The experience could not have been better! Tree Pros came out promptly when I called them and gave me a bid. I accepted the bid and they scheduled a day. Arrived right on time, worked all day and cleaned up perfectly. This was a difficult job and they were truly Pros! I would use them again in a heart-beat! Thank you for being such professionals!

Hired Tree Pros to remove a sickly ash tree and replace it with another. Got assistance from their arborist on choosing a new tree (got a redbud). Also got advice on managing some fruit trees, for free! I appreciate that they did not try to sell me a lot of services I did not need. They arrived promptly as scheduled. Worked efficiently and cleaned up afterwards.

My experience with them was very good, and as far as I can tell, they did a good job. They left my yard cleaner than when they found it. They claimed to have trained arborists, and they seemed to know what they were talking about. They were helpful giving some advice on how to manage trees on the property. I did not really price shop, so I don’t know if they were the cheapest one around or not. They actually took a while to get back to me. I probably will use them again in the future if necessary.

Tree Pros was a no-show--twice! The first time we traded calls and I left a detailed voice mail about what I was interested in. Paul said someone would be out to give me an estimate. Three weeks later ( I got distracted), there was no estimate so I left another message. Again, no one came out to give me an estimate. I'm going to assume the job was too small (or they were too busy). Either way, a phone call to that effect would have been appreciated. I wouldn't have lost a month waiting for a service that wasn't provided.

The job took a few hours, and the guys climbed the trees, I thought that they would use a bucket truck because the yard was wide open, and that would have given the flexibility to reach areas of the trees they could not get to safely. I asked them to dump the tree mulch in back, but they said the load had too much rotten wood on top. The crew leader told me to call the office and arrange to have a clean load dumped later on. I called the next day and was told it may take two weeks before they could deliver the mulch, well it is three months later and have not heard a word from Tree Pros. Now that trees are fully leafed out, I do not want any. Another problem is the amount of dead branches that are evident on the trees. When the trimming was done there were no leaves out, so all the branches looked dead to me, but I assumed that being Tree Pros, they would know a dead limb from a live one even with no growth on it. Anyway, we are not thrilled with the job done and would not recommend this company. Would give the guys great marks for friendliness though.
Description of Work: Called for an estimate, and they came out as scheduled and surveyed the yard. The man seemed to know his business. After giving a quote to trim six trees, I accepted the bid and his crew came out on 4-18 to do the work.

We dont have a bucket truck. It is widely accepted that climbing trees has less negative impact on the tree, this is because when using a bucket tree on dense canopied trees like this customer has the arborist has to cut a hole in the tree - in several areas- to allow the size of the bucket and the person in it to get inside the tree to work it. In regard to missing some of the dead branches in the trees, there are two species of trees that are very hard to distinguish between dead and live limbs in the dormant season - Locust and Russian Olive, this customers complaint was deadwood left in his front Locust. It is still advantageous to prune these species in winter because even if you do miss a few dead limbs and have to go back in spring to remove them, the majority of cuts were made while pathogens were not present and the tree is at much lower risk of being infected by certain diseases, in this case Cytospera Canker. The customer never called to let us know we missed a few limbs, but after reading his report on Angies List, we sent a crew back out to touch up the work at no additional charge, it took three men 30 minutes to complete, I, as the owner of the company went with the crew to see first hand how much deadwood was missed. I found the overall health of the Locust to be very poor, it had Gumosis, signs of Nectria Canker. I beleive that the dead limbs the customer called in to complain about were alive when my crew was there the first time and died between the time we trimmed the trees and the time he gave the report. I am sure that he has had a lot more branches die since all of this. This was during a period that most Locust trees in the Denver-Metro area were experiencing decline of Nectria Canker and had Gumosis. We still went out at no additional charge to touch up the two Locust in front of his house. As far as not dumping chips for months, the crew foreman forgot to inform the office that this customer wanted a load of clean chips, and the customer never called to inquire about the chips or the dissatisfaction of his experience with Tree Pros. I'm happy to hear that he would give us points for being nice, we instill that in our employees along with quality work and cleanup. I dont think this customer has enough experience in Arboriculture to critisize the tools we use or dont use in our profesion, ie: bucket truck vs climbing crew. When I went out with the crew the second time, I thought the work that was done on his trees by our company was of very high quality, I complimented my crew on a job well done. I am always surprised at how people will take the time to write an extensive negative report instead of just taking a few moments to call and discuss the problem and get it resolved quickly. I only found out about this after reading the report on AL. I really appreciate feedback from customers, good and bad, it helps us to be a better company. But I dont think this complaint is valid at all.

