LAND SERVICES

Kathy Land and her crew are amazing. They were very conscientious and hard working and appeared to enjoy the challenging tasks before them. I briefly explained to Kathy what I needed and her crew went to work. They far surpassed my expectations and needed no supervision from me. They assessed the situation and knew exactly what to do and didn't waste a minute getting the work accomplished with their exemplary work ethic. They are a happy, helpful, professional crew and I am a happier home owner due to their efforts. I will use their services again.

The job went very smoothly. Kathy Land was easy to get hold of, showed up on time to give me an estimate and then, when I gave her the go-ahead, she and her crew arrived on schedule and did a great job. The job took two days and was completed on schedule. All of the removed tree branches, landscape timbers and other refuse were hauled away. Kathy and her crew were very friendly and professional at all times. The job was completed on time and on estimate and the yard looks better than it has in years. I would definitely call on Kathy Land and Land Services for other work in the future.

Kathy and her crew did a fantastic job (as usual). They got both jobs done a little quicker than anticipated especially since the weather was not entirely cooperative (VERY windy).

I talked to Kathy on a Monday. She said she would call back on Tue or Wed morning to set up a time for an estimate that week. I never heard from her so on Fri left a message to please call me. From reports of others it sounds like she does a good job - if only she was responsive. I went with Mr. Lam Tran (also on your list) who did an excellent job and charged a fair price. I highly recommend him and will definitely use him again.

She did a fantastic job. A lot of my friends now want to use the services. The service was excellent , and the prices was fair.

They were excellent. Everything was wonderful. They were very professional. I would recommend them. They have integrity.

Called Land Services to pick up leaves in our yard. They were very responsive and were able to come to our house in a short period of time. I was expecting a crew of people using leaf blowers or ride-on vacuums, but was a little worried when I saw 4 guys with rakes. Next door neighbors were having the same service done and had half as many men and took 1/2 as long with their equipment. They did manage to pick up all the leaves on the lawn, but left a lot of leaves in the bushes and flower beds around the house. They were nice, but I expected more for $600. I had a chance to compare vs. my neighbors. Their house look better than mine. I would not recommend them for this service again.

Came by and provided bid; very professional. Gave estimated date for services. Arrived before the estimated date, completed work expeditiously, left the area neat and clean

Very punctual, easy communication, realized what was needed and did a very high quality job, pleasant, worked hard.

Never engaged. I'm leery of working with contractors that don't respond to phone calls BEFORE you contract them for work!

There seems to be a theme with a lot of these landscapers. Kathy came to my house, we took pictures, she measured, etc. I even sent her to my neighbors who were looking for landscaping help. Neither one of us ever heard back from her. I followed up and she did not respond. My suggestion is to get a bunch of landscapers out to give you bids --- maybe one or two will respond.

I emailed this company on Sunday, then left a voicemail on Monday. It is now end of day Tuesday, but no one responded to me. I only contacted this provider because of positive reviews on Angie's List. (written by wife of member)

I called Land Services for an estimate because they had "A" ratings from Angies List. Kathy Land returned my initial call within a reasonable period of time. She met me for the initial meeting and estimate at the property and provided, in my view, a reasonable estimate. The landscaping of the front yard was done first, as scheduled, and came out beautifully. (I wasn't present for the front yard work, but only saw the results). The work on the back yard was scheduled for a month later, after the renters' scheduled departure date. As the date approached, Kathy Land called me to verify that we both on the same page. for the back yard work. On the scheduled date Kathy Land called me again to say that one of her workers had had an accident and another was ill. Therefore, she rescheduled the work for the following day. The crew showed-up, as scheduled, the next day and, amazingly, accomplished the vast amount of work in one day. (Half of her crew was available only for the morning so there were only two working the project in the afternoon). As the job was completed, I was amazed at how Kathy Land continued to "fine tune" the work such that details I considered trivial were also addressed by Kathy Land. The back yard turned out beautifully, as well. Land Services truly demonstrates a quality work ethic that is rare in today's society. Also, Kathy Land is extremely personable and truly a joy to work with.

I called Land Services on a Monday or Tuesday, and left a voicemail message. I saw that later in the day I had a missed call from Land Services, but they had not left a message. I called the following morning to follow-up. Kathy told me that this was a "very busy" week, which I understood, seeing as how we had had a lot of rain and sun. I presumed lots of folks were looking for the kinds of services my husband and I were. She took down the address of the property and told me that she would try to swing by that day or the next to take a look and give me a quote. She also asked me what my schedule was like for the rest of the week, and I indicated that I was always available by phone, and that I could meet her in the a.m. or after 4 p.m. any day that week (I'm an elementary teacher.) It has been nearly one week since I first made my initial inquiry to her and I have not heard from her.

We called to have an estimate to have our front yard landscaped. We're just looking for the basics - a tree, a couple of bushes, sod. Kathy showed up on time was friendly, etc. Took measurements, talked about what we were looking for. She said she would get our estimate to us in 1-2 days. Two weeks ago today - and we still haven't received our estimate. If our job was not the kind of work she was looking for, I wish she would have just told us that. We called her because of the great reviews we had seen on Angie's list. Just wish we could add another.

Well, I hate to complain but since I am paying Angie's List for honest reviews, I think every bit of honest info. helps. I know some contractors are busy. But so are the consumers. Let's use some common business sense and ethic. Let's not waste each others time. I called Kathy of Land Services. She was nice enough. We set up a time to meet to go over my landscaping project which I described to her over the phone. Day of the meeting she did not show up but left a message on my phone saying she was at another job that was running late and asked if we could reschedule it for sometime in the following two days. I called back and got her voicemail. I left her a message telling her I was around the entire next day and to just call me with the time that she would be coming by. Next Day --no call back Next Day -- no call back Still no call back. If you want the business, this isn't the way to get it.

We purchased the trees and shrubs to be planted from a local nursery. On the day that they were to be planted Kathy went to the nursery to pick them up. Kathy is very conscientous about prepping areas for planting and demands that each hole dug is adequately prepared and has added soil ammendment. From start to finish, the job went exceedingly well.

They were very prompt. They were also pretty thorough in the job. They helped with some things we need to do over the fall.

She was great and I am planning to start using her again. She called me up, came out with the crew and did the job. The crew did what they said they would do. They worked as per our expectations and their price was good. I would grade her high on all the categories.

We came to know of them through Angie?s List. It was a small job for which they quoted $185, and it ended up costing us only $160. That was great. They were punctual and the quality of their work was impressive.

The entire experience with Kathy was wonderful!! I live in Fl and the work was done in Denver. She gave us an itemized list of everything involved in the cleanup. She made suggestions on what she could do to stay within our budget. She e-mailed us the before and after photos of our property. She answered all our questions promptly. She hauled away the debris and did not leave any trash around. She made suggestions on what to plant and not plant as winter was approaching. We could not plant any grass or sod. We hope to meet her soon when we arrive in Denver. She is highly professional, quick, efficient, an very organized.
