I’ve never been a writer of reviews, but people need to know to STAY AWAY from this company. The high percentage of negative reviews is very real. I am trapped in a never-ending nightmare, and this is literally the worst company I have ever experienced. I purchased counters 4 ½ months ago. They have ordered counters 4 different times, and each time they have turned out wrong so they have to reorder them. Everything the other reviews say about shoddy workmanship, non-responsive, rude & dismissive office staff, unreliable scheduling – all true. They have proven themselves to be incompetent, unprofessional, and belligerent every step of the way. And no one has even pretended to feel bad or acted like this is anything out of the ordinary, which just confirms this is business as usual for them. I can’t imagine how inflated their prices are if they can afford to order 4 sets of counters (and counting) only to throw away the counters and start over. Do your research & stay away!

One of the worst contractors we have worked with. They were hired to put in a counter top for our new butler's pantry through the Home Depot. Multiple red flags were present up front with the cumbersome process and poor communication early, but we pressed forward with them since they were the only option through our local Home Depot store. Our initial suspicions were correct. First they tried to add a $250 up-charge that the Home Depot was not aware of. Second, the install was not the agreed upon design and the craftsmanship was poorly executed. We are left 2 problems. 1. The edging is uneven and very large for the thickness of stone. This is bad work, but is livable. 2. The counter top is just over 10 ft long and 2 ft deep, but they decided to put a break in the stone right in the middle of the counter at ~5 ft. I do not know why anyone would do this other than it makes it easier to move the slab. What will happen is the counter top will deflect and eventually break the backsplash tile. We are now forced to eat the cost and immediately hire another stone cutter to replace the work done by Front Range Stone. A $1,500+ mistake that we will have to pay for ourselves.

I would love to be able to give Front Range Stone a 5-star review but I just can't, based on a few key factors. First the good .... everyone I spoke with along the way was fantastic. The communication was consistently great, always timely and very informative. I'd give them a solid 5 out of 5 stars for that. And the installers did an absolutely superb job. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. But now the bad ... during cabinet prep/leveling, when the one fellow finished his portion of the leveling I ended up with an incredible stack of shims on several areas of my cabinets measuring more than 3/8" thick, where no shims at all were on other areas! I measured them for level before they had even arrived and they were almost completely level every which way I placed the level. So needless to say I was quite shocked at what I ended up with. Not only that, once they left I put my level back on the cabinets containing all the shims and they were WAY worse than before he started! (Incidentally, the other fellow's leveling was spot on with only a few shims.) Fast forward to installation day. When the installers first saw all these shims, they scratched theirs heads but nevertheless put their own levels on the cabinets and saw what I saw ... that they were way out of level. So the installers tore off all his shims and re-leveled the cabinets with only one or two shims here and there. Now to the other bad ... when the granite installation was complete, I noticed a small but very noticeable area where it was clear the granite was cut incorrectly, leaving a 1/4" gap between the end of the granite and the cabinet it butted up against, where if it had been cut correctly it would have been flush with the cabinet. When I called Front Range they were once again very friendly and understanding, but they told me there wasn't really much they could do about it. They offered to send a guy out to fill the gap with caulking, but I told them I had already tried that and was unhappy with the way it looked. They did acknowledge they indeed incorrectly cut the granite during fabrication, but they weren't willing (or able) to do anything else other than to try to cover their mistake with a 1/4" of caulking or fill of some kind. I let them know I was very dissatisfied with them as a result of this mistake. All they said was "I understand, but that's all we can really do for you at this point." So there you have it. Paid over 6 grand and I just have to "live with it." All things considered, I think a 3-star review is quite generous on my part.

Frustrating and disappointing every step of the way. Under no circumstances should you choose to work with Front Range Stone. Ordered through Home Depot. I NEVER heard from my Project Coordinator, Lindsay, in spite of leaving multiple voicemails and emails. In fact, my countertops were installed and I still haven't spoken to her. Every time I call, because I have heard nothing for weeks, I am on hold for 20-30 minutes before I speak to someone. In fact, on more than one occasion I have been on hold so long that the only way I end up talking to a person is by picking an extension AT RANDOM and hoping someone picks up the phone. My freshly painted walls were damaged in 10 different places during the installation, and the manager I spoke to was completely unsympathetic and unwilling to provide any support whatsoever to repairing the damage. I was told the damage was MY fault for hiring the painter before my countertop install, except that I ordered counters WEEKS before the painter, and since NO ONE contacted me from Front Range Stone, I could not have possibly coordinated the work to avoid the situation. If zero stars was an option...

