We were unable to fix the leak due to inaccessibility of specific parts created by manufacturer. Service specialist was very professional and helpful in identifying the problem and explaining process for accessing parts. The part we needed did not match with what the manufacturer recommended on-line or by phone. We searched kitchen parts companies to find the appropriate part and he showed how I would be able to repair this myself so not to incur any additional costs. I appreciated his approach in helping me figure out how to resolve the problem

Bill Smith Plumbing & Heating Inc came and did a great job. They were prompt in answering, they were very thorough, there was one part that we didn't have and he had it in his truck so it was a very fast job.

We used an Angie's Deal which was $99 for $200 worth of plumbing services. The company was Bill Smith Plumbing. We set up the appointment, and they said the window of time they would show up would be sometime between 11 and 1:00. They called at 10:00 and asked if they could come early. It was fine, so they came at about 10:30. It was two guys, and they were pleasant. They finished up the work in about 40 minutes. The total cost of the job was $191, which fit perfectly into the deal. We were happy with the experience. The only negative thing is that they left muddy footprints in the tub when they left. It would have been nice if they rinsed the tub, but it wasn't a huge deal. We would probably use them again.

They were fast, professional and did a quality job. Would hire again.

Very well! We got a call in the morning letting us know the time the plumbers would be arriving. They got here right on time, and took care of all the plumbing issues that were starting to pile up! Both of the gentlemen were professional, polite, and quick!

It went well. I called them and they came out that day and unplugged the toilet.

My mixer valve control ( handle) in the bathtub was leaking and the faucet had a great deal of mineral corrosion. Both were changed out very quickly and professionally. My only concern was that the service technician was not very communicative to me. He did not let me know that I had more time available on the Angie's deal, which I realized after the bill was written up. If I had known, I would have changed out the shower head as well.

Although i can't remember many details because it's been quite a while, i do remember that I would definitely use them again. The price was reasonable, they were on time, professional, and did a great job.

My plumber retired and I was worried about finding one as good and as professional and caring. After reading the reviews on Angie's List I called Bill Smith Plumbing to fix my leaky faucet. I was given a service window of 8:00 a.m.to 10:00 a.m. At 8:00 a.m. my doorbell rang and there was Scott. What a congenial, nice person! Scott was efficicent, friendly and professional. The faucet was fixed in no time in spite of the fact that everything in my old house seems to present extra challenges. The sink area was clean and tidy when he finished, like he had never been there. Thank you so much Bill Smith Plumbing. You have a new fan and customer in me.

Dan turned off the water supply and checked the integrity of the valves. A coil of copper was secured to the refrigerator and wall to allow moving the refrigerator for cleaning without damaging the water supply.

I had a toilet that was leaking at the base, where it is attached to the floor. When I flushed, the water went all over the floor. I needed help right away. I called Bill Smith Plumbing and they said they would send someone out the same afternoon. Mike and Guy arrived on time, they worked quickly, and finished in about an hour. I would definitely call them again, and I have already recommended them to others.

The work went well. He was thorough, besides cleaning the clogged drain, he snaked the sewer line to ensure no clogs down the line.

The Plumber (Scott) was on time and performed the replacement of a section of the hot water pipe in the crawl space.The work was complete and done in a timely manner. I would use the services of Bill's Plumbing again and plan to have more work done soon. I was especially happy that they worked with my schedule.

