Stellar Painting and Remodeling did repair work on the exterior and interior of my home before painting it. I worked with a colorest and picked my colors. The colors turned out perfect. I was a little worried because I did not think that the colors were me but I am glad I stayed with the colors from someone that is very knowledgable about colors. She just walked in the rooms and said this is what I see would be a good color in this room and she was right. One of the reasons I selected Stellar was the fact that they took care of all my needs. Repair, Color Selection and then did a great job in painting my home. The crew was a pleasure to have in my home. They would talk with me as they were painting making sure all the colors worked, they made suggestions that really made the home look cared for and has pride. I called the painting crew Painters with a Passion. All three painters wanted to make sure I was pleased with their work as they worked every day and before they left. The crew made suggestions on what they could do to paint my deck and garage. I am sold I hope to have them back to paint my garage and deck. Believe it or not they hung a chandelier for me and helped me decide the distance from the ceiling would be best because of the other chandeliers in the home. To top off the quality of the painting was excellent no doubt they have years of experience. Believe it or not they vacuumed my base boards and carpet before they painted the base boards. Stellar does a Stellar Job!! Thanks to your entire crew right down to the office help!!!
Description of Work: The exterior and interior of my home needed to be painted. Before the painting could take placed Guy pointed out some areas that should be repaired. Guy sent out a crew to fix the areas that needed to be repaired. Guy also provided a professional colorest to help me pick my colors. The bid included all the work that needed to be done with no surprises. The interior colors included 4 colors the exterior included 3 colors.

My wife and I were not sure about many things at the start of this project, ie cost,,etc. I must say Jack Wilson answered all questions and helped from start to finish. Jack's crew and his follow thru on all concerns really made the whole project a pleasure. Jack even came with me to help pick the right kind of tile and materials for the finishing . As with most projects there are bumps, but everytime Jack was right there to make sure it all turned out right. It was like dealing with an old friend. Thank-you Jack!!
Description of Work: My wife and I wanted a walk-in closet converted into a master bath with a smaller walk-in closet. The master bath has beautiful tile and stone work thru-out. Jack Wilson's crew had to tear out everythng and install all new plumbing with drains, vents, pretty much EVERYTHING needed for a complete master bath. The closet side was finished very nicely with carpet and a window { the wife HAD to have } Glass shelves were also installed at my request as a surprize for my wife.

They did an excellent job prepping the area including several windows and stuff in the garage area. The final product is excellent. For the initial quote, we weren't able to link up due to our schedules. Guy was able to give me a quote based upon my description. When they arrived to paint, we had more stuff in the garage to protect than was originally planned so the price increased slightly to put tarps over that stuff. The work started in the early afternoon and was completed by the evening. They did a great job with the clean-up, too.

After my Pergo flooring was installed, I needed new baseboards throughout my house, including inside of several closets. The carpenter from Stellar Remodeling, Inc. was exceptionally competent, professional, and efficient. The baseboards look absolutely beautiful. The carpenter was completely trustworthy, explained everything he was doing and why, and did an outstanding job. I have used this company before, and have always been very pleased. I believe I got better product and service than I actually paid for. Way to go Stellar Remodeling!!!

I contacted Stellar 3 years ago about painting the outside of the house but was unable to do because of other financial demands. When I called them back 3 years later the quote was almost the same and with the same people still in place. They also had good ideas about replacing our badly worn deck without too much expense. We decided we would rather have them do both jobs and coordinate the work rather than try and find two different contractors. It worked it very well. We are pleased with the outcome of the deck and the paint on the house and would highly recommend Stellar.