This place left my 78 year old mother without a countertop after her cabinets were done. They felt "threatened" by her after she kindly asked them to not talk so loud on the phone. After they packed up the contractor opened the door and said "I will talk however I want and wherever I want" . She has had to live in disarray without help for weeks as they won't do anything to finish the job. Even worse home depot refuses to do anything about it either. no refund even. see you in small claims court!

Response from Front Range Stone Inc
As we do not have the person that provided this review in our customer files. We believe it is for a customer in NE. We clearly communicated the timeline with the customer from the beginning of the job- with the customer on the order. Once we had approval to proceed and material was available we built and installed the job in 5 working days. We do understand that going through a remodel is stressful especially with new cabinets. We do not handle cabinet installs- it appears the contractor was the customer on the order and all communication about the job was directed through him as he was the customer of record. We received the final order on 3-17 and installation was complete on 3-24.

Wow! From the ordering process to the installation, our experience with Front Range Stone was wonderful. Lindsay was patient and precise during the ordering, and was willing to take the time to ensure all was correct. Salvadore and his crew member did the install, and they took every measure to make sure the job was perfect. They also showed our home and us complete respect, taking care of incurring no damage anywhere. Love this entire team and the skillset they provided.

How did it go? It didn't go well. I regret having done business with Front Range Stone. We purchased through Home Depot in August, and now in December have a completed, correct countertop. There are many details of problems, which I will only highlight. Everything went well with measuring (by another subcontractor), removal (done by ourselves), but at the installation the installer (another subcontractor) broken the countertops in 3 places. This began delays, denials, inspections, internal "committee meetings" at Front Range, partial re-install, re-break of countertop, etc. Here in a nutshell is what I learned, which I wish I would have known: Front Range subcontracts out every step, so that if there is a problem with installation, they are going to push off responsibility to the sub; The installing subcontractors have another agenda - they want to do the job quickly, get paid, and move on. If an existing cabinet set is not substantially level, the installing sub contractor is put in an awkward position - delay the job for an fairly expensive releveling with shims and cardboard, and not get paid; OR try to make the job work, possibly resulting in cracked countertops, which become the subs financial responsibility. The way this arrangement is set up results in an internal conflict within the Front Range -- the homeowner sees delays, confusion, non-committal responses -- weeks or maybe months without water in the kitchen and potentially without any countertops at all for some period. Maybe all such businesses work the same. I don't know. I wish I would have spent a little more $ and gone directly with a better rated outfit. It would have been worth it. Avoid Front Range!

RUN! Do not use this company. We have a brand new kitchen with very expensive new cabinets and a farmhouse sink. They came out and measured. Installation day months later and they don't fit. You know, stuff happens, it's been a tough year. But then incredibly rude Tony tells me we have to pay to remake them since he doesn't do counters for free. Uhh...I paid already. His suggestion was then to get new cabinets so this already cut stone fit (what?!). He then hung up on my bc I was understandably mad and said he was unprofessional to even suggest that. DON'T USE!!!!!!!!! This is my first negative review I've ever written BTW if that helps you understand how badly you should NOT use this company.

