"As my employees were masking and covering all surfaces, they were very surprised to be told that this was much more extensive than a well-known painting company did when they painted their home. Protecting people's homes and belongings from damage is a vital part of the job. Thanks to Seth and Kyle and their dedication to quality and customer service. Big Deals are not hard to schedule provided you are fine with limiting yourself to the 12 hours or just adding an hour or two on to finish a project. We did more than 30 of these, just showing up and handling a list of projects until the time was up. They initially wanted an estimate to fur out walls in the basement, but decided against the project. However, when they reconnected and asked for the painting, we only needed some information on the scope and paint color and we showed up and completed the project in the same day. We look forward to the future projects he outlined to my crew."
"It was quite a challenge to figure out how to support 2 load bearing walls on a 100 year old house so we could remove a freestanding corner, but we succeeded and opened up the area tremendously and were quite pleased with the results. We also enjoyed the challenge of creating a usable covered parking, lawn and deck space from a postage size yard. The results were well worth the effort, however."
"We really enjoyed this experience working with reclaimed wood and they had everything ready and knew what they wanted. Made a great day!"
"We did this job as part of a 12 hour big deal. When we came back to do more work, we actually worked more on her gutters without charge because we felt that the work should have been right. Unfortunately, the drip cap allows water behind the gutters and in spite of all our efforts, apparently there are new drips in different locations now."
We also had some beams holding up the roof that rotted with age and they checked for sturctural damage and repaired both.
Could not be happier.
"We were so glad to be able to quickly transform his mothers' bathroom. We are grateful to have a small part in making his mothers last days a little brighter and more cheerful. We often bond with our customers and this family is especially meaningful to us."
"We love whole house remodels and this one was no exception. We were pleased to get them into their new house within one month after closing with a new finished basement with bath and new carpet, hardwood and tile throughout."
"We really enjoyed working with them even though they were out of state. With the help of emails and pictures, we kept them up to date on progress and enabled them to answer any questions we had. We really enjoyed transforming their home prior to their move and look forward to more projects in the future."
They left the work area spotless and were careful about not disturbing my gardens.
The deck is great - they did an excellent job.
"We appreciate the trust that she showed in us by allowing us to work while she was out of town. Since she has gardens and a very special fish pond, we were honored that she trusted us to take care that nothing was harmed. First time we have ever vacuumed on a rooftop! But we wanted to ensure that not a spec of trex particles entered the fish pond."
"We had such a good time. Helping improve so many spaces and installing so many different items was interesting and rewarding."
"Both jobs were challenging and we enjoy jobs that are out of the norm. She is a joy to work with we enjoyed the experience as much as she did."
"We enjoyed our time with them and appreciate the variety of work they had us do. We are looking forward to the next project."
I originally planned to have the ceiling in my kitchen and living room insulated with sheetrock installed over the foam insulation. After moving all of the furniture and free-standing cabinets out of the living room and kitchen, I decided to have laminate flooring installed, too. They were able to fit this into their schedule the following week.
They worked well with a homeowner who had not hired contractors before. I have shown pictures of my living room and kitchen to friends and family and they have been impressed with the work. I am very happy with the work and the price and would use the company again.
"We really appreciated her patience with our schedule and were so glad that we could fit in the flooring and the painting. Although insulating the ceiling is important and penny wise, it wouldn't have been very exciting after all the work of moving everything out, so we were very happy she had extra money to really transform the space."
"We had a couple bumps in the road during this project because it was kind of a rush job during holiday vacation, but we ironed them out and got everything completed on time. We were very glad that he was pleased with the end result and we gained an ongoing customer. We are getting ready to begin our 4th job with him and are really enjoying our collaboration."
"Putting paneled wainscotting on an old staircase was a bit of a challenge since nothing is square or level, but he was pleased with the result, and we got another small job done that was more than anticipated, so we were quite happy with what we accomplished in the time allowed."
"We had a job that ran over due to weather conditions and it is flu season, but we got everything completed in a timely fashion so they could get their house rented and beat my promised completion date by several days."
