Originally I wrote a really bad review because the technician who came out to my house diagnosed a part that needed to be replaced and ended up charging me $798 for it. Altogether, the cost of service with labor, after hours charge, everything all included came to $1,075.00. The problem ended up being a broken blower motor. When I went online after the fact and researched the part number for the blower motor, I did find it online for $98. When I wrote an extremely negative review saying I would never use them again since I was charged $1,075.00 for something that I found online for 98 bucks, the operations manager called me and said that he had been authorized to refund $100 of the money I had paid in exchange for a better review. I agreed, and would like to update my review now to include the high points. He did apologize for the high cost. I was impressed that they would call me back and offer to refund part of my money. Not many companies out there would do this. The technician was very good, he was punctual, he was friendly. He was professional and knowledgeable, he was clean and seemed well educated. He was also more than willing to go out of his way to get the part and install it in a timely manner. The diagnosis took about 5 minutes and the installation of the part took about 10 minutes, so it was very fast! It seemed like a very easy fix - he must have been very knowledgeable because it just seemed so simple. He really didn't have to fuss with it at all! That job would have certainly taken me a lot more time since I wouldn't have even known where to start. I did see another bad review saying that someone called after hours and did not get a return phone call. I have to say that that was not the case for me. I called about 5 companies after hours, and this one was actually the ONLY one to call me back before business hours the next time. So I was very grateful for that. Altogether I can't say I would definitely use this service again in the future just because it does seem quite expensive for what was done, but the way the problem was handled was very good and it was nice to get a follow up phone call from the operations manager. I think that if anyone out there is experiencing an after-hours emergency and understands that there will come a cost associated with doing business with such a high quality business, then I would say definitely use them, as they did the job right, did it well and did it quickly.
Description of Work: The technician was very professional and punctual, I called on a Sunday afternoon with a furnace not working, and out of 4 companies that I called, this was the only one who responded (all said they offered 24/7 service by the way). He came out and diagnosed a problem with the draft induction motor and gave me a quote, picked up the part and replaced it.

Although they say they have 24 hour 7 day a week emergency service, I called a little after 5 on a Saturday and left a message asking for a return call. No one EVER returned my call. They need to make sure they indicate that they are not available after hours and have no emergency after hour service, as their listing is misleading.

Once we received this review from [member name removed] we were concerned, when our office is closed we use an answering service (Alphapage) to direct the technicians, we do not take mere recordings, you should speak to a live person 24 hours a day. Thankfully, [member name removed]contacted us today to share her experience with me personally, our computer system has no record of her call, there is small company that goes by the name All Weather Mechanical here in town, where as we are All Weather Heating and Cooling LLC. My name is Robert Piele and I am the Operations manager, if anyone has a similar issue contact me me personally on my cell 24/7, we do not wan't persons with no heat to go through such an experience. We came home from the hospital with our newborn and our furnace quit that night. Robert and Kevin came out the next day only to find that our blower motor seized. At this point it was Monday evening (12/23) with the Christmas holiday right around the corner. Robert was able to manually restart the furnace and we planned on touching base with Robert the next morning to schedule the installation of a new furnace on Thursday 12/26. Unfortunately the furnace quit again that night. During all of this our hot water heater stopped working and I was unable to keep the pilot light lit. I spoke with Robert the next morning and he was able to move up our installation to that afternoon, Christmas eve. Robert also came out to take a look at our hot water heater out of concern for the fact we had a four day old baby and no heat or hot water. Robert was able to get the hot water heater back up and running and his install crew had the new furnace in that afternoon. We appreciated his concern for our four day old baby girl. All Weather Heating and Cooling truly saved our Christmas! If we have HVAC concerns in the future I will be calling All Weather. - Kevin

On call person, named SANDER was an absolute JERK. Did not know anything about the company and when, at 4 in the morning with freezing house I gave him my phone number, he said "I am assuming that is your phone number, because I asked for your NAME!?" Not the workers obviously, but bad experience.

It was really good. We did have additional cost because we had problems with our furnace but the initial deal was good. The only strange thing is that it appeared that the technician was unaware that we had bought a "Big Deal" from Angie's List so therefore he tried to charge me for the service call, but when I informed him that I bought a "Big Deal", he said I needed a code and then we got it figured out. He was just unaware that I had even bought a "Big Deal".

The install went well. In the middle of the night the cold water line attaching to the humidifier broke loose flooding the basement. I purchased a home humidifier from All Weather Heating and Cooling in January 2013 (through Angie's List) and recently noted some dripping from an attached water source. I called this business this morning and they had the problem fixed before noon. I anticipated a charge for the quick service and the part that needed to be replaced, but was told it was all under warranty. Robert was so pleasant and professional. Although I had some concerns about the initial installation process in January, I can't say enough good things about the service I received from All Weather Heating and Cooling today. They are a company that stands behind their service.

