They did a great job. The deal gave us money off of it so it didn't cost us very much to put in the sump pump. We paid an additional $50 because the job cost us more but we ended up paying a less than what the estimate had been.. We were happy with the service. He did a great job. He took less time than it was even estimated upfront.

He was on time. Kept the work area spotless. Efficient. Completed the repair quickly. Gave me advice on keeping the drain clean. Excellent job. I would recommend them. The business honored the coupon the same day. The repairman called to see if he could come early and it worked out well.

It went very well. The technician arrived on time and finished quickly. He also answered some general questions I had. I purchased and used a Big Deal for this company last summer and was pleased with the service. Because of this, I purchased, and used, another Big Deal. I am now using this company for all of my heating and plumbing needs. I called them yesterday because my furnace wasn't working. It was off business hours, but they came and fixed my problem. I like this company.

It turned out okay. It was a little pricy because there was a trip and that came off of the price for the discount so it wasn't much of a discount. Whatever it was that he did, we spent an awful lot of time, maybe I shouldn't have spent time showing him different things that I wanted to address but the amount was a good offer, I think it was about $100 or something. It was good for like an hour of service so by the time that he was there for an hour then $50 more was for the trip charge so it's kind of pricy, I didn't feel like I got much of a discount. Although he ended up fixing the faucet and that I was happy about. He did his thing but the thing that made it more expensive was that there was a trip charge that I wasn't aware of. It felt like I only saved maybe $50 and while they're totaling the bill, they go out to the car to figure out what the time was and what cost them and typically had them add that time, so much every 15 minutes and so that pushes it over, but I don't think that was right. As far as doing some work they seemed to be fine as far as knowing what he was doing and fixing things but I just thought that their pricing was kind of higher than what I thought it was going to be. I know that they've been around a long time and they're good, maybe they do all that same thing with the pricing but I don't know. I don't like some of their add-on things. They came when they said they would and they were here on time. I might use them again if I had to set up the pricing and that I wasn't going to be surprised.

An active drip from main floor into finished basement was discovered by us on Thursday night just before 5:00 pm. To avoid overtime rates, we took advice from the person on the phone and poked holes in the drywall ceiling to help it drain and hopefully dry. "Luther" arrived 1:00 pm on Friday (on time), tore up the drywall ceiling to find the leak, and said the problem was "in" the refrigerator. (The floor upstairs around the refrigerator was dry.) He said the water in the "pan" under the frig showed the leak. (That pan is to catch condensation...the pan wasn't even close to full.) Luther pointed to another place in the basement ceiling and told my 80+ year old parents that "the next place it would leak would be "over there." Suggested the name of an appliance repair, who couldn't come out until the following Wednesday. (5 days) No sweeping or clean-up of any kind. Was paid $199.80 by check. Within 3 hours of his leaving, the basement ceiling was actively dripping from another spot. Water could be heard "running" behind the drywall. Upstairs, no sound could be heard from refrigerator at all. Frig was pulled out, water to entire house had to be turned off. Of course it's now after 5:00 pm on a Friday night, so the phone call back to Bill Smith Plumbing went straight to the recording, which said to "push 1 to be connected to our after-hours service." After pushing "1" and hearing it ring several times, a recording came on that said that number was "unavailable to take your call." We tried multiple times over the next hour with no other response. In the meantime, we called another emergency plumber. We will be expecting a full refund from Bill Smith Plumbing. As a side note, although the "Do's and Don'ts" link suggests adding pictures, I can't see how to do that. I certainly have some.

After discovering a gas leak and having Xcel shut off my main gas line, Bill Smith plumbing was able to get me on the schedule quickly. They arrived on time, replaced the valve and the lifter pipe it was attached to, checked for any leaks and turned the gas back on. The plumber was nice, knowledgeable and through.

The service representative, Guy, was punctual, professional and very thorough. He took care of the main issue -- water that had backed up into a shower/toilet -- capably and with care. Clean up of the area afterwards was excellent.

That went really well. They came out the next day, the price was fair and they got the work done well. It was a good experience.

Scott arrived on time and I explained the situation. He immediately set to work cutting and removing drywall and cutting and replacing water line to include adding a new shut off valve. He then replaced parts to the front spigot to ensure no water was leaking. A professional job by a competent and dedicated individual. Scott also vacuumed up and removed all debris. A job well done?

Their billing was screwy, and we stopped using them.