"He was great to work with and patient with our schedule. We ran into some unsuspected conditions and he worked with us to come up with a workable solution."
Two years ago we had our bathroom remodeled and we were very displeased with the tile work. This is an older home (1944) and walls are slightly uneven. The shower area has a large window with window sill. At the time we purchased enough tile to redo the job, but did not buy the bullnose end pieces to make finish the edges. We searched for matching tile but the new pieces were darker.Cyndi suggested we could create a pattern with the new and old tile pieces so that it would appear as if we had planned the color differences. The effect was unique and her work was outstanding.
As with most remodeling jobs, there are some setbacks. The bathtub was cracked during the removal of the old wall tile, but Cyndi purchased a new tub and installed it at no cost to us. The job took a lot longer due to the extra work to cut each tile to fit the new pattern and uneven edges of our bath. She literally had to cut each tile piece. Not one piece could be installed as a complete square piece.
I would definitely hire Cyndi and her company again.
"They were a joy to work with and the end result was worth the extra work."
"As part of our Big Deal coupon, we show up and do our best to complete whatever is on the customer’s wish list in the 6 hours we have allotted. She mentioned that she wanted some asphalt patched, but when we got there we found a 10'x10' area of driveway that needed to be filled in with patch bags. Our 30 lb roller was not broken, it was just not the right tool to compact such a large space, and we suggested that we rent an actual compactor which I feel was the professional thing to do, and created a much better outcome than we would have had any other way."
"It is our standard procedure to meet with our customers and confirm their satisfaction before leaving the jobsite. In this case, he was unavailable. He did not notify us of his dissatisfaction until three weeks had passed. We take pride in 100% customer satisfaction, but he refused every attempt to correct the situation and didn’t pay for the work. In the future, we will follow up within 24 hours to be sure this doesn’t happen again."
When they did come out, they worked very hard, and did a wonderful job doing the work that I wanted.
I had some OBS board that I had hired someone else to build me a bookshelf at the top of my stair, instead of putting up a railing.
I did not have a pattern, just an Idea of what I wanted. I spoke to Cyndi about my idea, she built the book case exactly how I envisioned it to be. She made some suggestions that would make it work better.
I had not purchased enough 2x4's to complete the job, so I ran back to the hardware store so they could complete both big jobs.
While cutting the shelves for the bookcase, they accidentally cut one of the board wrong, they replaced the board with their own stock.
They had all the equipment that they needed to complete the job, and asked me my opinion along the way to make sure we were all on the same page of what I wanted.
They were able to build the 8' long book case and the knee wall. They didn't have enough time to tape and mud the knee wall. But I was okay with that, since I have additional drywall work I need to have done.
I may be hiring them to come back out to do the drywall work.
After hiring another drywall company to do some patches, they left the drywall finish in a state that I will need to sand down the drywall patches before I will be able to paint. (I expect a drywall patch to be primer/paint ready when I hire a drywall company, I have found many contractors do not have the same theory as I do).
"We were very happy we could complete the work she needed done in the time we had on the big deal. She was easy to work with and knew what she wanted. She even had a friend come over in case we needed an extra hand getting the handrail down from the second floor. We look forward to working with her again."
"We were pleased to be able to complete the work they wanted done in the time allotted. We even had time to do a few other tasks, which always makes us feel good. We are looking forward to helping them with their sun room."
"His deck was built in a very unusual way and presented lots of challenges to repair. We enjoyed rising to the task and feel that we accomplished what we were asked to do. We did our best to work with him since he was doing part of the work himself, and we appreciated his patience with our chaotic work schedule. We had some mold/water damage in a rental that kept expanding and needed to be dealt with for health issues, just as my husband developed a medical condition that eventually required surgery to correct. We are most grateful for his understanding."
"100% customer satisfaction is always our goal and we will do what we need to do to meet that goal. There was some misunderstanding of the problem he was trying to correct and we were very pleased that he was there when we returned to ensure that we met his expectations."
"We were happy to help them with their basement stairs. Since they normally do all their own work, we are very pleased that we met their expectations."
