Bennett Plumbing & Backflow Service Co

I am VERY disappointed with this provider. I called for an inspection of our backflow prevention device, and told them that we were less than a week away from the deadline we were given to turn this inspection report in. They were very accommodating at first, and got us on the schedule for a few days later (the gal that answers the phone is always very nice and as professional as possible). Great! I made sure to schedule someone on our staff to be here to meet with him. But, he never showed up. No call, just no show. We spoke the next business day and were able to reschedule them to come out a couple of days later (the day the report was due to the water district). They were even kind enough to call the water district for us to tell them that they were the company performing the inspection and when they were going to do it. But once again, no call and no show on the date they were scheduled. I didn't even get a call to try to reschedule this time, and it honestly didn't cross my mind again for another week. What reminded me of it was when our restaurant host came in to the office to tell me somebody was here for the backflow device. I had no idea who it was since I hadn't scheduled anybody to come in. I was on the phone at the time, but came out once I got off (it probably took 15 minutes or so). The person was already gone. I called the company to find out what was going on and to schedule (for the third time) someone to come out. The office gal called me back and told me that that was them that came out earlier and now they'd have to see when they could come back again. I didn't schedule them to come out that day, so why did they just show up with no phone call? And why couldn't they wait a little while? I reminded them that I needed this done ASAP, the report was past due now, they've already NOT shown up twice before and I need to SCHEDULE a time for them to be out again ASAP (and not just have them show up whenever they wanted). The office gal said that she would have the guy call me back to reschedule. I decided I couldn't afford to wait any longer and possibly have them not show up again, so I found another company (that I just LOVE, they are so nice and professional and are here when scheduled). Turns out it was a good thing that I found the other company. I didn't get a call back from Bennett for another WEEK to reschedule. I had already had the other company here and gone by then. When I told him that I found someone else since I hadn't heard back from him, he became rude (it seemed as if he felt like WE were the ones that needed him, so WE should be bowing down to him). He said that he had tried to come out a couple of times and either nobody was here or he was treated like a stepchild. You were here and nobody was here? Why were you here if you weren't scheduled to be here? Why did you expect someone to be here if you were not scheduled to be here? The time he came and had to wait, he claimed he waited for 45 minutes. What? We were not even open that long yet before he came in. I'm sure waiting the 15 minutes for me to come out might have felt like a long time to him, but let's not exaggerate. I was very happy with the gal in the office every time I spoke with her, but not at all happy with the guy that didn't show up TWICE for the scheduled appointments and then was rude to me. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.