[Member Name Removed]\Tara- Unfortunately the farmsink was set above your cabinets that we did not place, which is prohibiting the countertops from being installed correctly- the best solution for the issue is to see if your sink base may be modified so that the sink is set flush with the cabinets which will allow the countertops to be installed the way they are built and measured- I know that 3 options were provided on 11/25- in looking at photos it appears that the sink base could be modified by your cabinet installer and this would take care of the situation. It is our goal to get your kitchen completed unfortunately the sink installation is prohibiting us from doing so. We will reach out again today and hopefully better explain the situation as we arent your cabinet installer or fixture supplier so we are just trying to assist in getting the project completed for you as well.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! If I could give less than one star I would. I hired Front Range Stone to replace my countertops. I spent $4500 for quartz counters, sink, and new faucet. I drove the new sink out to their warehouse at their request so they could use it to measure the slabs and make sure the cut out was perfect. A month later, when the install was FINALLY scheduled, they set two days for demo then install. Well, today they came for the install and when they put the stone and my sink in (that they brought with them because it was in their possession this entire time) they realized they cut out the slab incorrectly and the cut out was far to big for the sink. The installers then uninstalled the sink/slab and left. Leaving me with no counter top, no sink, no faucet, and no ability to set up plumbing again. I am pregnant and I don't need to explain the problems that this raises, but when I called Front Range Stone I was given the runaround. I was told that they will try to have a solution by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week and that I will just have to deal with the fact that I now have no water access in my kitchen. The manager Jay told me that she was sure I have a bathroom so I could use water there and wash dishes in my bathtub and that she understands my frustration but there is nothing she can do to fix it. She told me my other option (again, as a pregnant woman) was to go buy plywood and build out a temporary kitchen to use until they could order a new slab and measure it correctly. I am not sure about others, but I do not know how to build out a kitchen whether through plywood or not, and certainly as a pregnant woman am not able to life or maneuver or use the power tools necessary to do this. I again questioned what I was supposed to do until they were able to repair and install what I paid for and was told she would figure something out and call me back. It has now been 3 1/2 hours since I initially called and nothing. I tried calling her back but was told by someone else that she will get back to me. I cannot understand what kind of business believes it is appropriate for them to demo a kitchen then leave it for 1 week with no plumbing, no sink, no faucet, no counter top due to THEIR admitted error and offer no resolution. This business deserves 0 stars. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

Their prices are very competitive, but there's a reason as they have very shoddy installment people. while they were installing the new countertops, their guys took away my brand new garbage disposal and other under sink piping, damaged my sink cabinet where the doors need new hinges and also messed up my dishwasher, whereby I needed a plumber undo the damage. I had to pay a plumber $350 just to fix what they did with their bull in a china shop installers. Plus I paid $137 for a new garbage disposal and piping which disappeared. Dispict numerous calls, they say they don't know what happened to the disposal and piping and they refused to reimburse me a dime. Let my mistake save you some hassle. Their lower bid will cost you more in the end.

DO NOT EVER EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY >>>> EVER EVER EVER!!!!!!!! Ordered two different sets of granite counter tops through Home Depot, to be done at two different times, and they selected Front Range Stone as the installation company. Initially everything seemed fine, until the day they showed up to install. Installer showed up, brought in the first piece of the upstairs counter tops and said (out loud in front of me) "these were cut wrong." He said he could "fix" it. He then proceeded to do the install, but did not "fix" the mis-measurement. Then, as he was installing the second piece, he pushed the heavy granite piece, WITHOUT properly lifting the counter top, and broken one of my cabinets! Then, when shoving the counter top against the wall, broke the wall! He even told us to go get parts he needed (lumber) to complete the job! I had to leave, so I had someone else at the house watching things, but they didn't notice the damage. Then, the installed had problems with the seam between and "L" shape. He worked and worked on it, but said he didn't have the right tools to fix it. He agreed to come back the next day (a Saturday) to finish fixing it. When the installer left, he left the stainless-steel sink in the hole he cut, and told those were there "just leave the sink where it is." When it was mentioned that the sink needed to be installed with caulking, he said "no it doesn't, gravity will hold it in." He came back Saturday, but was not able to "fix" the seam, and caused more damage to the surface. That evening, when I got home, I noticed the damage to cabinet, and the wall. I then pulled the sink out of the hole that was cut, and notice that BOTH sides of the hole were completely broken in half! Hence the reason he did not want us to remove the sink! After many calls to Front Range Stone to get this situation resolved, a supervisor finally come out to look at the damage the following week. He said they were going to redo the whole job with all new pieces. They also agreed to fix the cabinet and the wall. One crew came out to fix the cabinet and wall (fourth time to the house), they did an okay job fixing the cabinet, but the wall remained cracked, even after they "patched" it. I brought it up, and they just argued and said it was OUR fault, because the wall wasn't installed correctly!!!! The wall has been there for years and was just fine, until their installer broke it! Another crew came out to do the second installation of the upstairs counter tops (fifth time to the house). Once again, the counter tops were cut wrong! The supervisor said the measurement was probably wrong (I told them they should remeasure before they make a second set of counter tops, but they said no). He said, once again, they could "fix it". This time they came out better, but the seam was TERRIBLE! Cracked, chipped and mis-matched. They then sent ANOTHER guy out to repair this issue (they called him their "fixer" ... why does a professional installation company need a "fixer"? I later found out he doesn't actually work Front Range Stone, he is a contractor!) This guy was AMAZING, did a great job, made everything look fantastic! This job took three weeks to complete FROM THE FIRST INSTALLATION DATE! Now, I have a second job (downstairs kitchen) that needs to be done. I called Front Range Stone and have been back and forth with them for WEEKS now. I let them know that I would let them do the job, but only if the last guy who came out does the installation. They refused, telling me he was "already booked for another job that day"? Huh? The measurement hadn't even been done yet, let alone an installation date set, how could he be busy? I argued with them repeatedly. I have called Home Depot and gotten them involved too. Now, Home Depot just called me and said that Front Range Stone is refusing to do the job now!!! I have to start all over again with a new vendor. I got the counter tops (and paid for them) two months ago, while there was a sale going on that is now not going on. So, Front Range Stone is now COSTING me not just time (and LOTS of it, more than 50 hours on phone calls alone) but money now. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY

