$99 Rooter LLC

I really like this company they work with you to get a problem solved. They are always professional and easy to deal with and this is the 2nd time that I have used them and have never had a problem. I will definitely use them again.

Basically I did this already

Ruined our carpet with acetone cleaner and refused to pay. Had to take numerous crazy phone calls from lunatic owner before resolution months later.

Very responsive. Excellent service and attention! We purchased the $89 deal and got an email from the dispatch manager, Joe, to confirm our appointment the same day. I asked (just to make sure) that they would keep things tidy during and after the service job, and was promised they would. I booked an appointment and they were able to come out right away. They gave an hour window of arrival and were at our house right on time. Joe sent Shawn the technician out, and as far as I can tell - not being a plumbing expert myself - he did a great job. Shawn was pleasant to talk to and professional, the drains appear to be clear, and the area where he worked looks nice and clean. In conclusion, and since we have low-sloping drains that have to be cleared each year, I'm keeping Shawn's name on hand and will definitely be using $99 Rooter again!

We live in a home built around 1960. When using the garbage disposal, we turn off the water once it sounds as though it's ground up the food. Well it turns out that isn't enough to get the ground up items out to the street level and hot water needs to run through the disposal for a few minutes after the disposal is done. We've lived in this house for 9 years and have consistently had water back up in the lower level every now and again. These guys were the first to say that it might be the disposal! Of all the other plumbers I've had in here every time this happens, they've all lead me to believe it was roots from the large-growth trees in our yard. That alone was worth the $100!!! Here's where things went south. Because of the location of the water backup, it wasn't noticed for a few days until there was an overwhelming stench. Not good. So the backed up water/garbage disposal food items had created an incredibly bad smell and developed a pinkish mold in the water furnace room and under a shared wall with a bathroom on that level. Both the bathroom and furnace room were in bad shape. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get the mold up and was worried that it could make us all sick. $99 Rooter kept suggesting we use a company the recommended to come out and test for mold and then do the necessary repairs. BIG mistake! The company $99 Rooter recommended (Deep Water is the name I believe), came out and used a hand-held device to show me how damaged the lower level walls and floors were from the sitting water. He points it at an area and tells me it all needs to be ripped up. Then walks over to another spot and does the same thing. They then tell me they will need to rip up the common wall between the water boiler room and the bathroom and it should run about $5,000. You can imagine my shock; and since my husband wasn't around, I asked them leave and told them I'd call them back once discussed with my husband. After everyone leaves, I start looking in the spots where Deep Water pointed their hand-held machine and in one spot, it was a large black trashbag filled with wet items I'd left on the floor and the other area was a trash can that he couldn't see under a small table. The machine they were using was indicating water damage on the floor when in fact it was just household items in those spots! So instead of using Deep Water, I came back to Angie's List to find a recommended company to clean up the water damage. Best choice ever! The Angie's List company showed up, used a different hand-held device and said that the wall was fine, nothing needed to be torn down, no $5,000 repairs, and small patch up carpet did need to be ripped out and replaced. The whole things from them came to $300. Lesson learned? Used $99 Rooter but stay away from whomever they recommend to do water repair damage. That's the ONLY reason why I wouldn't give them a stellar review. We all need to me mindful of whom we associate with given their reputation rubs off on us...well same thing with $99 Rooter.

It went very well and he did the job very quickly. He even cleaned up after he was finished.

To start, most companies give you a 4-hour appointment window, pinning you down for half a day. "99" gave me a one hour window and they arrived right on time. I can't say enough good things about Tom (the guy who cleaned my sewer). I had tried to do this job myself the day before (unsuccessfully) and paid almost as much for the equipment rental as these guys charged, not to mention the frustration and bodily aches and pains the next day. It was a tough job, but Tom was not fazed. He just kept at it, all the time in good humor. He was clearly intent on doing a good job and was not going to rush it. His cable broke during his second round of cleaning, forcing him to cut my drain line at a lower point to recover it. He repaired it at no cost to me and even put in a badly needed clean-out at no additional charge. During the the cleaning he broke one set of blades and damaged another, which I later learned was caused by a hole in my line which was snagging the blades. (Again, no additional charge). When he was done, after nearly 3 hours on what should have been a one hour job, except for the problems , he even re-installed the toilet that I had removed as an entry point the day before when I tried to do the work. (Again at no additional charge). Finally, he cleaned up a mess in the bathroom that was already there when he started (from my failed efforts the day before). They definitely lost money on this job, but there was not the slightest complaint, just cheerful, highly professional work. I think the company name, $99 Rooter (although I paid $10 less as an Angie's List member) suggests cheap work, but my experience was exactly the opposite! Later in the day a different technician scoped my sewer line and found a hole. He took a lot of time to to produce a very thorough report complete with a DVD of the whole procedure, and marked the location of the problem outside. He took a lot of extra time (multiple passes in trouble spots) and tolerated long waits for the water to clear enough to get good images. He explained what he was doing throughout the procedure and pointed out subtle features that I would never have noticed. Again the emphasis was on quality work, no matter how much time it took, and at a very reasonable price. He also was very friendly and offered advice about how to proceed, and how to keep the problem from returning until repairs were made. Again, great service!

Ordered coupon for service and called vendor to set up service date. Vendor indicated that a service man was in the area and could provide same day service. Excellent reponse to request for service and great service provided.

