Two Men And A Truck

This is a mixed review. I wouldn't hire them again, but I'm not sure all the problems we had were the movers' fault. That said, we had a lot of problems: * They didn't send an estimator out to look at the apartment, so they gave a rough estimate of hours over the phone. They were way off for a couple of reasons, one of which is that my MIL had said she would pack a bunch of stuff and didn't, but also they underestimated how much stuff could be stowed away in a two bedroom apartment. * They ran out of time and rather than come back the next day, they literally just threw stuff of the truck and left. They didn't even stack the boxes neatly, so the family had to spend the whole next day restacking boxes so we could even get into the space. * They didn't label a single box that they packed - and they packed over 50 boxes. Now we have no idea what is in any of them. * They didn't finish packing the apartment, so we had to go back the next day and finish. The had packed nothing in her kitchen and left things in several closets and cabinets. * I have never seen movers drop and break so many things. We have a smashed glass cabinet, reclining chairs that are broken, feet broken off of rolling file cabinets, etc. I can't count how many times I watched them stack boxes 6 high coming off the truck and let the top 2 just topple to the ground when they came off the dolly. I will say that they were kind and friendly to my in-laws, and MIL is not always the easiest to deal with when she's stressed. That said, this move was really poorly done and I would not hire them again.

This is the second time I've used them and they were great once again. Scheduling was fast and easy. The crew was quick, courteous, and careful with my antique furniture.

Overall I feel it went very well. They were fast, prompt, for the most part courteous and were able to help us on fairly short notice. The price was reasonable based on my past experience with movers. The only issues we had were a couple of broken items. One was a home made cabinet that may not of been the most sturdy thing to move in the first place and probably should of been disassembled one was a recliner where the metal frame allowing the back of the chair to lay down became bent and would not work properly. Our big concern with the damage was not so much that it happened, things get damaged when they are moved, but that in at least one case, it seemed like instead of handling the issue in a professional way, the person moving looked for ways for it to not be their problem. The workers could probably use a little training into how to handle this issue better.We were not able to see how good their response was to damage issues, since we didn't notice the damage until after we signed that we were OK with the move and there were no issues. For others, I would recommend (as you should do with any mover) make sure you are able to observe them working so if there any real issues that you are able to identify them during the move. It is much easier to resolve those damage issues. In this case we were not able to observe as much as we should of.For the provider, note that the address is not where service was conducted.