April 19, 2017 we were first contacted by Front Range about our countertops purchased through Home Depot, and in their email they stated "Once you have your cabinet install date let me know and I will get you scheduled for your template (we are usually 3-5 business days out for templates). Installation of your countertops is usually 10 -14 business day after receipt of your final authorization". Our cabinets were done and we contacted them June 6 to schedule the templating for the kitchen. June 8 was our Template date. We approved the template on June 12. Per THEIR email above, that would suggest that installation would be June 28th at the latest, even July 3 if we had to count the acceptance date! On June 29th, we still had not heard back from them so we contacted them and were give July 14 for an install date. When I complained about the timeline, I was asked if I wanted to cancel my order BEFORE it went into production.... I had PAID for the countertop 20 days prior and it still is not in production?!? At this point we did not want to start over, so we decided to move forward. They came out to install the countertops, and they were wrong. Not only were they long on the 2 ends (where we paid extra for the waterfall) but it was short and cut wrong against the wall. When we called the company to discuss this, we were told the wall was out, which shouldn't have mattered since it was measured, and we insisted they do it right and refused the order. When they had slid in the countertop, they also damaged a cabinet door on the new cabinets just installed. A week later they came back to try again. the length for the waterfall was correct, but we still had a problem in the back, where the gap, which again, they measured, was so wide that the tile backsplash we had picked out to install would slide behind it. To top it off, the waterfall edges, were polished on the WRONG SIDES! When you are running countertop to the floor, you would want the side to show polished, but apparently that was not the way they do things. When we called them this time around, we were told it was because our wall was "out". Only when my husband sent a video of the wall with a framing square did the admit it may have been their mistake. Again, we had to send the entire countertop back to figure out what to do about this gap between the countertop and the wall. This is now 7 weeks since we approved our countertops! Front Range offered us a 4 inch back splash to cover the gap they have left. It was that, or send the entire thing back and start over. Once again, we decided to move forward, and accept this correction to their mistake, even though we have a beautiful backsplash we have purchased and still plan to put up, now just above their correction. Not what we wanted, but we were worn down and accepted this correction to get the kitchen done. They next date they set for us, we were given a Thursday afternoon or Saturday. We requested the appointment on Saturday and were told we would be the first and only appointment and they would arrive between 8-10 am. That Saturday, when we were finally contacted about 10:00, we were told their truck broke down on their way TO Grand Junction and they would be late. At 4 PM we finally called Home Depot because they had not showed up, and Front Range is not open on the weekend. We finally got a call back from the installer at 7 pm and we scheduled for Sunday. Again a full day waiting for them with no avail. Sunday they came to install, and although we were told it would be a couple hours... instead it was an entire day ordeal, and when we got to the final step, the last wall of the waterfall, it was too short.... Yes.... too short. So once again, after the 3rd install we had to send back the last leg so have it redone to fit. They finally were able to finish the countertop the following week, a full 10 weeks after the measurement. That is 10 weeks without a kitchen to cook in, because we could not install a cook top or sink, 10 weeks of eating out for a family of 4, 3 meals a day.... And our final product has a 4 inch backsplash we did not want but accepted to correct their mistakes. We requested compensation fro time loss, time off work to meet the contractors, and money spent due to the inconvenience and they came back with an offer of $300, which is slightly above the door they damaged. We feel this is an insult.

