There were a couple things missed as agreed at first, HOWEVER this was noted and addressed immediately and they returned at no cost to finish the job fully. Good job. Big job. The only reason I gave a B on quality is because it took two attempts, but I'd still recommend this company for sure.

We hired Excel to clean our house in September, 2013. We had moved out of state for three years and rented out house here. We wanted to get it cleaned after the renters moved out and before we moved back. Excel had gotten good ratings, so we arranged for the cleaning to be completed a few days before we got home. Our son-in-law happened to drop in after the cleaning had been done and noticed piles of dirt on the hardwood floors. We called Excel to have them check it out and redo it if necessary, making sure it would be done before we got here. We pulled into the driveway about 8:30 one night after 4 long days of driving and entered the house to find the piles of dirt and a filthy film on the floor. The window tracks were still dirty and some of the windows streaked. The second cleaning crew was still here, but it looked as if they had just started working. We talked to the cleaning supervisor and the owner of the company and arranged for both the cleaning crew and the window crew to come back in the morning and rectify the situation. When we told the owner that the window tracks were still dirty, his response was "They were really dirty to start with." The crews did come back and the job was done to our satisfaction, but we were disappointed in the company's indifferent response. There was no attempt to try to keep us as customers, like offering a free week's cleaning or any other compensation. The company should have been the ones to catch the shoddy work too; if our son-in-law hadn't dropped in, they wouldn't have even known that the first crew didn't do the job.

I would recommend this service they were ontime, helpful, upfront and did great work.

They were great. They were very efficient, polite and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I scheduled an appointment and it was very prompt. There were no extra charges. They were professional and courteous. I would use them again.

We had called a week before required service date and confirmed appointment. A representative came over, scoped out the work, confirmed what would be in scope for cleaning etc and finalized appointment timelines. On day of cleaning: The original cleaning crew could not make it (not feeling well) and we were informed about it just prior out scheduled appointment. They asked if they could reschedule, we mentioned that the cleaning needed to happen at the scheduled time or not at all given that there was time sensitivity associated with the task. They located another crew who could come in a little later on in the day. The other crew made it slightly later than our agreed to timeline (seeing as they got lost on their way in). Two people came in as part of the crew. They communicated among themselves in spanish, but talked to me in english. They were professional and did a good job overall. There were couple of instances where I was not happy with what they did; I pointed it out to them and they rectified it immediately. I thought the cleaning went well. The next day, the property manager came in, inspected the work and was favorably impressed with the quality of work performed. In all, I would say > Nice job!

Let me first say that I have NEVER done a negative review on Angies List or anywhere else online. But, I felt the need to let the Angies List community know the truth about this company and their Owner, Jim. I know they have great AL ratings and as the owner put it "we are #1 on Angie's List for a reason". I'm guessing because he bullies people into not leaving bad reviews. Here's the scoop... We hired Excel to clean our house before it went on the market using their "Market Presentation" cleaning. Jim had come over a week or two before and gave us the quote in person. He looked around and was very nice and spoke very highly about everything. They clean the place top to bottom...floors, baseboards, backsplash, oven ($10 add'l), vents, ceiling fans, cupboard facings, window sills, etc... We had a very tight time frame and Jim was happy to accomodate. We had the carpets being cleaned Tuesday, the painters here Wednesday, cleaning on Thursday and the house was going on the market (and we were leaving town) on Friday. He fit us in on Thursday no problem. Thursday morning comes...the carpets are freshly clean, the walls have a fresh coat of paint. The 2 girls arive and get to work. Very friendly crew...although they spoke very little English making it hard to communicate. Regardless, they worked hard from the start. My wife went in the bedroom about 3 hours into their cleaning and saw a BIG gouge taken out of one of the freshly painted doors to the master bath. We asked the girls about this and they "have no idea how it happened" and they called the supervisor. The supervisor came out an hour or so later and said that she'd send the painter out Friday to repair and paint the damage. Remember the timeline? Friday will NOT work. I told her I'd do the repair and she said she would simply take money off the job to make up for it. Fine. A couple hours later, they "finish" and ask if they missed anything (after they packed their car to go). I noticed in the first quick glance that the light fixtures in the kitchen were still covered in dust and grime. I pointed it out and they cleaned it. Then I felt the fronts of the cabinets above the stove (the ones that get greasy over time). FILTHY...not even touched. I had them re-do (if they even did it in the first place) the cabinets. They begrugingly did the work as they thought they were done. Finally, after they finished this, we asked if they know how much we should pay. They said that they hadn't heard back regarding the door issue discount so we should wait until we got that call back. Okay. The cleaners leave (5 hours, 2 girls). Our realtor shows up to do a final inspection. She pointed out that the backsplash was dirty. They didn't even touch it!!! Even though the quote from Jim said it was part of the market presentation cleaning! Then I notice a few specs of something on the floor (hardwood). I wet a paper towel and wipe down maybe a 3' x 3' area of the kitchen floor. The paper towel turned BLACK with all the dirt. Now, I know they mopped as the floors were wet earlier but they were still filthy! Enough was enough...my wife called Jim to discuss. He immediately got on the defensive. Some of the gems of the conversation were: "We are #1 on Angie's List", "What do you think the girls were doing all day...talking on their cell phones", "We never get any bad reviews", when we mentioned the dirty floors he said "I don't believe you"...my wife responded, "do you think I walked through my ready for market house with dirty shoes to frame them?" and he replied, "yes, you'd be surprised what people do". He even started accusing my wife of trying to get a free cleaning..."why haven't you paid?" Um...because your SUPERVISOR said she'd get back to us with a revised amount due to the door your staff DAMAGED! He was very accusatory to my wife and finally said, "fine, I'll give you 50% off". Keep in mind this was a MARKET PRESENTATION cleaning...and we had to re-do the floors, backsplash, baseboards (not touched), and repair and repaint a door. We have a 3-girl cleaning crew come every two weeks who do an adequate job...but they charge $65. We figured paying 4 times this amount, the place would sparkle...let alone not be covered in dirt. Here's the kicker. If, when we called Jim, he would have simply apologized and said something like "this is not how we conduct business and I'd like to make it up to you...maybe clean again in a couple weeks or give you half of your money back", we would have assumed the girls had a bad day and given him the benefit of the doubt. But instead, Jim accused us, blamed us, and called us liars. He was straight up rude to my wife, kept relying on his "#1 on Angie's List" ratings, and basically came across that they could do no wrong. I have pictures of all of the damage/dirtiness if anyone doesn't believe me (I'm speaking to you Jim). Due to his attitude with what may be one of the few complaints he gets, I had no choice but to let the Angies List community know. I will never use Excel cleaning for ANYthing ever again and I urge you to look at the MANY other providers out there for your cleaning needs.