I first contacted Stellar to refinish the floors, but also asked for his suggestions for some repair to the bathroom (we had a water leak in the bathroom for several years and I was worried that there was interior wall damage). I did not want to do a full bathroom remodel and wanted to keep the 1950's style. I immediately appreciated the detailed information and options that Jack provided. The cost estimate then provided was very reasonable and I decided to go with having both the floors done and a partial remodel of the bathroom (including updating the plumbing). It was important to me to have the work done in a narrow time frame which Stellar was able to do with no delays. Justin, Johnny, Evey and Jack were all so wonderful to work with and kept me informed on the work. They arrived on the job when they said they would, conducted work professionally, and were very conscientious while in the home. I was especially impressed by the fact that although the work I had done was realatively modest, I was treated like the number one customer at all times. I also appreciated the fact that they all took pride in their work and were true craftsmen taking time to do things the right way rather than cut corners to make it easier or faster. When I noted one very small problem, it was corrected to my satisfaction in less than 24hrs. Similarily, when a simple mistake was noted on the billing, it was corrected with apologies in less than 4 hrs. The service provided from all aspects of Stellar were indeed stellar!
Description of Work: Partial bathroom remodel and refinished original hardwood floors. The shower tile was replaced, a new vanity and toilet installed, the floor tiled, and new fixtures (faucets, towel racks, and light fixture) installed. Old lead plumbing was removed and updated and an unused sewer vent capped. The original hardwood floors were sanded and refinished with new quarter-round baseboard installed.

The quality of Stellar's workmanship has always been excellent on each project that we have contracted them to complete. Jack Wilson is commited to following through on every detail of each project until it is done to our satisfaction. All of our projects have been contracted on a "time and materials" basis and while we were initially aprehensive about this arrangement, Jack has proven to be more than fair with us and we have never felt like we have been taken advantage of with this type of billing. Jack has always passed along discounts to us that he receives on materials.
Description of Work: Stellar repaired damage sustained to our home from a water backup issue. This job included replacing the hardwood flooring on our main floor with ceramic tile, replacing and repairing damaged drywall and carpet in our basement and a complete remodel of our main floor bathroom. Previously, Stellar Remodeling has completed numerous projects on our home including: window replacement, deck, kitchen and family room remodel (2005); interior and exterior door replacement and crown molding installation (2006); complete master bathroom remodel (2007).

Kitchen re-do was amazing! Very creative ideas in the design of the kitchen space. Implementation was efficiently run, even though they kept in mind that we were still living (and cooking) in the house. Cleaned up after their workday was done. Did a spectacular job, especially in light of the little challenges like drooping ceilings! Our modest kitchen is now big enough for both my husband and I to have plenty of space for working together, with room for our guests at the kitchen counter. On the master bath re-do, came up with outstanding approach for utilizing our small space. Had some communication problems with the first project lead, but the lead was replaced and we were very pleased with the replacement. Worked around issues of our floor not being level, which is a problem with the wheelchair-accessible shower that could only have a short sill into the shower. Didn't believe that a shower with room for two could fit into our little bathroom, but their design works great! Beautiful tilework. Our deck project took a significant amount of time due to time delays in the steel beam manufacturer that was recommended by the Deck Superstore. Once the steel beams arrived just before Thanksgiving, our Stellar crew moved right along in spite of the chilly weather and the brand-new DryJoist products that we had specified. The first story deck feels like an outdoor living room, and the second story deck feels like you are out in the woods, since they fit the deck into the space between our house and existing large pine trees. We didn't really expect it to turn out this nice - it feels wonderful!
Description of Work: Time and materials contracts for complete re-do of kitchen in 2007, complete re-do of 2 bathrooms in 2008, complete replacement of two-story exterior deck with new deck that contains no wood in 2008-2009, plus special requests in other rooms such as putting in can lighting, removing one window and one door to create more useable wall space, and lots of electrical sockets. I've added 3 images of our new kitchen. For pictures of our deck, please see http://www.wahoodecks.com/gallery/index.htm?photostabs=0 and http://www.wahoodecks.com/gallery/index.htm?photostabs=0. The kitchen re-do involved helping to design kitchen space usage, adding a gas line for a gas range, moving 220V circuit for ovens, complete cabinet replacement plus extra cabinet in family room, custom tailoring crown molding so that I could have tall cabinets in my limited vertical space, cleverly adjusting installation of 7 feet of running cabinetry so that it looks good in spite of my ceiling dropping by a whole inch, special installation of disappearing cooktop downdraft with motor on the exterior of the house (which allows me to have drawer space under the cooktop), and replacing fluroescent lighting with can lighting. Used the extra granite slab for counter in bathroom. Master bath re-do involved tearing everything out to the studs, moving the entrance to the toilet area and adding an "antechamber" to the bath/toilet area, creating a wheelchair accessible shower big enough for two people instead of a shower that was a little cramped for one person, installing floor heating and tile floor, installing new cabinets and new lighting, and replacing a window with a door out to the two-story deck that would be built next. The tile work that we requested for the shower and backsplash above the granite slab counter was complex, but very pretty. The extra granite slab was used in the re-do of a second bathroom which included tile floor installation and re-mudding for some damaged dry wall. The design and implementation of the two-story deck was very challenging, since I did not want any wood used in the construction. I requested a deck that would last for 40 years without having to be replaced. The overall dimension of the deck is approximately 18' x 32'. The second story of the deck rests on steel beams. The joist system for the second story (by DryJoist) is a combined aluminum joist and drainage system that provides intermittent "dry" channels where electrical wiring can be installed for lighting of the first story deck. This was the first installation of this product in Colorado. The second story decking is composite, with DryJoist railing. The first story deck is built on steel beams and joists. The surface is granite tiles with composite backing that allows them to be screwed down to the joists rather than being grouted. An outdoor kitchen area is included on the first story with stainless steel cabinetry that provides a place for an oven, microwave, and rotisserie, complete with under-cabinet lighting. The walls on the first story deck are tiled. On the first story, the steel beams are wrapped in the composite decking used on the second story.