We purchased quartz countertops from Home Depot, and the experience of this installation (done by Front Range Stone) was among the worst experiences I have ever had with a business of any kind. Though the end product is fine, it took tremendous time investment and generated tons of frustration for our family. The company specifically failed in multiple key areas: 1. Measurement and clarity of what could be installed and what could not (the team ended up needing to cut the quartz slab right down the middle of our bar area) 2. Making those cuts (the team chipped the countertop and came back with a bad slab that they needed to take out a second time) 3. Understanding the implications of what that cut would mean (it shortened the entire slab by a quarter inch), making that slab un useable. The installation team needed to replace half of it again. 4. The installers did not agree from team to team about what needed doing. One team said a cut was needed, another said it was not. 5. My wife called the customer care team (Megan) 15 separate times with no response. This function of the company is not functioning at all. 6. My wife also ended up solving the installation issues by directing the installers to have a plumber come out to re-install. if the company's customer needs to solve it's problems for it, something is wrong. In the end, the installers had to come out five separate times, and use two different slabs to make it work. The team put dust throughout our entire house on three of those occasions, and this necessitated full house cleaning three times. Though we do like the end product, we are disgusted with how this company has operated, and the inconvenience this caused our family. We waited weeks for the countertops, then went additional weeks with no kitchen sink, dishwasher, or cooktop while the team got it right.

Awful. I purchased new granite countertops for my condo at Lowes and they subbed it out to Front Range Stone. Everything was fine until they drilled the faucet hole in the wrong place. They refused to do anything other than come back and drill the hole in the right place, leaving me with an unwanted 1.5 inch hole in my new granite counter top. To make matters worse, I live 90 miles away from my condo, so I have to drive all the way back up there again to let them in. They took no responsibility for their error, and even blamed it on me....said I should have been more specific with the installer. THE FAUCET HOLE GOES WHERE THE FAUCET HOLE IS ON THE SINK!!! PRETTY SIMPLE! Their customer service is awful. They refused to compensate me for my costs and troubles. BTW, I paid over $3000 for this.....you would think they would throw me a few bucks for gas and the cost to plug the darn hole!

I purchased my countertops through Home Depot which subcontracts to Front Range Stone. The tear out crew did not move my stove or refrigerator as I was informed they would. When I questioned them, I was told they would work around it. When the installers arrived, they wanted me to move my appliances. I have a gas stove and am not disconnecting a gas line. I informed the installers of the response from the tear out crew. They did work around the appliances, but broke a support on my lower cabinets. Within 24 hours of the caulk drying, the caulk shrank between the walls and backsplash leaving gaps. I called the next day and was given an appointment for a week later to have the issue corrected. The guy recaulked between the backsplash and the wall. I questioned if caulking would fix the problem and was told additional caulk was added to allow for shrinkage. After 24 hours, the caulk shrank again leaving gaps. I have tried for two days to get a response from the company in order to get my issue resolved. Customer service informed me my issue was forwarded to the Service department. I have not received return phone call. It has been almost two weeks since the install and still do not have a resolution.