Selected this service provider from Angie's list. Call was answered by a very friendly, helpful woman that I feel represented the company VERY well. (I believe that first contact with a company is extremely important and this woman performed the task to perfection ) Quote was made over the phone and a service date was arranged. Plumber arrived on time (through an eight inch snow storm) and went to work immediately. He reviewed the condition, got his tools and completed the work in minutes. My bill was $30 less than the estimated cost. Will use this plumber again and will recommend to others.

Performed rooter, cleaned 3" pipe to the main on the street. Afterwards, all drains were flowing. Plumber also recommended repairing the cement that held the metal ring that the toilet set upon. The cement had eroded over the years (I bought the house in July 2011) and the toilet was rocking side to side. He performed the repair, did an excellent job on it and the toilet is now sitting correctly on the base. Good job done for $250, as I did not have the skills to correctly remove only what was needed of the old cement, lay down new cement, get the metal ring on and align the two toilet base holding bolts. The plumber did a terrific job overall and would highly recommend them for basic drain cleaning, as well as any additional repairs that may be needed. Thanks.

The receptionist was polite and set an appointment for the next day as it was not an emergency. They called and let me know when they were on thiir way. The repairman was friendly and efficient. The job turned out to be more difficult than expected but he had a great attitude and stayed longer than he expected and finished the job. Everything was cleaned up when he finished and the price was what I had been quoted. Great service! I would definitely use this company again and recommend it to anyone.

My son had flushed a bunch of paper towels after cleaning up dog vomit. Two days later (this morning), the basement flooded while we took showers in the morning. $99 Rooter was flexible about getting someone out and actually accomodated a moving appointment time the same day. The tech that came out was professional, helpful and quick. Within an hour, he had diagnosed and resolved the problem by cleaning the main line.

I needed this done in 3 days and this company could not meet my needs. I have no problem with this company at all.

One drain was the kitchen drain wich has gotten clogged (because of its unfortunate design) at least once per year. The plumber offered advice for this drain which I think will preclude it becoming clogged ever again (after 20 years of hassels). The other drain he cleared was the drain in out utility room for which he also offered advice.

notice slow drainage in several drains. Had a short window of time to be at home for service call. Called in morning, man came in afternoon - professional, knew what he was doing and did main sewer line rooter for 89 (Angies list special). Tried to open another drain in basement but was unsuccessful - laid out options for future reference, did not charge for unsuccessful attempt.

They came out the same day I called. The young man was very friendly and completed the snake of our sewer line within an hour.

Our garbage disposal was backing up in the basement - I called in the morning around 10 and they asked if I wanted them to com at 3 or 5pm that day. I was impressed that they could provide such prompt service. I chose the 5pm slot and they even called at 4 to say they could come earlier if I preferred and I did. The man came in - he brought the shoe covers which I appreciated having a new baby in the house. He fixed the problem and even made an adjustment to a joint that was not secure at no extra charge. He was professional, quick and polite. I paid in advance on angies list and I was concerned it would cost more and there were no issues whatsoever. Great, fast, reliable service. The man even gave us tips on how to prevent it from happening again.

Due to an unfortunate series of events, Jesse at $99 Rooter has inspected several properties for me this year. :) He is friendly and professional and does his job very well. At one property we had scheduled a home inspection a few hours before the sewer scope but my inspector found foundation problems - $99 Rooter was en route by the time I called but they graciously cancelled the appointment and did not charge me anything. On another property there was significant root growth, so they scheduled to come back a few days later and cleaned out the line then re-scoped for $199 - the before and after was like night and day! They also give you a DVD of the scope which is nice to have when it comes time to negotiate.... or when you want to gross out your friends.

Our toilets in the home were not flushing . We called on short notice , they gave us a time window called 15 mins ahead time which i thought was great , the tech came on time . This plumber was very personable and went above and beyond any plumber we every met. We defiantly recommend Mark and this company to everyone we know . From a scale 1-10 he was a 15 . Mark diagnosed and fixed the problem ,are main drain was clogged he was very professional the whole time , this was an amazing price for a plumbing job .

This company was recommended to me through a friend in the area. The inspection was very informative and the man who came to do it, Jesse, was very professional and extremely thorough. He was punctual, very clean and provided a video and written report. I enjoyed him so much that I called Joe - the owner - to tell him how wondeful it went and that after closing on the house I would call to have them come out and do the cleaning of the pipes. I did call them, again the gentleman who came out was punctual, very professional and very thorough. Their prices are competitive and you can't match the customer service. I will always call them when I need services that they provide.

I called the company to get my kitchen drain unclogged. I got an appointment for the next day. About an hour ahead of time, they called and asked if they could come early which was terrific. The plumber was nice and professional. He quickly got the job done, and I am extremely happy to get me sink back. I will use this company again because of how great and cost effective they were. I used Angies List coupon and saved money which I really appreciated.

Everything seemed to go fine

After the snaking, water drained, but slower than usual. They told me that it was fixed. But two days later, the same problem occurred. The grumpily came back to retreat, basically doing the same thing. Since whatever clogged the toilet was never cleared out, the toilet got clogged again after two days after the redo. This time, they not only refused to get the job done right, they even accused me of not paying them for the second trip. They put me on the black list as a non-paying customer.