We have always been pleased with the quality of work performed by Stellar. Experience makes a huge difference and Jack Wilson and Guy Miller both have the breath and depth of experience to anticipate issues and deal with them effectively as they come up. Most of the work that Stellar has done for us has been on a "time & materials" basis and we have always felt like we have been treated fairly and never taken advantage of. Jack always passes along discounts that he receives for materials, which most contractors mark up and profit from. We always have felt comfortable with Stellar employees being in our home, which is a huge comfort when you and your family are "living" with the workers during the course of the project. I would highly recommend Stellar Painting & Remodeling as not only quality craftsmen, but also ethical people to work with.
Description of Work: We recently had some water damage to our home which damaged the hardwood floors on our main level, as well as damage to drywall and carpeting in our basement. Stellar replaced and flooring on the main level with ceramic tile, repaired the drywall and completely remodeled our main floor bathroom. Previously, Stellar has performed multiple services for us including: exterior painting (2004); window replacement (2005); new deck (2005); kitchen and family room remodeling and painting (2005); interior and exterior door replacement and crown molding installation (2006); master bath remodel (2007)

Jack Wilson was able to schedule the project around my work schedule, and everything was completed on time. Jack and his crew did a great job on each of the various projects. The crew was very responsible and friendly, and I felt very secure about them doing the work. They were very responsive to what I wanted and contributed some good ideas as well, and they had even higher standards and expectations than I did. I was really happy with the results each time.
Description of Work: We've used Stellar Remodeling for two big projects at our house. We had siding replaced in 2008 and a bathroom remodeled and updated in 2009. The siding replacement was pretty straight forward. The bathroom involved demolition down to the studs and installing a new floor, tub and tile, bead board, and fixtures. It also involved repairing a ceiling under the bathroom that had been water damaged. While they were there, they installed canned lighting in the family room.

I agreed to a time and materials bid for this project. There was a miscommunication between Jack (the president of the remodeling division of Stellar) and myself regarding whether the caulking of the crown moulding was included in the contract. Whether it was included or not, because I had already contracted separately with painters who would caulk the crown, I told the guys working not to caulk the crown. Even though it apparently wasn't included in the contract, Jack nevertheless told the workers to caulk the crown if they could stay under the time on the job. The guys got to the point of almost finishing the job, and Jack sent me an invoice for close to $1000 over the maximum on the time and materials bid. This did not seem reasonable to me, especially since both Jack and his lead carpenter had been in my house multiple times prior to making the final bid for the job. And, at this time, the job was still not finished. I called Jack, who reluctanty agreed to stick to the maximum bid. The guys returned to finish what still hadn't been completed, however, unlike their previous work, their final work was left with trash and sawdust in mulitple locations in my house and leftover materials that they didn't ask me about whether I wanted to keep. When this issue was raised with Jack, instead of volunteering to dispose of them, he accused me of being hard to reach. Overall, the quality of the work completed was very good, and I do not have complaints about that aspect of the job, and I do believe that Jack really tried to work everything out (perhaps out of fear of this negative review). However, the overall experience just left an unpleasant feeling for me.
Description of Work: They performed several projects in my 100 year old house, including: installation of a small closet; retrofitting of two doors; re-fitting of two doors to make them close better; installation of crown moulding; and installation of trim on the windows in the house to make it look good.

