+ -1 moreRequest was sent on the 20th. It is now the 27th and I have not heard back from this company. I don't know what kind of work they do. But if their responsiveness to potential business is any kind of indicator, then I wouldn't count it being good.
Description of Work: Requested an estimate on four insulation jobs on a single property.

+ -1 moreInstalled insulation in our basement crawlspace at a good price. Workers were on time, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Supervisor stopped by during installation to make sure everything was ok. Was not informed that the insulation would smell like something had burnt, but the smell went away after a couple of days. Would recommend this company.

+ -1 moreI called R G Services on Wednesday and left a detailed message with my name and number for someone to please contact me about an estimate. Someone did call me back later that afternoon but said that the cell reception was bad and would call me right back. Never happened. Customer service is a huge thing for me and first impressions go a long way. Here it is Friday now and still no phone call. If someone doesn't have the manners or respect to do their job, and simply return a phone call then I know just what type of work they would do once on site. No thanks.

Description of Work: Mike Woods came out, measured and wrote the contract to insulate my attic, crawl space and heat ducts. He spoke English and while I have nothing against Spanish speaking people, the ones he sent to do the work were unable to communicate with me and were completely unprepared to do the work. They seemed to be day workers who didn't know the first thing about insulation, much less the specifics of this contract. They started to use materials Mr. Woods assured me would not be used. They wrapped t-shirts around their faces to protect themselves from the fiberglass particles. Last but not least, when I had someone else go into my crawl space two years later, for something unrelated, he told me that they had only insulated between the first two joists closest to the crawl space opening and only wrapped the ductwork that was visible from the opening. I didn't get in there to check their work. I am a disabled, old woman and they took advantage of that fact.

When I had questions about the cost effectiveness of R50 versus R60, he promptly answered my email. The RG Insulation crew showed up on time, did a great job (the crawlspace was impressive) and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. It was a great experience as part of our getting ready to move into our new home.

+ -1 moreI don’t have any complaints. They were here when they said they would be and did what they said were going to do. We did notice a difference in our heating bill the following winter; it was a little bit lower. We were pleased with them and would recommend them.

+ -1 moreThe company gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone. After I had called other establishments for price comparisons I selected RG to provide the service. They came out, looked at the attic and gave me a final estimate. RG arrived on the installation date on time. Before beginning work they placed protections on the carpet and flooring around the attic entrance. They completed their work in a timely manner and kept the house clean. The attic now has a good amount of insulation, the ducts are blanketed and the attic entrance has a seal.

+ -1 moreDue to a repair in our ceiling it was discovered that the insulation was woefully inadequate. Mike came out the morning he was to start his vacation and took measurements for an estimate. The completed (very detailed) estimate was emailed to me in a timely manner and an installation date was agreed upon. The gentlemen that were to do the work called to tell us that they would be about 15 minutes late (very considerate). Upon arrival they put down protective materials proceeded to do the work. They were very professional and very considerate; asking if they could use the facilities and warning me that there might be some noise. They even asked me if I would like to inspect their work, (I don't do attics), however I did notice a difference in the gas bill. After completion there was not a trace of workmen being in the house (bathroom included). I would highly recommend RG Insulation!
