I hired Monster Vac to clean my air ducts after hearing their ads on the radio and researching several different air duct cleaning companies. This decision turned out to be a huge mistake. Monster Vac is the most expensive air duct company around, and I definitely did not get what I paid for. Their ads state and quot;We promise we will do a great job for you and you will be glad you calledand quot;. Well, they did a poor job for me and I regret that I ever called them. The tech was nice enough and professional, and spent 5 hours or so at my house cleaning my ducts and furnaces. The problem is the ducts did not get cleaned well enough because I still have dust pouring out of my vents and leaving as much dust on my floors as before Monster Vac showed up. If I didn't see the tech at my house with my own eyes I would swear he was never there.Monster Vac claims they will provide the customer with photos showing the work performed. Well, I never received those photos. When I called to the company to let them know of my dissatisfaction with their work, only then did they offer to send the photos. They then sent the photos and I haven't heard another word from them. I guess they figure if they can prove they were at your house, the results don't really matter. I would expect a company that claims to be the best in the business to care more about the quality of their work, and to investigate the problem if a customer is unhappy. With Monster Vac, that is not the case. I would strongly recommend homeowners not use Monster Vac when they have duct cleaning done. Learn from my mistake and take your business elsewhere to a company that will not overcharge for poor quality work.

They give perfect, terrific service. They know what they are doing. They say that it's often a lot of money but I kind of wouldn't say too, my furnace looks really almost totally lost but it's kind of resurrected and they updated it at a very reasonable cost.

This is Boulder, post-flood. They were available within a few weeks which was great. They do not do the chemical disinfect, which was part of why I chose them - I didn't want that. The house is newer construction so not very challenging, but it had a lot of ducts. From quotes I got, the price was about average. I'm fairly sure they did a competent job, although I've yet to see the photos they said they'd send me. They were done very quickly, in about 3hr (others had estimated it may take 5-6 hr), however they did not need to clean the furnace and they (at our request) inspected the A/C coil for post-flood damage. The lower-than-A ratings are due to some of the details of how the job went, although I do want to put the caveat on that everyone is working way crazy hard right now during this cleanup time. (1) When the office called the day before (good), no one informed us we needed to move furniture away from all ducts, or how far away (bad). This led to some scrambling where it would have been nice to have done the mini-move in a controlled, time-managed manner the evening before. (2) The guys insisted on bringing the big hose through the garage, letting in lots of cold air, instead of diverting 10 feet to go around in order to get to the crawl space. We explained we did not have a working furnace right now, and it was in the 40s that day. There seemed to be plenty of hose available. (3) Going in & out of the house a lot, leaving the doors wide open, and only eventually going in/out the door I requested that they use so that I could prop closed the door that had the air hoses best I could. Didn't seem to clue in to the fact that we had no furnace, so keeping heat in was key, and the vacuums create a lot of draft. (4) No shoe covers, even coming in to the house having been deep in the crawl space which flooded and was still very, very muddy. Eventually, at the very end, one fellow removed his shoes as I wrote the check. (5) I really worried about one of the guys who wore no hearing protection. The hoses are incredibly loud. (6) They said they were going to remove grates, but for many of the ducts (intake especially, and high ceiling ones), I'm fairly sure that did not happen. The guys were personable, punctual. I will follow-up if for some reason I do not get the promised photos, this is a good reminder to call them, as I did give them my email to send them to me.

Fine. They took before and after pictures, but I never saw any. I also wondered after they were gone whether or not they cleaned the air returns. It doesn't seem they removed them. They were very personable and pleasant.

It went very well! The technician was prompt, efficient, and courteous. Would use again. Would also recommend to anyone.

Great experience - I had never had air ducts cleaned before so I went to Angie's List and the individual websites of a few of the companies. Vic at MonsterVac explained everything that would be done and gave me an estimate over the phone. They were not the cheapest out there, but they clean the entire furnace, including removing and cleaning the blower and cleaning the evaporative coils of the AC unit, which other companies do not do. Since the system had not been cleaned since my husband purchased the house in the mid 1990s, I thought it was worth it to have this thorough service performed. They were able to come out the very next day; I was given a window of time when they would arrive and the office called me to let me know when they were on their way. Lance and Chris did a great job - Lance went through exactly what would be done and how long it would take. The air vent registers in this house are difficult to remove as they are nailed into the wall and installed underneath the carpet, so they had to leave them in place and insert their tools into the registers to do the cleaning. Because of this, Lance gave me a reduction in price. The before/after pictures were awesome - they did a great job documenting what the ducts looked like before. No wonder my house was always dusty! Lance also discovered that the humidifier was leaking and gave me an approximate estimate on what it would be to fix it. They were able to send someone out the following day, who repaired the humidifier and replaced the pad for a very reasonable price. The technicians cleaned up thoroughly behind themselves. I would definitely recommend MonsterVac.

