My rental property had a sewer problem in early April. They "fixed" the problem, but it came back a week later. My tenant thought they did not reset one of the toilets properly. They "fixed" it again and recommended a camera down the drain to diagnose problems. About a week later, the problem is back again. I called and since they fulfilled their warranty 30 days, they will not address the problem. They did recommend a camera inspection, but I think I'll send my money to another company.
Description of Work: My rental property had a sewer problem in early April. They "fixed" the problem, unplugging two drain lines. A little more than a week later, the problem was back. They "fixed" it again cleaning out the main line. A week later my tenant is complaining about the same problem.

Started out as a pretty typical job. Clearing many years of root growth from the sewer line from the house to the street. $99 Rooter is a sub-contract operation, which has its pluses and its minuses. The plus: when the first guy couldn't do the job, they sent out another guy. The minus: the job is only as good as the sub-contractor you happen to get. Case in point, the first guy was virtually useless. He broke his equipment before even getting started and litterally said "I'm done". He did decide after that to repair the equipment (which wasn't very hard to do) and give it another go. In the end, he might as well have left after that first breakage, because he ran his crappy little roto rooter through the pipes a whole 2 times before claiming defeat. This s******* then hinted that I should PAY him a 69$ trip charge. I don't think that wasn't $99 rooter's fault, though, just a crappy sub. Obviously I didn't pay him. He did call back to the office which had another guy out within 30 minutes. This time it was the real deal. The guy's name was Daniel, and he took his job very seriously. He had the best plumbing snake money can buy and worked my sewer line for 7 hours to get the job done (after the first loser quit before an hour was up). It was a very difficult job and the roots wouldn't budge, but he stuck with it when (I am pretty sure about this) noone else would have. The charge ended up being $200 because of the length of the job and because we had to get a camera down there at one point to troubleshoot some problems. After witnessing the difficult problem I had in my pipes, I was happy to pay it, and I'm sure Daniel wont see more than half of that as a sub. (To illustrate he was working very hard for very little) In the end, Daniel worked on it for 7 hours, broke and fixed his snake twice, had to climb down into the manhole and crawl down in the sewage to finish the job, after which he decided he needed to run his snake one last time from the manhole end to clear out one last root he saw at the opening while he was down there. He was extremely thorough, had a pleasant disposition, and I was very happy to have him doing the job for me. I have every confidence that my pipes are clean to the bone. Anyone else would have ran off like the first guy to go knock out 3 more jobs for the day and get paid more to do less. Credit to $99 rooter for getting the job done and not just claiming I need an expensive excavation (which the first a-hole suggested). Its not a rip-off complany, their prices are very good, and they seem to truly want to do their best to solve your problem. I can almost guarantee over half the companies out there (or maybe 3/4) would have quit and said I need the excavation. Note for $99 rooter: Lose the first guy, he's a useless s*******, he tried to steal $69 for doing nothing, and he is doing nothing for your image. More importantly, you should use Daniel as one of your primary men. He is a human pipe-clearing machine, a true professional and deserves more work! Note for everyone else: big job or small, ask for Daniel

I called $99 Rooter Service on 10/27/2011 and he came out to check my pluged toilet and come to find out it wasn't plugged but just an old toilet that had allot of sediment built up and he suggested that the toilet needed to be replace. I did call the same day about a question I had concerning a elongated toilet to make sure it would fit and he said it would so I bought it at Home Depot and due to I had no way of hauling it he said he would pick it up the next day on his way to my home at no extra charge. He came the next day and installed the new toilet and hauled the old one away. The cost to come out the first day was $65 and was $75 to install the new one which I think was a great price plus hauling off the old toilet at no cost. $99 Rooter was very professional and helpful. Will definitely use them again for all my plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Ran a snake in the toilet and explain about the sediment build up and that's why it didn't flush very well, then came again 2 days later to install a new toilet.

We have a large home so had it rooted in two different places, and was told up front about the extra chrage, which I felt was reasonable. We had this done as a maintenance procedure after 18 years in the home. The rooter told me he found no obstuctions and not to worry about root entry because our pipes are all PVC and not subject to the same deterioration as the older metal pipes. They gave a free 30-day warrantee.
Description of Work: Rooted the main line. Be aware that the $99 price is for a limited number of feet from the home to the street drain.

Company was responsive, professional and provided a price ahead of time to which they adhered. The technician ran a camera up the inlet line and marked the exact location of our pipe problem with a flag in the ground. He also ran a camera down a lengthy outlet line to determine location of built-up sludge and also marked the location of the leech field with a flag. Provided a CD with the camera's recording. He competently answered my questions and overall performed quality work.