First contact was OK, but a little rushed and estimate was somewhat incomplete, listing only 1 tree instead of 2. They promised to spray this summer, but here we are at the end of July, and still no contact. I phoned twice to try to establish contact/get dates for spraying, and had to leave messages. They have not returned my calls. That being said, it makes one wonder if they value their customers, or can consider themselves Tree PROS! (Professional?)

Tree Pros' price was reasonable compared to the other estimates we received. The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up well afterward. Several of the crew members were chain-smoking on the job, and one had a productive cough and was constantly spitting. We felt that 2 of the trees were overpruned, and that the wrong branches were selected for removal. This impression was later confirmed, without our prompting, by an arborist from another company who came to estimate a different job.

I appreciate all feedback from our customers. The work at this customers property was done 8 months prior to the report, he never called to voice any of the concerns on this report. This is the first complaint we have ever received from smoking on the job, but is obviously something we need to address. As far as the employee coughing, he might have had a cold, but I don't have any employees who have a chronic cough. As far as the wrong limbs being removed, if the customer would have contacted me to discuss why certain limbs were removed, we could have explained, but he didn't call at all, this report is the first I have heard of his dissatisfaction. Regarding the other arborist who questioned the limbs that were removed, I can tell you as a certified arborist with over 30 years experience, you can not tell weather a limb should have been removed after it is gone, it could have been broken, could have been a stub, could have had a canker, a fracture etc. I have been asked by many customers about previous pruning performed by other arborsts and I always say you cant tell why a limb was removed once the pruning has been done. From the customer report: "Tree Pros' price was reasonable compared to the other estimates we received. The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up well afterward." We do try our best to provide a high quality service to our customers, it helps us to better and improve our service when we get feed back, I only wish the customer would have contacted us directly so we could address his concerns directly.

The person I hired this year to run our PHC department is no longer with us, even though he had excellent credentials (14 years verified experience), it became obvious that he was not the person for the job. I can only assume that this customers bad experience was a result of our poor decision to hire this person. Thank you for your report and I am sincerely sorry for our mistake.

I hired them to cut down a pine tree (about 40') and grind the stump. From Angie's List, it appeared the only negatives were punctionality/response and that didn't bother me, especially since most these reports were from 2009. I was going to be patient and persistent to get what appeared to be, from reading on Angie's List, the best quality of work (I know how it is to own a very small business). So, I called. I had NO response issues. I also got the best quality one could ever hope for. Paul went by my house and left an estimate at my front door to cut down the tree for $240 and $90 to grind the stump. I called to agree to the work. Paul had someone call me to schedule the work. They called within two days to schedule the tree to be cut down. I never had to be at home and never met with Paul. It was VERY convienent for me. I did not care what time they came as I was not going to be there and never felt the need to be there. When I came home after the tree was cut, I could hardly tell anyone had been there. There was no debris and I collected the mulch from the stump grinding to put around another tree and had enough to keep for next year. The bill was on my door in an envelope stamped with the address of Tree Pros. All I had to do was write the check, add a stamp and put the letter with my check in the mailbox. If I ever need tree work again, Tree Pros is the only company I will consider. Thank you Tree Pros for doing such a fantastic job! I'm thrilled.

We found cracks in our foundation. We thought the tree is going to eat the foundation, so the tree is going to go. Things went smoother than anything. The guys came in when they said they're going to come. They ground the stump really deeply and well. They charged quiet a less than everybody else. They didn't damage anything. They were really superb. If I ever need tree guys again I will definitely call them. I have already recommended them.