The job was very well done. Basically, I had the painters come in to paint all of the trim, baseboards, moulding, etc. the same bright shade of white throughout the house. Because the house is so old, none of the walls or edges to anything are straight. Nevertheless, the paint crew managed to get everything looking really straight, crisp, and finished. When they had some problems where the tape pulled some of the underlying paint off of the walls, I didn't even have to say anything, they took the initiative to be concerned and touch it all up. The whole time they protected all of my floors and furniture. I was very impressed and would love to have them come back and paint more!
Description of Work: Prep (including some caulking, sanding, spackling, filling of cracks) and painting of all baseboards, crown moulding, window trim, door trim, beadboard, fireplace, doors, and 2 skylights in 100 year old house.

Everyone I dealt with at the company including the office manager was very professional. The work was done well and the painters cleaned up thoroughly before they left. In one small area where the paint bubbled and didn't cover sufficiently, Francisco promptly repaired the area and repainted it.
Description of Work: I called Stellar for an estimate to paint 2 walls in the living room, 4 walls in the bedroom and walls and ceiling in a small sitting room. Guy came out within a week for the estimate. The work was done that week when time became available since the weather prevented outdoor work. Francisco, the job leader, and 2 painters finished the job in 1 day.

Due to our time constraints of the inspection contract, we needed to find someone quickly, so naturally I consulted Angie's List. I found Stellar Painting and Remodeling, called them and explained our unusual situation and how we needed a licensed person to do the job. Our job could have easily been done by "just" a handyman type, but it required a licensed one. Often even the best of handymen are not licensed. So Stellar called me back quickly, sending Jack Wilson to come out and do an estimate, the very next day. Jack told us he would have Eric, one of his licensed people come to do the job. Jack e-mailed us the written estimate and Eric called us to schedule the work. He was able to come just a couple days later and finished the job in less time than estimated. In the few days that had passed since receiving our inspection contract, high winds in a storm blew off one of our decorative shutters from the front of our brick house. Another small job to be done, but it required drilling into masonry and properly re-attaching the shutter (it wasn't done right in the first place, causing it to just give way in the winds). Jack had agreed to have Eric do this job too. We were very happy with the work done, and so happy to have it done at a fair price, and in very short order. Jack e-mailed us the invoice for the work just a couple days later (a holiday weekend was involved) and we were happy to have the work completed way ahead of our required schedule.
Description of Work: We had an unusual situation, in that we'd just sold our house and the buyer's inspection was conducted. We'd had a Pre-Listing Inspection done, after which we took care of the few things recommended at that time, thus, the result of the buyer's inspection revealed very little wrong with our home, and little to be done. However, one of the three "jobs" for us to accomplish was to have some purloin joint/cross braces in the attic re-attached, since they had come loose. A fairly small job, BUT the caveat was that our contract required the jobs to be done by LICENSED professionals, in this case a licensed general contractor. Tough to find a licensed person willing and able to do a small job AND on short notice, AND who hopefully wouldn't charge us a mint to do this.

They even cleaned up after themselves every day and were competent and considerate. The work was done in three weeks and I would highly recommend them. The kitchen looks great!

Stellar did an excellent job. They were on time and worked very hard. They covered all surfaces that weren't to be painted so no paint got on the carpet or floors. They were careful, prompt and thorough, checking to make sure everything was done well.
Description of Work: Stellar painted the entire inside of our house, which is 1500 square feet. We have cathedral ceilings in the living room, so they painted to the ceiling. They removed old borders from the walls and repaired some of the drywall.

Stellar did an excellent job for both of the jobs they performed for us. Guy was very fast in getting to our house to make an estimate and the estimate arrived very quickly after the discussion of the scope of work. The crew was on time and did a great job of protecting the non-painted surfaces and furniture. They also made an effort to keep the interior ventilated. The house looked great and they came back to touch up spots without any issue. I would choose Stellar for any future painting jobs.
Description of Work: Stellar did some wall finishing and repair work and painted our upstairs. They had to do some special texturing / paint application. In addition, they applied stain to a new railing. Previously Stellar had painted the outside of our home.