I got them from Angie's List. They did an excellent job as far as I know. I can’t exactly crawl in the duct work, but when he showed me using the mirrors, it definitely looked very good. The price seemed reasonable, and it was about what I expected.

Called 30 minutes before arrival time. Cleaned all vents etc as promised.Took care not to damage anything. Overall was a very easy process.

I have been working on getting a house ready to put on the market. After the construction I had these guys come in and spiffy up the HVAC system. Monster Vac guys were very professional and took care with the newly painted walls.

Over the phone estimate was given based on square footage and # of vents/returns. Very accurate. Very professional team, prompt, explained process again before beginning work.

It was excellent. They seemed to have an absolute grasp of what they were doing and what they needed to do. They helped me move furniture. They did an awful lot of things and stayed in order and cleaned up after themselves.

Overall, everything was really good. We really appreciated that the young man who came and did the work walked us through everything and was very helpful in explaining what he would be doing and what we needed to do, too. The price was reasonable, not the cheapest estimate that we found, but middle of the road. We got a good value for what we paid for.

Great, even from the initial call phone call, which was very friendly, explanatory and professional. The technician was on time and worked steadily the entire time, maybe for 4 hours or so. It was snowing, but he wore booties so that nothing was tracked in. I did not see any before-and-after photos to know exactly how much stuff was collected, but he said it was pretty bad. We had remodeled our home last year, so there was a lot of dust, nails, screws etc in there. The technician was very courteous. This was a very good experience.

I have recommended them to others. They were polite and not misleading and the quality of their work was excellent. There were less expensive people, but considering the quality was good. They walked me through what I was getting charged for and what we communicated over the phone.

Our HVAC guy told us that we needed to have our ducts cleaned and he referred us to Monster Vac. Our house is about 2 1/2 years old and we are its second owners. According to the HVAC guy, our ducts were dirty from the time of our home's construction. True as predicted, the technician who worked on our house today used a scraper to get PAINT out of our ducts! The purpose of doing this is to allow the furnace and especially the AC to work more efficiently. I used Monster, even though the quote seemed high, because I trusted the HVAC expert. I saw ads in the paper for carpet cleaning companies doing a duct cleaning service for MUCH LESS. However, as it was explained to me, they only use their regular carpet cleaning tools and they don't have to be certified in understanding HVAC systems. The technician who worked on our home today was NADCA certified and EPA certified. You get what you pay for. Drew (Mechanic-Rt. 7) even cleaned up my kids toys in order to finish the job.

The technician showed up on time. We walked through the house locating all the registers and vents. He explained and showed us exactly what he was going to do with each of them. He brought and used special protective devices for corners and carpeting so that nothing in the house was damaged by the equipment. It took approximately 5 hours which was a little longer than he had thought and he did not shortcut any service. He cleaned up afterwards very nicely and was very courteous and thorough.

When it comes to air duct cleaning, this company is great. I had no complaints with the work they did and I think they do what they promise to. I would call them again in the future and I feel pretty confident in their abilities.

It went very well. They arrived on time, were courteous and clean, and charged me exactly what they had quoted.

Not a good experience at all. Monster Vac came out to do the work and we made the mistake of letting them work while we were out. We came back to find out that they had tracked oil all over brand new wool carpet. The service manager came to the house and tried to clean the wool carpet with a bleach solution, and this ruined the carpet. We contacted the company to get them to replace the carpet and this was a major battle. To make a long story short, we fought with them for months, and the only way we could get them to remedy the damage was to contact Tom Martino and get him involved. They really did not want to make things right. Further, we later found out that the cleaning job they did was not complete- they missed one of the trunk lines.

Although it was rather expensive I was very surprised how quickly I noticed a change in the quality of the air in the house. The technician (Jay) who performed the work was very polite and courteous. Jay was expected between 8-8:30 and arrived at 8:15 and was done by 1 pm. The only misunderstanding for me was the price. When speaking with Scott on the phone I understood the price was 635.00 minus 100.00 off coupon but it really was 735.00 minus 100.00 coupon for a total of 635.00. A little expensive but the air quality in a house is very important. They found a lots of dirt and construction debris. Overall I was very happy with the technician and the service he performed. I was advised the service would not need to be repeated for another 3-5 years but I think it could probably go a little longer than that.
