MARCELLA'S CLEANING SERVICE

Professional, energetic and empathetic at first. Used off-and-on for years but punctuality became an issue and it also became increasingly apparent that Marcella would rather chat than work. Cleaning thoroughness fell off and a few times she canceled at the last minute. Really disappointing. However, allowing someone complete access to your home is too important to entrust to someone who is not responsible and consistent.

When Marcella started off, she did an amazing job. She was pleasant to deal with, the house was spic and span. She also offers a range of personal assistant services, and we had her take on occasional errands, etc. for additional fees. Then, we began to notice a drop off in cleaning quality. Since we don't have kids, we don't generate a huge mess in the span of two weeks. But there were areas that obviously were left undusted, unmopped, etc. Finally, she arrived at our house one day to clean, and when she saw we had guests, she just turned around & left. I received a message indicating that I needed to reschedule. When I called her back barely 15 mins later & asked her to return & complete the job, she refused to, saying she already on her way to her next appt. That indicated to me that she had been spending 1/2 an hour, at most, on our house. I expressed my displeasure with how she had handled the situation, but went ahead & rescheduled. I planned to give her notice after retrieving our key at the next cleaning, but she left our keys in the mailbox with a terse note.