Terrible! Shame that the Depot does business with this company. They were weeks behind scheduling installation. Then after my husband flew back in from out of state and we both took the day off to be here for the install, they canceled on us first thing in the morning. They said the crew got into an accident. Now, we don't want anyone to get hurt, but don't lie and play on people's heart strings because you can't keep your word. After 2 hours of calling trying to find out where our counter tops were, and talking to many people, we were told that there wasn't an accident, that someone called in sick, and that their truck broke down. So, you are running a business and cancelled all customers that day because someone called in or a truck broke down? I don't think so. I think they were pushing their direct customers in front of those of us that came from Home Depot. We finally just drove across Denver and picked up our own counter tops and put them in ourselves. No one that we spoke to even cared in the slightest. Not one bit. At least Home Depot refunded a lot of our money since we had to do everything except make the counter tops. We will never do business with this company again. I will tell everyone I know to stay away. Your time and money is worth more than this company deserves!!
Description of Work: We ordered counter tops from Home Depot and paid to have them tear out old counter tops, take away, and install of the new tops.

It turned out really good after a lot of fighting. The counter top people were miserable. I miss Thanksgiving, Christmas , New Years and my birthday without a kitchen. It took them 3 and 1/2 months.
Description of Work: I used Front Range Stone Inc for new quartz counter.

An hour after our kitchen was torn down in preparation for the next day countertop install, Front Range broke a piece of the countertop in its lab and had to postpone the installation. But I could not get anyone to talk to me regarding when the installation would be, and I had to drive down to the company in order to talk to someone face-to-face. Then the first attempt at an install was a disaster as the crew was incompetent and couldn't get the piece installed, breaking a support piece on one wall and tearing up the wall on the opposite side. One of the crew also knocked the fire extinguisher off the wall into the new sink causing minor cosmetic damage. The company then said they didn't have any openings for an install for another 6 days, at which point my wife, normally very mild-mannered and even-keeled, lost it and demanded that they FIND an opening sooner than that. An opening was found two days later and a new crew came and installed the countertop, only to find that the first crew had miscut the end of the piece so that there was now a gap at the very end where the countertop wrapped around the corner. I was told that a little caulk and paint to match the walls would make it look fine. After this crew left the caulking job and left much to be desired, they had to come back to re-caulk a week later. But before that Front Range sent out Sean that following Friday to patch the drywall that had been damaged so badly in the first botched installation attempt. Sean, who was a member of the crew that had torn down the kitchen (and had done an excellent job. I'll give credit where it's due!) did another great job patching the drywall, but Front Range had no one to (or chose not to) paint the wall, and so that task fell to me. I spent the better part of the next day (Saturday) putting on 2 coats of drywall primer and then another couple of coats of finish paint that Front Range did not have to cover. I also had to cover up what I refer to as "Miguel's mistake," the gap in the countertop where MIguel on the first crew had cut the countertop too much. After the second crew came out and recaulked, I painted over the course of the next 2 days over the caulk (this was part of the process) to make everything look as it should be. At this point, I had been constantly in touch with Costco and its team, and shortly thereafter this was when Costco decided we had suffered enough to the tune of $500 back in addition to the $300 that Front Range had offered us as compensation for the damage and shoddy workmanship and because of the delays. All-in-all, a totally miserable experience that we hope never to experience again and we hope we can keep others from experiencing.
Description of Work: Front Range Stone is the contractor Costco uses to provide its countertop services. In our opinion, and after our experience and maybe Costco's, it should find another provider. This company has no clue what "customer service" means. We had to get Costco involved to get this company to respond to us after the initial problems arose, and we ended up getting $300 in compensation from the company for shoddy workmanship and additional help from Costco basically for pain and suffering for our experience. That right there should tell you all you need to know about Front Range Stone.

What I liked most is they have received great reviews from other people in the industry. They were able to get the job done quickly. They have state of the art equipment so everything was very precise. Stephanie and Shay really went above and beyond for us and made sure to get the counter tops installed on the exact day we wanted. We were very pleased.
Description of Work: They put new granite counter tops in thekitchen and the bathroom.

We decided to expand project and asked her to resubmit proposal that would include taking down walls and making room for bigger island. She never got back to us. Unbelievable. We went with Flying C Woodworks, spent about 50k and got a beautiful kitchen.
Description of Work: Rep. Stephanie Jones came out and gave us an estimate for a kitchen renovation including island. The kitchen was not designed well and we had been told an island wasn't possible. She told us it would not be a problem and submitted proposal with an island too small to work with.