The cleaning was fine but I asked someone in the office that they put on the screens and that was not communicated to the cleaners doing the work.

They were right on time, did a beautiful job, were courteous and professional. Would hire them again.

They did a nice job of cleaning the windows. They also communicated well regarding where the screens were already damaged other additional items.

The workman arrived wthin the window we had agreed to, he got right to work, did a ood job, spent the time he needed to do the cleaning well, then left. We were well saisfied.

All cleaning services, which included blinds, windows, cathedral ceiling fans and light fixtures, bathrooms, floors, carpeting, baseboards, window sills, kitchen countertops and appliances, and much more, far exceeded all expectations. The staff was prompt, courteous and very professional. I will definitely use Excel Services again.

The two employees showed up somewhat early. They were pleasant, efficient and did a good job on all my main floor windows. I would definitely use them again.

The workers came close to the scheduled time. They cleaned the windows and removed the screens to clean them. Prior to having the work finished (the screens had not been reinstalled), Eric asked me to check the windows to see if the glass was clean. The glass was clean, but there was a lot of dirt on the window sills and the tracking area. Eric commented that the tracks would be muddy again after the first rain fall we had. I mentioned that having the tracks cleaned was part of the deal that we had signed up for. I also mentioned that when I cleaned our windows I always cleaned the tracks, since often that was the dirtiest area. At that point Eric started cleaning the tracks with a rag and screw driver leaving the dirt of the sills and the floor in front of the windows. Eric's partner was cleaning the screens while we were doing the upstairs inspection. At this point I needed to leave the house for a meeting and I asked my husband to take over reviewing the work done on the lower level of our two story home. Eric mentioned to my husband that he (my husband) was not as "picky" as me. Actually my husband was being very quiet because he was not happy in general by the service provided. When I got home that evening, I noticed more dirt on the floor from cleaning the tracks. Also, I found the several of the screen tabs, used to pull the screens up for ease of getting screens out, on the ground outside. Several of the screen frames were bent where they had been reinstalled, or perhaps it was when they had been removed. We have Accent Windows and screens. A feature that Accent has is the ease in which the screens can be removed and reinstalled. Overall we were not happy with the service which we received. Eric's partner, who seemed to be new, should have asked some one about how to removed the screens, if uncertain of how to do this. We will now have to have the frames repaired or replaced. Though I was told that we were the last job of the day, both workers seemed to be in a big hurry to get finished for the day. Eric also commented on how many hours they had worked already that week. We were not happy with the work done.

made the appt. and they arrived early and gave me an estimate on the extra windows that needed cleaned and amount of time needed to clean the windows.They took care in cleaning the garden window due to the plants having to to be removed and put back. they were done as stated and we went through the house for inspection which was "A" 1.

They did a great job cleaning my condo (including appliances). The bid was very fair and execution was great. Will definitely use them again (as needed).

The work done was excellent and with a very friendly attitude. We had some problem windows and they spent extra time tiring to get them clean. I would definitely use them again.

There were 2 men that were working. They were terrific, friendly, personable, and professional.

They were great. They did everything as promised. They were able to get the whole house done under the deal and they were on time. I was pleased with the cleaning and would use them again.

It was a great deal and they did a super job! They asked me questions about what I wanted to have done. The found some things I left behind and they gave those items back to me.

They were very professional over the phone. We just need the carpets cleaned sooner than they could provide.

It went super. When he was done he called me down to the basement to show me where some spots would not come up. But it still looked great to me. He was very fast, neat, and nice to talk to.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They did a good job. I noticed they were cleaning the windowsills back in my office but I assume they did it on all the windows but I haven't looked. I haven't gone to check. I think they did a fine job.

That was fine. They were really responsible and did a good job.
