Responded immediately. Was able to show up the next day. The person that was here was older and had a lot of experience. He analyzed what was happening, ruled out the water heater, and will be back in a few days to replace some valves under 2 bathroom sinks. Dodged the water heater bullet!

Tipping Hat installed a new HVAC system for our home. The estimate was for the work to take two days and they needed an extra morning due to a part that was not available. We needed both a mechanical inspection and an electrical inspection. They scheduled the inspections, allowing us to pick a day that worked for us. The mechanical inspector noted that the installation exceeded what is required by code. We are very happy to recommend this business and plan to use them for future plumbing, heating and electrical projects.

Unfortunately I can no longer recommend Tipping Hat. I was a long term, satisfied customer but after the last 3 negative experiences with no effort by the company to make things right, I am looking for a new provider. One of the three negative experiences involved getting a quote for a repair that was significant enough in cost (more than $3000) that I got a second company to look at the furnace (not telling them I had already had the issue evaluated). Their assessment indicated the problem was a couple hundred dollar part and about an hour of time to install. I asked a *could it be* question and the tech double checked that part and said no. Went with second company for the repair and furnace has been running fine since. Another experience: I scheduled an appointment more than two months out (as I was told the annual service appointments could not be scheduled until September). Given how far out the appointment was I followed up periodically to confirm the appointment, with the last confirmation call happening day before appointment. On day of appointment the arrival window was 1-3 pm, and so I asked my husband to call and see approximately what time we could expect the technician since we were already within the window. When he called he was told we were rescheduled to Tuesday. How did they know we would be available on Tuesday? And when were they planning on telling us about the reschedule? We wouldn't have known about being rescheduled unless we called. Turns out they had us scheduled with a tech that wasnt even working that day, which means I should have been contacted in the morning as soon as the mistake was caught. I found that out when I called to say that I needed them to come as promised, reminding them I had explained when I set up the appointment that I needed to work around the schedule of those that reside in the home. They said, *your husband agreed* to the reschedule. I called 5 minutes after he said OK (as he wasnt given an option), and found out even if he had not said yes there was nothing the scheduler could have done as they had no one to do the work. I was told a manager would call to discuss this matter. As expected, I never heard from anyone.

I explained to the person taking my call that our kitchen drain was running slow (a partial blockage in the 1 1/2" drain line). The first technician that arrived did not have the correct sized equipment to clear the line. He contacted his co. and they called us back to re-schedule the next day. He discovered a split nut on the wall tube and replaced it. They did not charge us for that service call. The next afternoon a very pleasant young man returned with the correct equipment and cleared the line. We were charged for the cleaning( $96.00) and they waived the service call ($26.00) for not clearing the line at the initial appointment. I will always work with a company that makes things right when they make a mistake!

Sean professionally and expertly evaluated my house for central air, and, after some logistical delays due to scheduling during a super busy time of the year, had his team of John and Brandon perform the installation. Tipping Hat replaced my swamp cooler in late May 2021. Edwin and Alden did a great job replacing the cooler and they were finished within half a day. Sean provided the estimate and it was well in line with other estimates. Everyone was very professional. The Aerocool Pro cooler works wonderfully well for our home.

Service pro Sean F. committed Tipping Hat to install 2 AC units on 5/22/21 at my home for $12,670. The job was not completed and he ghosted me after getting the check. I tried calling the office and Sean F. multiple times and went directly to voicemail. There was not even a call back after driving to their office on 6/5/21. Tianna, the phone operator, said Sean would call me first thing Monday morning and never heard back. My mistake was paying Tipping Hat before the job was done. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
