WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had with a contractor. He never finished the job and we were not able to reach him, he would not respond to voicemail, text or phone messages. The retaining walls were never finished! We had the Allan Block company representative come out during the building phase and tell Tom to rebuild some of the retaining walls because they were not build appropriately. He poured the patio at an angle so that the water would drain TOWARDS the house, which in turn caused the foundation to settle. He put several holes in our stucco with his equipment and refused to repair them. We later found out that he did not pay the equiptment rental company, so they wanted their money from us. Never paid the concrete company, never paid his own workers, would not give us a release of lien, leaving us open for lawsuits from the people he defrauded. We went to mediation and he has failed to live up to his part of the agreement, leaving us to file a lien against him in small claims court. In short, he is the MOST DISHONEST person I have ever dealt with. He is a great talker, seems to be a really nice guy, but he is not only a crook, he doesnt know how to do good work. STAY AWAY!