The advertisement was not the same as the service I received. The bid was much higher then other companies but I liked the fact that they advertised two full coats of paint. They introduced me to the crew. The supervisor was new to supervising larger homes. They didn't put two coats of paint. You can see through the paint. They had inexperienced workers, the lines are not straight and they got paint all over my personal property. They did come back to fix the problems. The owner was very friendly and courteous.

Response from Stellar Painting & Remodeling
IT HAD BEEN ALMOST A YEAR SINCE WE PAINTED THIS MEMBERS HOUSE, AND WHEN WE LEFT HER JOB SITE AFTER FINAL TOUCH UPS WE HAD ADDRESSED ALL HER CONCERNS AND SHE WAS HAPPY WITH THE JOB AND THE END RESULT. WHY DOES THE END RESULT SEEM NOT TO MATTER? WE PAINT 500 PLUS HOMES A YEAR AND TOUCH UPS AND STRAIGHTENING LINES TO FOLKS SATISFACTION IS COMMON AND WE NEVER LEAVE UNTIL THEY ARE HAPPY. WHY WAS THIS APPRECIATED A YEAR AGO AND NOT NOW? VERY DISAPPOINTING. OUR RECORDS SHOW THAT WE USED $900.00 IN PRODUCT ON THIS HOUSE & 35 GAL OF PAINT WHICH FOR THE SIZE OF THIS HOME WOULD BE ACTUALLY MORE THAN THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT FOR 2 FULL COATS. THIS AMOUNT ALSO ACCOUNTS FOR 30% OF THE TOTAL COST OF THE JOB FURTHER INDICATING THAT THE PRICE SHE RECEIVED WAS VERY FAIR INDEED. THERE WERE JUST SOME AREAS THAT NEEDED TO BE TOUCHED UP TO THE SIDING WHERE THE SECOND COAT WAS A LITTLE LIGHTER DUE TO THE LOGISTICS OF ACCESSING OR GETTING TO CERTAIN AREAS OF THE HOUSE. AGAIN, THIS IS COMMON AND WAS EXPLAINED TO THIS MEMBER. THESE TOUCH UPS WERE DONE IN MINUTES AND WERE EXTREMELY MINOR. WE NEGOTIATED OUR PRICE DOWN FOR THIS MEMBER $300.00 TO MATCH A LOWER BID AND SHE ACCEPTED THE BID AS FAIR AND VERY COMPETITIVE. THE PRICE TO PREP, PRIME,APPLY PEEL BOND TREATMENT TO HORIZONTAL SURFACES, ATTEND TO WAX BLEED AND TO APPLY 2 COATS OF PAINT WAS BELOW $3,000.00. CARPENTRY WAS THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT. THE PAINT SPLATTERS SHE MENTIONS WERE MINOR AND WERE CLEANED UP IN MINUTES. I MYSELF ATTENDED THE PRE-FINAL TOUCH UP WALK THROUGH WITH THIS MEMBER AND FOUND ALL OF THESE CONCERNS MINOR AND EASILY CORRECTABLE. STRAIGHTENING UP SOME LINES TO THE WINDOW TRIM TOOK US THE MOST TIME. WE DID SO WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM AND IN GOOD FAITH WITH OUR USUAL GOAL OF HAPPINESS. THIS CREW ALSO WAS ASKED BY THIS MEMBER TO INTENTIONALLY COUNTERSINK NAILS AND CAULK THEM OF WHICH THEY SPENT HOURS DOING AND WAS NOT AUTHORIZED IN THE BID NOR IS A TECHNICALLY NEEDED OR CORRECT THING TO DO. THIS NEW CREW LEADER WAS EAGER TO PLEASE HER AND PERFORMED THIS WITHOUT OUR APPROVAL. ONCE A TECHNICIAN HAS REACHED A CERTAIN PERFORMANCE LEVEL WE ELEVATE THEM TO CREW LEADER AND GIVE THEM AN OPPORTUNITY TO BETTER THEMSELVES. THIS IS WHAT GOOD COMPANIES JUST DO WITH THEIR PEOPLE. UNFORTUNATLY,THIS CREW LEADER FELT INTIMATED AND EVENTUALLY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THIS MEMBER & DID NOT WANT TO RETURN TO THE JOB FOR FINAL TOUCH UPS. The estimate was very thorough, with discussion about exactly what we wanted, description of materials and methods used, and of the process and schedule proposed. I was provided with insurance certificates, examples and references, and options available. I chose Stellar from four companies I took bids from, paid a deposit, and scheduled the work. Before painting, a carpentry crew did all the wood repair and replacement. The paint crew, run by Bertin, was right on time, as well as thorough and professional. They kept right to the estimated schedule, and had sufficient people on the job to complete in the time frame I needed. Bertin walked the entire job with me before acceptance, and corrected a couple of minor things I found not to my liking. Cleanup was complete. The job is excellent. Not the cheapest, but a competitive price and a very good job.
Description of Work: Stellar painted the entire exterior of our home, including replacing some horizontal trim and repairing some sections of siding. The house is two story, about 2400 square feet, with some brick. Some paint was pretty badly weather damaged, and those areas needed to be scraped and primed. All trim and battens were caulked and primed. We used two colors, siding and trim, with a third color around windows as a highlight.

