Don's Garage Doors

While visiting my mother in Denver, her garage door opener stopped working. We checked Angie's List and Don's Garage Doors had an A rating an a $75coupon for $150 worth of work. We called and explained the problem, and we got an appt 1 1/2 days later. The technician (Sterling) was professional - showing up on time and calling to notify us that he was on his way to our location. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He also gave us a useful education on basic maintenance for garage door openers, which is bound to save us time and trouble in the future. Although my sister lives out of state, she was also able to get his advice on her problems with her garage door opener. We were completely satisfied with the service. Sterling was professional, courteous and easy to talk to.

They were very responsive and came out within a few days of making my initial call. Had new nylon rollers installed and he did a good job. On the day of, the guy upsold me on an additional garage adjustment option. Wasn't sure if I should have done it, but now I'm glad I did. I can tell a huge difference. The door is dramatically quieter when it opens and closes and the bottom of the garage is even with my driveway again. So it was well worth the $35 I paid. Only problem I had was that he stapled-gunned their card under my garage door opener right in front of me without asking permission (4 staples!). Almost like I didn't have a choice. It was actually kinda funny to watch him do it...Truth is I probably would have let him do it, but I didn't appreciate the fact he didn't get my permission first and that is why I rated them lower on professionalism. Other than that, I am very satisfied and would hire them again.

Exactly why I use Angie's List. Had the garage door cease functioning over the weekend. Called first thing in the morning and Don's was able to send out a technician to look at the door 6 hours later. Called to let me know he was on the way and arrived on time. Quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed the door and gave it a full tune-up in 40 minutes. Even had a neighbor stop over and ask if he could look at her garage door when he was finished. Pricing was very reasonable and the coupon I purchased on Angie's List covered the total bill. Would highly recommend Don's Garage Doors for any garage door repair!

Don's garage doors was great to work with. They came out to replace the springs on our garage door and we explained that we were planning on replacing the door soon. They said we should wait to replace the springs since they would put new springs on when we got a new door. They quoted us on a door on Friday and had the new door up on Monday. Fast, honest and very professional.

The installer showed up on Thursday, the day they were called. He showed us what intitally caused the problem and gave us options on repair work to get the door operational and the cost figures for each. We chose one, and scheduled with him to be out the next day. He showed up on time and fixed the problem to our satisfaction.

Performed some price comparison and their price was the best. My car was trapped in the garage because the torsion spring snapped. They were able to come out and quickly repair.

I actually wasn’t there when they came but my mother was. When I got home, I saw that the work was done to my satisfaction. They responded rather quickly after the initial call. They were great. They showed up in the window that they said they would. I will use them again in the future if I need to.

I called to request garage door work and spoke to the very friendly and knowledgeable office staff, who set us up with an appointment the very next day and gave us a window of 12-2 in which to expect them. The technician arrived promptly within the window they gave us, at around 12:30. Our garage doors in our new house were a bit jerky, didn't bounce back up easily when running into something (worrisome with small kids!) and the remotes only worked for one side but not the other. The technician showed me some damage at the top of the doors where a brace was coming loose. He worked for about an hour, and by the end the doors were lubed and tuned up, so no longer jerky, the sensors aligned at the entry again to detect obstacles, and he showed me by standing under the door and letting it close on his shoulder that the safety bounce back was working well again. Oh, and he reprogrammed the remotes for us! I was thrilled with his excellent service and professionalism and would not hesitate to hire Don's Garage Doors Inc again or recommend them to friends.

Same day service. Leif from Don's was exceptonally talented, professional and customer oriented. He explained each step of the process and why he did what he did. He then reset the codes for all devices whatout charge. An extraordinary young man in a classic professional service based company

My door broke this afternoon, I was stuck in the house unable to get the 230 pound door up. We called at 4 pm and they sent someone right away! Replaced the spring, the cable and all the rollers (for free). Super nice tech, awesome company. So thankful to be able to get out of my garage!

They completed the job in one day and the experience was excellent. We did not have a garage door in the house we lived in before so he explained everything and went through the maintenance for the openers and keypads as well as basic maintenance and service of the units themselves. He also gave us instruction manuals for the garage door openers which we did not have. I will use them again in the future.

I spoke to the office around 1230pm and they were able to send a technician out between 1p-3p -- Kelly was the technician who came to do the work. He was very polite and courteous; he took the time to investigate what was not working before he recommended replacing the door opener It was a smooth and easy transaction with a company I would recommend without any doubts -- THANK YOU !!!

We got an appointment the day we called. One nice thing they did for us--we were a little out of their service area, but they decided to waive the extra fee for that. The technician arrived promptly, explained what he did and what might need fixing in the future. He also installed the keypad and explained how to change the code. It went smoothly and quickly.

I bought my 'deal' a couple of months ago intending to have my garage door checked, as it had been making ominous noises. Little did I know that it would jam, part way open, and my car would be trapped inside! I called to schedule an appointment for repair and was able to get one that worked with my schedule within 3 days--at no extra charge. I was given a time frame of when the technician would arrive and actually received a call when he was 15 minutes away. Kelly arrived, quickly identified the problem and had my door operating properly within an hour. He was punctual, courteous, tidy and professional and did the work as advertised on the coupon with no extra charges. My door hasn't worked this well since it was first installed. It's like brand new and I am very pleased.

Did a quick efficient job of replacing broken spring. I could not have asked for more.

What GREAT service. Don's office manager called me the day I purchased my voucher and came out the next day. Their tech was GREAT and was able to revap an awful sounding garage door for much less $ than I thought. Great service and value. I highly recommend Don and his crew.

The repairman was prompt and courteous. Did not try to upsell anything, but he did honor a coupon I had and installed new rollers on door as well. It was a very positive experience.

Neither of our garage doors were functioning properly so we called Don's. Within a mere hour or so both garage doors and openers were working like new. The technicians (Seth & Gerrit) replaced several rollers, oiled both tracks, and made several adjustments to get the doors operational. They even replaced a burnt out light bulb. Somehow they earned my trust early on and I felt confident the job would get done right. I will not hesitate to call Don's for my next garage door repair. When they left I felt like a received a ton of quality workmanship for not very much money. That is a good feeling

I paid $89 for their service. They did an excellent job. I will use them again in the future.

Scheduling was very easy. They were able to come on a day that we were at home. They arrived at the time stated and started work on installing our new opener and doing some maintenance on the existing garage door. Once the door was installed, they went through all of the features for us and answered all of our questions. We were very pleased with their service and will definitely call them again in the future for any issues with our garage door. Thanks guys!

I had some problems with the way my garage door opener was attached to the house, and messed things up with the garage door trying to fix it myself. After I decided it would be better to have a professional look at it, I checked Angie's list & found Don's Garage Doors. Their website included a chat opportunity, so I tried it out. This chat resulted in my leaving my contact information with a promise that I'd be contacted soon. Even though it was a Sunday evening, Don returned my call that evening (I wasn't expecting it until Monday morning). We arranged for someone to come out the next day. That person arrived Monday morning at the time Don promised Sunday night, and quickly made the fixes needed to both the opener and the door. He answered my questions and gave me some information about maintaining the door (lubrication, etc.) A great experience, and the garage door opened & closed much more smoothly and quietly then it has done since I've owned the house (and the house was new when I bought it). I'm very happy with the service provided

Everything went according to schedule. Greg showed up when expected and he installed the new garage door without any issues.