Told us it was producing carbon monoxide and boiler and flue needed replacement. Did not need replacement of existing boiler, needed appropriate cleaning.

Arrived promptly @ 8:00 am and worked quickly and efficiently! I always worry with my house since it still has quite a bit of galvanized pipe, but was pleasantly surprised with the estimate and solutions! Work was quality, and repairman was respectful and knowledgeable! I will definitely recommend them and will call use them again!

Appointment was easy to make over the phone. They were able to be here within 2 days of my call. Company called to let me know technician was on his way. Tech was on time, friendly, knowledgable and professional. This was my first time using a Big Deal coupon from Angie's List & it saved me quite a bit. Very happy with this provider!

The plumbers at Bill Smith's were very knowledgeable and professional. We had hired a handyman ( who was also very experienced) to switch out brass trim in all of our showers and Roman tub, but he quickly ran into problems trying to figure out how to deal with 18 year old valves,etc. we ended up with leaks onto our first floor and were told we had to cut through drywall,etc. we then consulted Bill Smith's Plumbing ---- wish we a started there! Their plumber was able to adeptly replace valves without cutting through drywall. And, they never made disparaging comments about the handyman, which I thought was very professional. I'd definitely trust them with other projects--- well worth just getting the work done right the first time.

Originally purchased an offer to have frost free faucets installed into an older home. Determined that the faucets wouldn't work due to the age and configuration so we pivoted and had some other minor things done. They allowed us to use the credit toward future work. Wasn't long after that a major issue was found with part of the sewer line. They quickly responded and installed a pump, drain and new lines in the basement. I will use them in future for plumbing needs and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

I called Bill Smith plumbing and was able to schedule someone to come over on the desired day. There was a $60 trip charge and $27/quarter hour pricing. The actual cost was less than the estimate, since it took less time. There was a 2-hour scheduling window, and I got a call when the plumber was on his way. The plumber quickly got to work and did a great job.

It ended up more work was needed done than I had expected. I have old galvanized pipes and Bill Smith did their best to keep them stuck together and replaced where necessary. The hours spent on my projects were not all charged to me. I feel they took pity on my pipe situation and my financial neediness. I'm sure not all plumbing outfits would have been so sensitive. I will call on them in the future.

Contactor preventatively augured four toilets at my request. However two of the four toilets became clogged in the following two months. One cannot expect a contractor to predict the future, so I would not rule out using this contractor again, but apparently these toilets were old and not very well designed, and I would have valued some expert advice along those lines.

The office and field staff was very professional and easy to work with. I first purchased a discount from their website that immediately provided a discount for services. After making the appointment, they were on time and did a good job replacing our water heater. They did not have the flexible copper piping that I normally expect to see when installing a water heater which was odd so they the tech used solid copper plumbing to finish the job. I asked that they return to replace the solid copper plumbing and they did without any hassle and without any additional charge. I was very satisfied with their work quality and effort.

They called right away tp make the appointment. They came when they promised, called beforehand to make sure I was there. They knew what to do and did it quickly. One plumber tried to fix the flappers in the toilets and they worked for the day but then needed adjusting again. The second plumber replaced the guts of the toilet and the time for the first plumber's work on the toilets was deducted from the bill. My only frustration was that they spend 15 minutes writing up the bill each visit and they charge for the time to do that. I felt that was unfair, but the truth is, they did the work well and the price was reasonable, so if I just try to see billing time as part of the work time, it easier to swallow.

It went really well. We've used them a couple of times and I've been happy with them both times. I like that they have Big Deals on Angie's List. When I've called them, they've been really quick to respond both in answering the phone and scheduling the appointments. They've been on time and they got the job done. I would definitely recommend them.

They are prompt and give you a heads up call before they arrive.

I've used Bill Smith Plumbing several times and have been very satisfied with their work, so when I decided to replace the toilets, I went their store and chose from the toilets that were their best performers. Dan arrived promptly, with the toilets, and went right to work. He called for a another plumber to help carry the one piece toilets out to the truck. He came, the toilets went out, I was only charged for the time the second plumber was on site. Dan diagnosed my faucet problem, which needed parts from the manufacturer, and told me what parts to order. I was able to fix the faucet when the parts came. I live in a 3 story townhouse, so this job was labor intensive. Dan was pleasant, efficient, and the only sign he was here was the new toilets. Great job!
