Ordered a trash compactor, dishwasher, and outdoor gas grill May 2023. Sales and delivery process was ok. You are on your own for installation. Salesman assured me "... we have a 3rd party installation company that does installation for us." At best misleading and disingenuous. SW Appliance will not even accept any responsibility or involvement in coordinating the installation. Calling and texting every installer name they gave me for months. Couple of call backs but, no commitments. One did come out for the new gas grill. Got the old grill out and the new one unboxed. Then realized the grill surround required some modifications. Said they would need to come back the next day with parts. They just left the $10k grill sitting on the ground and I never heard from them again. Now Sep 23 and SW Appliance left me with a trash compactor sticking halfway out from under the counter and a gas grill sitting on the ground. Canceled the dishwasher order. Buyer beware.

This letter is in reference to the service (OR LACK OF) that you will receive if you decide to use Southwest Appliance located in Durango, CO. I was given them as a service provider for a warranty issue I was having with a newly purchased GE Dishwasher. Because it was a warranty issue I was given no choice who to use but others who are considering appliance repair in SW Colorado be advised to go elsewhere! It has been 10 days since they were notified by GE of my issue and I have been on the phone with them at least 4 times. No one has been out to check my dishwasher and I still don't even have an appointment set! I called back GE and complained enough that another provider from further away was assigned with hopefully better results?? If you do call them, you will speak with a nice enough sounding fellow named Anthony. Don't believe a word he says about calling back or getting you "set up". It never happened and I doubt it ever would have. If you like being strung along, by all means go with Southwest Appliance, if you want your appliance fixed go elsewhere?

Rhonda was helpful after talking with a technician about what could be wrong. My husband talked with Curt - very nice to determine what we might do. We ended up not needing a service call and ordered a part from them, due any time - not sure of the part cost, but is minimal.

They were excellent. They responded immediately and they did exactly what they said they would do. They seem to be very honest and helpful. They took care of any issues. There was no charge. Whenever there is an issue, they just come and take care of it. They are always early. I would recommend them to anybody.

We are now going to replace our appliances. They are nice to deal with and fairly responsive. Their service people seem knowledgeable but have not been able to solve either of our problems.

Excellent outcome

The sales staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and obliging. The installation team was super courteous, professional, and thorough. We couldn't be more impressed or pleased with Southwest Appliance, especially since we had been dealing with a different appliance store unsuccessfully for the prior FIVE weeks! The contrast in professionalism was astounding - Southwest Appliance should be the gold standard against which all other businesses are run. In short, we will never buy appliances from anyone else.
