Description of Work: We moved into a new house and noticed that the furnace made unusual noises, and needed to be sure that the furnace was working correctly, the provider came out very promptly and checked everything out, cleaned it and changed the filter. It has worked perfectly since then.

Description of Work: The deal was $129.00 to service the gas fireplace and the furnace. The tech failed at the gas fireplace portion of this service. He attempted to "upsale" me into replacing the gas valve with the part alone costing $257.00 dollars. I contacted SpaBrokers in Aurora and had the fireplace service properly and it is now working just fine. He was supposed to at least clean out the fireplace and he didn't even do that properly. I wasted at least $70.00 with this company as a furnace service doesn't normally cost $129.00 dollars. This was a very disappointing experience... :-(

Response from Rock Heating & Air Conditioning
This report is unjustified. I showed up on time. I cleaned, service, and diagnosed the problem with fireplace. The customer was with me and watched me the whole time. The fireplace was extremely dirty, due to lack of maintenance as was the furnace. I explained the problem in detail to the customer and showed her what was going on with the gas valve on the fireplace. I gave the customer a price for parts and labor to replace the gas valve and she chose not to go forward at that time. I didn't have the part in stock, and told her I would have to order the part. The fireplace was not working correctly when I arrived and was in the same shape when I left. I didn't hear anything negative from the customer after the appointment until I read the report. If the customer was unsatisfied and would of let me know, I would have made a attempt to correct any problems. If I couldn't make the customer happy I would have gladly refunded the customers money for the service. Customer service is a 2 way street. I should have been given a chance to rectify any problems.