We worked for 3 neighbors, all of them were happy with the work once completed and paid for the work. The customer who called in this report was happy with the work we perfomed at her house which entailed the largest amount of work and involved some very technical tree removal in a very tight spot as well as some fine pruning, she was very happy when we were finished. The other neighbors were also happy when were fininshed. The customer who called in this report was incorrect about the date the work was finished, the work was completed on May 25, 2010. About one month after the work was completed, I got a call from one of the other two neighbors that a limb had broken out of the tree we trimmed and landed on her neghbors house, this person was yelling, cursing, calling me names, threatening me and acting literally insane. I told told her I would come out the following day to assess, she said if I didnt come out right that minute, she would be suing me. I decided that given the way she was talking to me, it would be better to have my insurance agent deal with the situation. They reveiwed and denied her claim. The reason the claim was denied is because it was an act of nature and not our fault. We pruned the tree to ANSI standards and TCIA standards, it was a weak limb due to decay that could not be seen from the outside of the limb. The reason the limb broke was due to a micro burst that downed trees in the exact area we pruned the tree. The micro burst occured on June 25, 2010 which is when we recieved the call. Below is the actual historical weather data sheet from NOAA website. I am really sorry for what this customer went through, but to blame us in not fair at all, and if she would have treated me with a little more respect, i would have gladly dealt with her directlty. As customers who read our reports can see, we really do care about our customers. June 25th IN 2010...WIND GUSTS ASSOCIATED WITH A DRY MICROBURST DOWNED SEVERAL TREES IN THE VICINITY OF 14TH AND FEDERAL...AND NEAR BAYAUD ST. AND CLARKSON ST. IN DENVER. AT DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT...A PEAK WIND GUST TO 45 MPH WAS OBSERVED FROM THE SOUTHWEST

This was my second time using Tree Pros since I had a good experience with them a few years ago. I did not even get a second quote this time because their quote was less than I thought it would be. They were a few hours late on the scheduled day but called the day before to tell so. I am happy and relieved to get this work done because there was a lot of overgrowth and I was worried about limbs falling on the house and into my neighbors yards. A very All-American company.

I contacted Tree Pros because of reports on Angie's list, and I highly recommend this company. Their service was excellent, and their price was the most competitive of several bids I received. From providing the estimate to scheduling and confirming the removal date, Paul's responded quickly to any calls. The crew that removed the tree was prompt, personable and professional. Because there was snow on the ground when the tree was removed, they came back when it was warmer to clean up the chips and sawdust.

Paul came out to do an estimate about 2 weeks ago, was real fast. Was able to schedule a week later, and they just came out today. Got here at 10am and started work just as soon as they knocked and said hi. You cannot even tell where the trees they removed were. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away. Tree guys even gave me back the decorations that were stuck in the tree from Halloween! My yard looks so different now and I am super happy about the price I had to pay to get it all done! They did require payment when finished.

I took a while for them to fit us in their schedule, and they never called us prior to the visit (a little unnerving), but when the day came, they showed up on time, did what was promised for the exact price promised. Funny thing, they didn't get payment on the day and sent me a bill weeks later. Of course, I paid them happily. It just seemed great to work with people who could imply such trust.

I called three Angie's List - recommended tree pruners, all of whom were professional and Tree Pros had the best price. We scheduled a date in the fall and they showed up promptly, climbed the tree and found a bees nest so they had to abandon the job. However, they updated me and reschedule for December. Again, they showed up promptly and we couldn't find the owners of the two cards parked smack under the tree, so we had to reschedule. This time, they came out the afternoon before the scheduled pruning and put up "no parking" signs under the tree. This time, they were able to complete the job. It took three guys about 2 hours to climb the tree and prune it (amazing to watch and entertained my preschooler for an hour before school). They also pruned a smaller tree, a huge rose bush and brought some overgrown plants down to the ground. The raked everything into the street and then a truck came by a few hours later to pick up everything. The yard was left debris-free.

Paul was professional and courteous from the first call. When he came to give the estimate of work (which was in a day of calling), Paul took the time to examine and explain all of the trees on our property (and we have a lot of different trees on our property!). You could definitely tell that Paul is knowledgeable about the proper care of trees and enjoys his work. Our appointment was timely after the estimate call. We had to reschedule twice with Paul and company since the weather was bad and he was concerned over safety for him and his team, which is not a bad thing and is respected. Overall, the work and cleanup was performed professionally and swiftly. We have since recommended Tree Pros to a colleague and a neighbor based on their work for us. We would definitely use Tree Pros again for future needs.
