We recently had JR and company replace the siding on the back of the house, put up corner boards and paint the exterior. JR was easy to work with. Really nice guy. Communication was great. Good back and forth conversations on the project. He also texted to let me know when he would be arriving and what his schedule for the day looked like and how many guys he would have working that day. He really cares about the quality of his work and it shows.The project turned out well. I would recommend him.

We hired JR Ramey to paint half a wall and all the trim in the living room/kitchen and the hallway before our youngest kid's birthday party. First, he spilled almost a full can of brown paint on our beige carpet (which had just been professionally cleaned the week before) the full length of our hallway. I don't know why he didn't have plastic down. He told me he was getting the plastic when he spilled the paint. From what he said, he got most of it out. JR told us twice that he would come back to get the rest of it out and no showed us both times. When I asked for his liability insurance since he wasn't going to come fix it, he sent me a nasty text. Second, he did not paint the trim around the kitchen window or the trim around the two front windows. He only worked 12.5 hrs (including the time he spent cleaning up his mess) and his rate is $35/hr which would make it $437.50 total. However, we were charged $500. We provided the paint and supplies. Third, he showed up an hour late the 2nd day and 2hrs late the 3rd day. I also have text messages of this. All I want is for the carpet to be fixed or write us a check to have some else come fix it. UPDATE: After 24 days of asking (not demanding like JR likes to say) for the carpet to be fixed, JR agreed to pay for my carpet guy to clean it. 4 days after that, he sends me a nasty text about my review that I posted 3wks prior just after he no showed for the second time. Instead of just putting a reply to my review, he felt the need to harass me by texting me about my review. As for JR's reply to my review, my husband, my mother (not my mother-in-law), or I NEVER said the walls were drywall. That is a lie. And, no I was not there when he showed up the first day because I have to work for a living, but I was there by 1pm. I had spoke to him on the phone prior about what needed to be painted and my mother told and showed him the same thing. As for the agreed-upon time, he didn't work for the agreed-up time. For $500, he would have worked 14.2 hrs. But, he only worked for 12.5hrs. As for what my husband said, he ALSO said multiple times that I cared about the carpet. Just because we want to replace the carpet with tile SOMEDAY does not mean it is going to happen anytime in the near future. We have two young kids that fall all the time. What sense would it make to put tile in now? No one ever said we were going to replace the carpet anytime soon and I am not going to live with the carpet looking like that. We started our remodel 4yrs ago and have not been able to do anything for the past 3yrs. Bottom line, JR damaged property and needed to fix it. As for the no apparent reas

JR went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied , even when the project presented some challenging problems. His honesty, integrity, product knowledge, and quality work are why we will hire him again for some more projects.