Front Range Stone did an excellent job of installing new countertops, even to the extent of re-doing one section that wasn't quite right initially. Very good communications from start to finish. I went to Home Depot (1503 Thornton store) to start the project and FRS is the contractor who did the work.
Description of Work: FRS installed new countertops in my kitchen.

We bought our granite countertops through Home Depot but they were installed by Front Range Stone. We were able to go to Front Range Stone and pick out our granite and working with Pauline was a pleasure. She answered all our questions and helped us in every way. The guy that came out to measure and the two guys that installed the countertops couldn't have been nicer. After the installers left we noticed a dull spot on the granite so we called Front Range. They immediately set up an appointment to come and fix it. The next day our plumber came to install our new sink. The hole for the sink hadn't been cut properly so we called Front Range. They sent someone out within 30 minutes. He not only fixed the hole for the sink but went ahead and fixed the dull spot on the granite countertop. He did an excellent job on both. We weren't too happy with the fact that there were problems but the way those problems were handled was top notch. Problems can occur with anything but if the company you are working with doesn't stand behind what they do they just aren't worth dealing with. I can say Front Range Stone does their best to satisfy customers. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.

The end product looks great. Getting there was a disaster. What was described as a small and easy one day job eventually turned into a three day schedule. On two occasions even through I had confirmed the date and time they didn't show.
Description of Work: Good news first - the installation of my kitchen countertops and backsplash look great. Getting there was a disaster. The overview - what was explained to be a one-day job turned into being schedule as a three day job costing me lots for time off work. The detail First, someone comes to measure and we look at two options (one with a backsplash the other not). I'm given two bids and told "it's an easy one day job". I go with their bid and turn another away who also said it was an easy one day job. Next I'm told they need to schedule someone to measure (this time with a laser). They say they'll arrive first thing in the morning so I don't have to take time off work. They're a no show when scheduled and it turns out the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing so the person doing the measuring has scheduled the visit for 1 PM. I lose the workday and have to explain this to my boss. So, we move on...they confirm the price is still the same but it will take two days to do the job because the backsplash is going to be done. Hello - it was in the original estimate for time and money??? Okay, just move on and accept the now two day schedule and absorb the day lost off work for the scheduling problem the day of the measurement. Now we move forward to the day they are supposed to do the installation. Please know I sent an email and text to their representative to confirm that I had the dates and times correct. Once again, nobody shows up that morning. I call and I'm told only the tear out will be done and it will be in the afternoon. I'm told the following day they'll do most of the install and the day after that they'll complete the backsplash. To me this could all have been disclosed up front to manage expectations. I would then have had the opportunity to compare vendors based upon the NET cost including all the lost time off work. The owner emailed me and said they always do the tear out the afternoon before the install. It sure would have been helpful if that had been communicated.

Not well with this company.
Description of Work: Picked up a flyer at Costco pertaining to granite countertops thru Front Range Stone. Their estimator Stephanie, showed up 2.5 hours after the arranged appt. time to look at our project. She did call to say she would be late, but 2.5 hours? Looked at the basic samples she brought with her, and looked at the granite store they deal with. Was given a quote of 12000.00 for our project with group E priced granite. Their pricing when from group A cheaper to group E expensive. Called her to see if there were any other stores they deal with where we could look at different granites. Took 4 days, 2 phone calls, and an e-mail to get a response. She suggested that we stop by their own granite yard, and another supplier to look at samples. Showed up at their place at 11:30 to see if we could look at what they had, employees were obviously upset that we had shown up so close to lunch, and we did not have an appt.. But no one told us their requirements. Picked out a granite at their other recommended supplier price level 6, pricing there when from 1 cheap to 7 expensive and I thought our pick of 6 would be about the same price. New estimate was $21000.00, no explanation of why the massive price increase. Ended up using a company called AG Masonry, based on the recommendation of a friend, which is in Leadville, Co., but as the owner said they have to pickup their granite in Denver so they are down here all the time anyway. Now get this, they did a excellent job, and even added chiseled edges on counters which would have been even more $ with Front Range and did the job for $12000.00, $9000.00 less than Front Range Stone estimated. If for some reason you decide to use this company, and think you are getting a good deal because their name is on the Costco brochure, think again.