Stellar was the second company we contacted but the first with a prompt reply and site visit. Jack (co-owner) was on site every day. The work site was cleaned at the end of each workday, and trash was taken away in a timely manner. We received itemized bills with employee time sheets and material receipts, as well as frequent updates from Jack. It wasn't a job for which he could provide an estimate up front, so while it was much more expensive than what I was hoping for, I know everything that was done and why.
Description of Work: The structural beam supported the stringers of our properly built deck began to collapse secondary to a combination of carpenter ant damage two years ago, a heavy static load of pavers and heavy snow loads over the winter. I shored it up with a pole jack and removed all the pavers. Stellar pulled off the sheathing, and then after confirming the structural layout of the deck and the damage causing the severe sagging, built a temporary scaffolding to support the stringers. A professional engineer was formally consulted for his recommendation on the beam replacement specs. The top 1/3 of the cosmetic brick posts around the structural posts were torn down to allow full access to the beam for its tear-out and replacement. A bricklayer team was subcontracted by Stellar to rebuild the brick posts with matching bricks and custom construction style. The sheathing was replaced. The roofing company we'd used for repairs to our shake shingle roof was used to make a few repairs and recommendations for sealing before Stellar installed new decking material. The roofing company was swamped with repairs from a recent storm but Jack went to bat for us to get the repairs made in a timely manner preventing excessive delays. The roofer recommended that we be able to blow the leaves out from beneath the deck, so Stellar created a solution allowing one of the deck boards to be flipped up and then locked back down with flush round head hex socket bolts. Of their own accord they put up a couple extra pieces of the decking material around the deck to provide cosmetic concealment of the decking material's underside while still allowing blowout of the leaves and dust.

They were very good about scheduling with my kitchen remodel going on. The texture was removed from the ceilings and they were painted and then the rest was painted after the remodel was done. The ceiling work was done in one day and the painting completed on another. They put down plastic and cleaned up everything afterwards. The job went very smooth and the house looks really nice.
Description of Work: Had popcorn ceiling removed and textured in living room, family room, kitchen and upstairs hallway. Had same rooms plus guest bedroom and bathroom painted.

I enjoyed working with Jack and his people. Mike and Evie showed up everyday and didn't cause any delays in the project. The whole thing was pretty much finished in about 5-6 weeks. The only delay was because we measured for the backsplash tile before I decided on the final configuration and I had to order more and it was a 6 week delivery from the manufacturer in Canada. Robyn from KB Cabinets was great to work with. We retooled the design a few times before we came up with the final configuration and she did a really good job. The kitchen turned out beautifully and everyone did really nice work.
Description of Work: Had major kitchen remodel done, new cabinets, additional electrical, new plumbing to island, walls reconfigured and hardwood floor refiinshed. They had also retiled my fireplace surround before I decided to do the kitchen remodel.

