiving). I would, without a doubt, use Mike's services again whenever any computer issues arise. I highly recommend him.

I had called Mike Bailey after seeing recommendations on Angie's List. Our desktop had been having lots of problems with starting up, connectivity, and speed. Mike squeezed in time before the Thanksgiving holiday. He was up front about the cost and wasted no time getting the job done. The cost was very reasonable considering the frustrations we had endured. As he was working, he explained about viruses and reasons why our PC was having problems.He had great advice for connectivity, security, and storage. I would enthusiastically recommend Mike for his professionalism, technical knowledge, and advice.

I've used the Geek Squad and several other Computer Techs in the past couple of years. Mike is by far the best. Yes I will use him again and definately recommend him. Cathy S

It is excellent. He is very realiable and very efficient. He fixes the issues in one sitting. He is very timely, not intrusive either. He is reasonable with cost as well. Simple but great solutions. He also explains what has caused the issue.

He did so much for such a reasonable price. We are very pleased.

We had a desktop computer that kept shutting down. Mike took me through some scenarios over the phone and made suggestions-mostly trying to save me money. We decided that we would download all the info from that computer onto another. Mike was prompt and business like. He went through the computer, checked it out and was then able to download it. As it was downloading the info, Mike also checked our laptops to get them up to par. Appt. went very well.

A bit of background info is needed first. Originally my computer & system shut down, and I couldn't even turn it on. I took it to Office Depot for their "free check" & was told I needed to send it off for another system board and whatever else it might need. Long story, short (that's another review) the hard drive was backed up on two disks, a new system board & video card were installed, and a new operating system re-installed. But here is where the story really begins. The computer system worked but sporadically. Often the icons on the desktop & start button would fail to appear, limiting my options to tinker and figure out what was going on. And there was no sound. I took it back into Office Depot several times, and they pronounced "everything is fine" during their limited warranty period. Everything was not fine and I had no idea how to correct the problems. Very Very Frustrating. Mike was contacted late Tuesday afternoon, and he was able to come to my home on Friday morning of the same week, albeit 15 min late, my only very slight complaint. This was the first appointment time I could make it so I rate him as being very responsive. He explained to me at this first phone contact what the pricing was. When he arrived, he astounded me at assessing and fixing the problems so quickly, a testament to his store of knowledge. He made it seem like simple fixes in the way things were connected; I never would have guessed how to proceed on my own. The remainder of the time was spend on little things that had previously stumped me, but still needed some work. These were irritations that I might not have called in an expert but since he was here,. . .he might as well take care of these annoyances. He tried to recover some email files that in the end, were not recovered. I have tried before to recover these lost files, but he went much further checking out some possibilities, steps that I would never have been able to try for myself. There's some odd peace of mind that I can finally give up the files as lost, Oh, he also set up my wireless, answered other questions. and helped to restore some file that were copied by Office Depot. He was here about an hour and a quarter. Very polite and very patient with me answering questions. So definitely worth my time and money. And I like that next time I have problems he can access my computer remotely, That is peace of mind.

Mike tried several different things and finally downloaded the drivers to allow him to load the files on an old style flash drive. The old gateway computer had only a non-working CD drive and 3-1/2" floppy, plus a couple USB 1.0 ports on the back that wouldn't recognize my flash drives. Mike finally got the files we needed and loaded them on the newer laptop. He also helped us clean up our old laptop.

Great overall experience. Mike was prompt in returning my initial phone call and helped me determine the best course of action and the most economical positive outcome. Because my PC is antique (by technological standards) he was honest in suggesting I review pricing for a new computer before moving forward. I decided to have him fix my current machine and self purchased back up for the PC before delivering it to him (an option that saves money) although he will also travel to your home or business. Mike was fair, professional and informative. I've worked with other techs who were condescending ( I am not tech savvy) and stingy with information - (I guess in order to insure your return business) Additionally, Mike refused to accept payment until I had the machine back home and up and running to make sure it was repaired to my satisfaction. What a great business practice! Customer satisfaction! He installed Team Viewer so that if I had ANY problems, I could work with him online to solve them. Best of all my PC runs fast and contiunes to do so 2 months later. Thanks to a great local businessman.

It was the most efficient and pleasant computer repair service we have ever had. The virus was beyond our capability to fix and I was assuming the worse-case scenario. Mike had the virus removed, our files restored, and computer clean and working in an hour and for minimal charges.

Mike's work is exceptional. He is responsive, knowledgeable, professional, and very reliable. We can count on Mike to fix issues that arise very quickly. He is very fair in his billing and the use of time. He keeps us informed about what the problems are, how to resolve them, and estimates the amount of time required. He can communicate effectively with all of our staff regardless of their level of computer/network expertise. We would highly recommend him to anyone who needs home or office computer work!