I'd recently had a whole-house humidifier installed by another firm. While doing the installation, the HVAC technician pointed out water was coming out of the pressure relief valve on the waterheater installed by Bill Smith Plumbing (BSP) about 2 years ago. He suggested that I call BSP back to replace the pressure relief valve, under its waranty. When I called BSP, they reminded me that when they installed the water heater, they'd cautioned me that my static water pressure was 120 lbs/sq in, which, while within specs for the water heater (150 lbs/sq in), was substantially higher than the max of 85 lbs that they recommend. So, I made an appointment for the replacement of both the pressure relief valve (parts covered by warrany, labor: not) and the pressure regulator. The plumber, Scott, arrived on time, went straight to work, and clearly knew very well what he was doing. Surprisingly, since he had installed the water heater, he hadn't know what model of pressure relief valve was needed. He attributed this to a communications problem with a dispatcher who was on his first day. This did not slow him down. He called back to the shop tho have the correct part delivered. By the time that he finished replacing the pressure regulator and started on the pressure relief valve, the correct device had been delivered. While installing the pressure regulator, he suggested replacing the main shut-off valve, originally a gate valve, with a ball valve. As there would be minimal additional labor involved, and the valve would be only about $10. I agreed. Afterwards, it dawned on me that I should have asked him to replace the adjacent valve for the sprinkler system as well. Overall, I was billed for 1 1/4 hours, which was what his manager had guesstimated when I called in my order, despite the addition of an extra task. He actually was in my house for only about an hour. However, it was explained to me later that their practice is to include writing up the invoice when calculating billable hours. While this sounded a bit odd to me, I was happy to accept their explanation, as Scott had worked very efficiently and the total time for which I was billed matched, precisely, their estimate of the time required. Note: I took advantage of the deal that they offer on Angie's List: $200 worth of services for $119. Had I not, my total cost would have been $317.95, rather than the $236.95 that I paid. I am happy to recommend them.

I had a Bill Smith service call scheduled for a Wednesday and received an Angie's List Big Deal email for plumbing services the prior Tuesday. I called the Bill Smith service desk and asked if I purchased the $99 coupon, would they honor it. They responded they would. My primary plumbing problem was very poor pressure from my Groehe kitchen faucet (original price: approx. $500). In less than 5 minutes, the plumber diagnosed the problem - a new pressure valve - and he installed it within another 5 minutes. Since I had a coupon, I asked him to fix my toilet that needed a new flapper and he completed that task in less than another 10 minutes. When I remarked at how happy I was with my kitchen faucet water pressure, he informed me that my water pressure was measuring 120psi and advised that I needed a water pressure regulator on the main water line - no pressure salesmanship, just a recommendation. I knew my neighborhood has extremely high water pressure because it caused a flood in my basement years ago. I told him that I had a device installed after the flood and he said it was no longer working as it was about 10 years old. The new devices max out pressure at about 75psi so I did need a new one. He was unable to install the device during that service call because they had one plumber out due to illness so we scheduled the work for the following Tuesday. A second plumber arrived on time, installed the device in a very tight confined space, and applied the remaining balance of the Angie's List Big Deal to the second visit - an added bonus. I have always found Bill Smith Plumbing to be reasonably priced, courteous and prompt, and very honest in their diagnoses. I will continue to use themin the future and refer them to friends and coworkers.

This past Saturday morning the copper pipe that feeds my refrigerator water dispenser sprang a leak. We did not know this until we saw damage to our basement ceiling and floor. Bill Smith Plumbing & Heating was able to send someone out within the hour even though it was a Saturday on MLK week-end. Luther arrived on time, did the job quickly and was clean, polite and informative. I will be using this company the next time that I need any plumbing work done.

Lou came as promised, at 8AM, went right to work, was friendly and helpful, and made adjustments afterward that I requested. He was done in 45 minutes and the charge was very fair. We'll definitely use this company again.

Dan was here the first time by himself. He was great. On the second call (Dec 31, 2012) he brought a helper (also great). They were unable to install the whole house filter as it called for Pex which they were not prepared for (not their fault, we didn't know about this either and the filter was not ordered through the plumbing firm.) They got the bidet seat installed (new to them). The seat works well. They made another appointment to come back with the Pex and the tools they would need. They returned 1/9/13 to install the whole house filter (the product guarantee required installation by a licensed plumber). Everything went well.Dan and helper were pleasant and helpful. Am happy to find a reliable plumber.
