The communication overall on the project was poor from the beginning. RMAN.com started with the demo of a stone sign. It proved to be a difficult job and it did not appear that Scott had the right equipment to get it done efficiently. He then began constructing the waterfall. Weeks would go by and he wouldn't show up to the job site. On the rare ocassions when I actually was able to contact him, he'd tell me he was busy with other projects, on vacation, that the weather wasn't allowing him to work, or that he couldn't find the matching stone he needed to complete the job. This went on for months... During that time, he also recommended that I pay him more money for new, fancier LED holiday lighting to the tune of about $2500. I asked him to put that proposal on the backburner until after he had successfully completed the waterfall. The waterfall project looked terrible - no progress was made on it for a total of 6 months. Christmas had come and gone and I requested that he refund my deposit for the LED lighting that he hadn't even started. He refused. I contacted the BBB. They informed me I'd need to take him to court or arbitration if I wanted to recoup any of the LED lighting deposit. I finally got tired of the waterfall being incomplete - it looked terrible - and I felt as though I'd never get Scott to complete the project or to return any of my overpayment. I bit the bullet and brought in another company - Very Insightful!! I'm no expert in waterfall construction, but they told me as kindly as they could that I had been taken. They completed the project - including having to "undo" some of what RMAN had done - in about 3 days!! It looks great! No communication problems, no stone match excuses, no payment required until the project was completed to my satisfaction! Now I'm left with having to go to arbitration. I know it will cost money to do so, but I am still really bothered by how RMAN.com handled the whole situation. My recommendation: Beware. Perhaps this particular project was just more than RMAN could handle, but if you choose to go with them, don't pay money up front and don't make the mistake I did by paying for 2 separate projects from the beginning!
Description of Work: Scott Eddy with RMAN.com completed a demo of a stone sign (bid at $1800 but discounted entirely because he wanted to keep the unneeded stone slabs for another project). He also started to build a small waterfall (bid at around $6k, he was paid half down - $3k). He never completed the waterfall. He also was paid a half down deposit on an LED lighting project ($4400) that he never started.
