The estimator came out and gave me a fair estimate for the work, talking through my options, and preparing a best-case estimate for the move of the water lines (I hadn't thought to include the move of the gas line at this point). He did a good job of warning me that with the age of the pipes, there was always a chance that they would break threads off and the job would get bigger as they would have to work outward replacing more pipes. I was also given some advice on things I could do to make the job cheaper, such as opening up the drywall myself in preparation for the new pipe, which I was happy to do. When DJ came out to do the work, he was on time and professional. He finished the job well to my satisfaction and there were no unexpected costs. At the end of the job I asked about moving the gas line, and DJ got the information needed to avoid a second visit from an estimator, which was appreciated. I called and scheduled the next service, and DJ came back out and did that work with the same level of service and professionalism showed the first time. When I'm ready to make the final plumbing connections for the sink and dishwasher, I'll definitely be calling Bill Smith Plumbing & Heating again.

He was awesome. He was really helpful in giving information. He just talked me through some of my questions but I didn’t end up using him. He was very thorough and very honest. I was looking for water heaters so he was giving me his suggestions about what price and if I had to use 1 or 2. He just kinda weighed on some of the things for us to consider.

I believe we just paid the Big Deal price. Everything was great. They did everything they said they would. I would recommend them. I don't know what their pricing is outside of the Angie's List but I think they did a good job and we were happy with the results.

I called many of the "A" rated companies on Angie's list for quotes on a new tank water heater. Every one of them had a different opinion about what I needed to do to bring my existing situation up to the current code. Prices also varied from around $1,300 to more than $3,000 with all of the supposedly required upgrades. It was totally frustrating, as I knew next to nothing about plumbing or water heaters. After a lot of research, including calls to the city permit office to ask what was required, I settled on Bill Smith Plumbing. They sold and installed a higher end water heater with additional insulation for less than what many other companies were charging for the base model heaters. Bill Smith also gave the most accurate info about what the code did and didn't require, as demonstrated when my water heater easily passed the city permit inspection without the very costly renovations the other "A" rated companies swore I needed to do to comply with the code for my city, which is Denver (btw, it was strange how almost no company recommended getting the permit, which I ultimately insisted on to ensure everything was done properly). Bottom line: call around to get quotes, but don't waste too much time and don't trust what a company tells you just because they've gotten good reviews on this site. Bill Smith did a great job at a good price with minimal hassle and courteous customer service. They've earned my business.

They did a fine job but I thought they were a bit expensive. The young man that came out was very nice. He took his time and did quite a bit of work. He was here for 2-3 hours but I didn’t’ expect that kind of bill. I'd give the young man an A rating but a C for the company because of the price. It just need to be made clear what they're gonna charge. The furnace is working better. He did give me a senior discount.

They did a good job, but there was no savings here. I have gotten same service for much cheaper from other plumbing providers.

They were able to schedule an appointment the day after we called and completed the services as requested.

He was great; he came in and did the service. He gave us good advice and information. I would definitely use him again. After I purchased the coupon, he came out the next day. It did cost about $75 over the certificate. The service was excellent and he was very helpful.

There was a leak in the water pipe from my disposal to the main unit. I was pretty sure that all it needed was to be tightened, but I didn't have the tools. The plumber was on time, efficient, and fixed the problem in less than 15 minutes, which was great. I do think $106 is a bit much for 15 minutes, but I needed to have the work done. The plumber was really nice, and I would call him again.

It worked out fine. The work was done quickly and he was skilled at his work.

He was prompt, worked efficiently and explained what he was doing. Everything worked great afterward, no further problems.

Installer was on-time, did the job as described and stayed long enough to make sure it was not leaking and there were no other issues. Pleasure to work with.

This group is not to be trusted. I had them come out for a specific reason and by the time they left, my bill was $200 more than necessary. Not only that, they didn't fix the problem they were called to fix in the first place: a leaky toilet. And then they wanted to charge us for the return to fix it. Terrible! I will never use this company again.

I have had problems with my water heater for months I had called another plumbing service, and after spending $1500.00 I still had the same problem. I then called another plumber and he said I needed a new water heater and suggested I get a tankless one for $4600.00. I then subscribed to Angie's List. What a blessing!! Bill smith was top rated and I know why. Bill, himself, showed up, cleaned the pilot light, and my current water heater works just fine. Thank heaven for Bill Smith Plumbing and for all the honest reviews on Angie's list. Bill will always be my "go to" plumber from now on.

Although I did not use this company since my drain was backing up and they couldn't get me in until the very end of the day, they were very helpful and when I asked who they would recommend they sent me to Garvin's. BILL SMITH PLUMBING AND HEATING gets an "A" for effort and professionalism.

Bill Smith Plumbing provides exceptional service and value. I have worked with two Bill Smith plumbers on multiple occasions and have nothing but praise for the individual plumbers, as well as the larger business operation. The plumbers arrived promptly within the agreed timeframe. Both were open and honest about the work involved and the estimated time for completion. All work was accomplished quickly and effectively, and the work area was thoroughly cleaned up when the job was done. I will be using Bill Smith Plumbing in the future. In fact, I have a Bill Smith plumber scheduled to do more work next week. I held off on some low-priority repairs and replacements until I found a solid plumbing outfit. Bill Smith is definitely that.

It worked out OK. I don't have any issues with the work itself. They came out a couple of weeks ago and it costed me close to $250. I actually requested a particular person to do the work and they person I requested met in an accident and was unable to work. They said that he will be back to work within a couple of weeks and asked if I wanted to postpone the job so I did so but the person didn't start back working as yet so they sent someone else without giving me prior warning. So that was a bit of a shame and when they completed the job, they went out to their van to write up the invoice and they took half an hour to do so and they tried to charge me for that time and I didn't think that was right so I filed a complaint and I had them write another invoice . I've used them before and they've been excellent. But this experience I had I would rate them a 'C' overall.

They were prompt and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and I would recommend them.