They were on time and very professional. They cleaned up everyday and wee extremely neat. I am very picky and clean and they stood up to the challenge. Guy gave me the best estimate, called me back promptly and started and finished on time.
Description of Work: I had the entire interior of my house painted by Guy's crew. They did a very professional job. I had not yet moved in the house so they did not have to move any furniture. However, the work they had to perform was extensive. They recommended a color consultant, which they paid for. I selected 13 different colors for the house. I have four bedrooms, four bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room and basement etc. all painted including the trim work.

Generally good. There were a few things not to my satisfaction. It was after the fact. I started looking around my house and oh damn it i started too see stuff that I wish I had caught earlier. They did not do what they said they would. I really had problems with the language barrier with most of the workers. The workers were nice. They were on time and did clean up.
Description of Work: They painted the exterior of the whole house.

Response from Stellar Painting & Remodeling
MY RECOLLECTION IS THAT THIS MEMBER WAS UNHAPPY THAT WE DID NOT USE AN ORBITAL SANDER TO THE WINDOWS. THUS HIS STATEMENT THAT WE DID NOT DO WHAT WE SAID WE WOULD. WE OPTED TO USE A SANDING BLOCK AS THE EXISTING CONDITION OF THE WOOD AND THE SIZE/WIDTH OF THE SILL REQUIRED US TO RE-ASSESS AND HAND SAND. THIS WAS DONE SO AS NOT TO DO ANY DAMAGE TO THESE SENSITIVE AREAS WITH AN ORBITAL SANDER. WE DID HOWEVER SAND THESE AREAS REPEATLY UNTIL THIS MEMBER WAS HAPPY. THEREFORE, DOING EXACTLY WHAT WE PROMISED, ENSURING THE REMOVAL OF THE LOOSE, PEELING PAINT TO A TROUBLED AND DAMAGED HORIZONTAL WOOD SURFACE. WE WALKED THE HOUSE WITH THIS MEMBER SEVERAL TIMES, RETURNED FOR ADDTIONAL TOUCH UPS AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO IF THEY WISH. WE WERE NEVER CONTACTED TO TAKE CARE OF ANY FURTHER CONCERNS WHICH WE WOULD HAVE ADDRESSED PROMPTLY FOR HIM. THIS HOUSE WAS IN GREAT DISREPAIR & REQUIRED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF EXTERIOR CARPENTRY AND EVEN WOOD WINDOW REPLACEMENT DUE TO DRY ROT. WE DO THE BEST WE CAN WITH WHAT WE ARE GIVEN TO WORK WITH. ALL ELEMENTS OF THE PROPOSAL WERE FOLLOWED THRU WITH HERE AND THIS MEMBER WAS MONITERING THIS JOB ON A EVERY DAY BASIS AS WAS HIS CHOOSING. THIS CREW AND CREW LEADER DID EVERYTHING THAT THE MEMBER ASKED PROMPTLY AND UNTIL THERE WAS SATISFACTION. I TALKED TO THIS MEMBER DURING THE JOB TO EXPLAIN WHY WE OPTED TO HAND SAND AND WHEN THE JOB WAS CONCLUDED. I ASKED HIM IF EVERTHING WAS OK AND WAS HE HAPPY AND HE INDICATED HE WAS. IF HE SAW THINGS LATER AND I AM CERTAIN THEY ARE OF A MINOR NATURE, WE ARE ONLY A PHONE CALL AWAY. THERE WAS AN ON-SITE SUPERVISOR ON-SITE THAT SPOKE VERY FLUENT ENGLISH AND WAS AVAILABLE ALWAYS TO ADDRESS ANY NEEDS OR CONCERNS WHICH THIS CREW LEADER DID. OUR RECORDS INDICATE THAT THIS MEMBER RATED US AN EXCELLENT ON OUR POST JOB SURVEY AND NEVER CALLED FOR ASSITANCE FOR ANY ADDITIONAL CONCERNS. WE ARE A HARD WORKING, CUSTOMER ORIENTED, CARING COMPANY THAT BELIEVES THAT TAKING CARE OF THE CUSTOMER NOW AND AT ANY OTHER TIME SINCE COMPLETION OF A PROJECT IS OUR #1 PRIORITY. WE JUST NEED TO KNOW THAT SOME HELP IS NEEDED! WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT AMD HELP THIS MEMBER IN ANY WAY WE CAN.