I am going to have a garage done, and I would need to have PVC pipes rather than clay. He was really upfront and said that I have got a few cracks but he did not think it needed to be replaced. He did refer me to someone to have it replaced, and I ended up getting it replaced. The cost was reasonable. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Very pleasant experience. I called $99 Rooter around 2pm and they managed to find a time slot for me at 5pm the same day. Matt, arrived promptly and was pleasant and professional. He wiped his shoes off before entering the house as well (seriously, how many people don't do this???). I told him that we didn't have any cleanouts that I knew of so he pulled the basement toilet in order to do his work. He talked me through everything he was doing and told me about the problem area as he saw them. I have a pretty severe offset somewhere down the line. 30 ft and beyond were completely submerged. He helped me locate where the sewer line exited the house and what direction is headed. He also figured out that the kitchen drain was meeting up with the main sewer line past that 30 ft trouble zone. I was pleased with the entire experience and can't believe how much they charge in comparison with their competition here in Denver. Apex charges $150 to scope and AAA Service charges $200 for comparable work (this is without any toilet lifting charges tacked on from them). It's also $99 to do a complete cleaning as well. I had to pay $310 for the same thing with Colorado Sewer. Seriously... 3x as much guys!?? Go with $99 rooter.

They quoted us $99 on a Friday for day-of service without asking questions, and when I mentioned crawl space access and a 200ft sewer line, the price increased to $224 and they said they could not come out until the next day. The increased price was acceptable, but had I not provided them with basic information, I assume they would have tacked on those prices when they got here, and couldn't have performed the job that day anyway without sending a different truck with different equipment. They were supposed to come the next day (Saturday) between 11-12 and called at 11 to say the truck was broken and they hadn't heard back from the tech. Given the time-sensitive nature of our problem, my wife asked them to call back in one hour, which they did. At this point, they still hadn't spoken to the technician, and said he could come out two days later (Monday) because the tech was off Sundays, which didn't work for us. We ended up scrambling, calling several companies, and Integrity Plumbing recommended Mile High Drain which was a positive experience, though more expensive (see report on that).
Description of Work: We had a sewer clog and this company made an appointment to come the next day to correct it. However, their truck was not operational and they could not come out in a timeframe acceptable to us.

A 200 foot sewer line that does not have Clean outs installed every 100 feet is very unusual. And it is also against code. We only have one technician that can handle that specific situation. So our hands were tied in our ability to properly help this customer.

My overall experience with $99 Router on a couple of occasions now has always been AWESOME! I hope I don't need them in the future, but if I do - there is no other company I am going to call! I definitely refer them to friends and family that need plumbing/drainage work and I will use them again if I need to, without a doubt!
Description of Work: I had a problem with my kitchen sink backing up and not draining properly. I have used $99 Router in the past for a video inspection of the main sewer line before I bought my home and they were AWESOME! So I contacted them again. They had Robbie out to my house within the hour, very friendly and went to work straight away! He was done in approx 30 minutes, there was a blockage in the back pipe which connects to the main - ergo, no drainage. He was very mindful of his work and cleaned up everything after fixing the problem.

We're purchasing an older home with well-established trees in the front yard. This company was recommended by our home inspector...never would have thought of it otherwise. The appointment was set up quickly and when we requested a specific person (again, recommended by home inspector) they said they couldn't promise it but would try. The day of the appointment at the exact time scheduled the requested person showed up. He was very polite and interested in the home in general. After only 32' he found a blockage that he couldn't break thru. He suggested having the sellers have the line cleaned and then we could call back, request him, and he'd come back to the scope for $75. Still waiting for the sellers to have the line cleaned...we're VERY GLAD we took the advise. No mess was made and what little water that was splashed was promptly cleaned up. The only "con" was that this person liked to talk...and thankfully he didn't show me his full back tattoo as he said he would. whew.

We were advised by our home inspector to have our sewer scoped with a video camera, and cleaned, if necessary, as part of preparation to put our home on the market. We were ready to contract with another company (with a price 3 times as expensive), when our handyman relayed to us that we'd be spending too much money. He recommended the company he uses, $99.00 Rooter and Drain. I called them the next day and they were able to come that same day. The technician showed up right on time and was able to go through the line under the toilet in our main bathroom with his video scope. I was able to watch on the video camera as he worked to extend the camera line 90 feet out to the main city sewer line. He explained what I was seeing all along the way. We were both very surprised to discover that there was no need for a cleaning, since no tree roots had migrated to the sewer line, which is one of the main reasons for a clog or back-ups. He was done in less than an hour and presented us with the full report, as well as a copy of the DVD made by the video camera, proving the cleanliness and condition of our pipes and sewer line. At the beginning and end of the video, he video'd a couple of features common to only our bathroom, which would be proof to a future home buyer that the video was indeed of our sewer line, and not someone else's. Their charge was as advertised, only $99.00, thus leaving us money to use for other neceessities in prepping our house to sell. The technician replaced the toilet as it was before and tested it for leaks.
Description of Work: We were advised to have our sewer video-scoped and cleaned (if necessary) as preparation for getting our house ready to go on the real estate market. The technician ran a scope line attached to a video camera through our main sewer line to the city sewer line, in order to inspect it for clogs, possible tree roots, and other factors which could potentially create a problem. We were presented wtih the complete report, as well as a DVD of the entire process, at the end of the service call.

Spoke to dispatcher at $99 Rooter around 11:25 AM on a Saturday and was able to schedule a visit between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. The technician showed up shortly after 12:00 and was very efficient and knowledgeable. I was charged $99 and in our case there were no additional fees for getting into a crawl space or needing a cable more than 100' long. The tech did not try to upscale any additional services, they just came to the house did the job and charged us the rate they advertise.