Overall I would not recommend this company. I purchased this deal on Angies list for $399. I was thinking of having a humidifier installed and this seemed like a good deal. I thought since this was offered on Angies list it must be a good company. I won't say they're terrible but I just wouldn't recommend them. I purchased the deal and called their office to set up an appointment. When I purchased this I didn't know there were other options (more expensive options) which could have been purchased, but since we had a six month old baby, and money was tight, I was fine with what I had purchased. They told me when I called that someone would first have to come out and look at our furnace to see how the humidifier should be installed and then I could make an appointment to have it installed. This seemed reasonable since I'm sure there are many different kinds of furnaces out there so we made that appointment. I did make sure to go back and double check my voucher however to verify it did include installation and there were no exceptions in fine print, which there were not. The man who came out to the house seemed friendly at first. He came down and looked at the furnace but then began his pushy sales pitch. He was telling me how the humidifier I purchased wasn't really a good one, (which I was confused as to why they would sell it then?) and that it was also going to require electrical work and extra duct work to be done and probably wouldn't really work with our furnace so in the long run I would be better off going with a different unit. Although I was told that would require electrical work too. When I asked how much the other unit would be, he told me $1,000!! So now I went from $400 to a $1000 humidifier! I told him that seemed like a lot more than I was planning to spend. So then he gets out a big notebook with laminated pages of prices and articles. It completely reminded me of being at a timeshare presentation! He shows me how I am getting a good deal on the $400 install because the unit itself normally costs $500 (which is completely untrue because I looked up the cost before I bought the voucher and it was I believe around $200 but seemed like a good deal with the install). Anyways, he continues to tell me how much better this other unit is and is pressuring me to give him an answer right then and there. So just to get him out of my house at that point I told him I would need to discuss it with my husband first before making a decision and would call to make an installation appointment and let them know what I decided. At this time, I was staying home from work with my baby so I realize I may not have looked like a professional but to add to my annoyance at this point, as he was leaving, he told me he could just come back at a different time so he could explain all of this to my husband. Gee, thank you so much, but I think i am capable of explaining what you told me to my husband. I happen to be an airline captain for a living its not 1950. So when I did call the office to make an appointment I told them I wanted what I originally purchased and I wasn't very happy with the guy they had sent over who was clearly just there as a sales pitch. She said nothing in response to that. No I'm sorry, nothing, just made my appointment for the install, which was Interesting because the other guy tried to tell me that humidifier wouldn't work on our furnace. Anyways, the install was about a week later. They told me it would take a couple hours so I made the appointment for 10:00 AM knowing I had to leave the house around 1:15 PM for another appointment. 10:00 came and went and nobody showed up. At about 10:45 I finally called their office to ask what the deal was. They just said they didn't know and would try to call the service guy and call me back. They never did call back. I called them back around 11:00 and they said they spoke with him and he was running behind and would be here shortly. OK, thanks for the call back. Anyways, he did show up around 11:15. It was different guy than their "sales" guy. He seemed nice and I explained to him I had to leave in 2 hours. He got to work right away and finished the work in the two hours. He then explained to me what he did and how everything worked. Despite all the bad experiences with this company at that point, and this guy being late, he seemed to have done a good job and was professional. Well, unfortunately, unrelated to them, we had a problem with our furnace in March, a few months later. We called a different company to come out and look at it. A company we had used before for our AC who are great by the way. Well, interestingly enough they came out and fixed the problem with our furnace but while they were here noticed there was water leaking around the furnace. He said one of the nozzles on the humidifier had been over tightened and the temperature probe was installed in the wrong spot. He fixed this for us free of charge (the other company) and said we should notice a difference in how well it works now. That just solidified what I thought about All weather heating and cooling. How unfortunate that they would use Angies list as a place to try to just make upsells instead of lasting customers. I trusted them specifically because they were on here and got terrible service all around. I would not recommend and can only think the people who "think" they got good customer service from them may have just been "taken to the cleaners" and don't realize it. Sad.

1. When a client purchases a humidifier from Angieslist we schedule an appointment for a technician or comfort advisor to observe the job, to insure that the product will fit, and to advise the customer if the product will have the expected end result. With the option of large and small bypass humidifier through this promotion we are able to have the results that we expect. A large home requires the large model and in many cases the small was purchased, we then advise the client on the best solution to obtain the results that they expect. Imagine the opposite, we install the unit that is to small and it doesn't perform to the client expectations, we then have another complaint that should have been resolved before the project started. 2. The humidifier models that were offered are obtained through Carrier Corporation, and are new high quality products. The standard bypass models do not require electrical, if a bypass will not work or fit, we have additional upgrade options, both (1) Powered and (2) Steam and both rquire an electrical circuit. 3. Pricing, yes you can buy a bypass humidifier for somewhere around $200, now you have a box of pieces that must be installed. I am sure that most that work for a living, know that you can't provide products at cost or you will be out of business. 4. Scheduled appointments are booked in two hour widows, we can guarantee an arrival time on the first appointment of the day, we do not know how long each call will take before we arrive. If the first call runs a little long we still have the two hour buffer to get to the next call. If you can suggest a better way, we are open to suggestions. 5. Repair issue, if we would have been informed about the warranty issue, we would have addressed the concern, no question, we are available 24/7. Note: The confort Adviser that was at the source of this issue is no longer employed by All Weather Heating and Cooling.

The owner, Robert, was able to come out the day that I called (which happened to be a Saturday) to take a look at our furnace that wouldn't turn on. He was extremely professional and polite, explained to both my husband and I what was wrong with the furnace, and gave us a few options for a replacement. That following Monday, an employee came to install our new furnace, and later Robert himself came as well. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Initially, an appointment was made for them to come out and look at our furnace that was out. After that appointment, we had a new furnace installed a few days alter.

I bought a coupon for a whole house humidifier. I have a small house so I thought the small house price would do the job. At the visit I found out that I was just a few more square feet than the "small house" humidifier would handle. So I was disappointed that I had to pay an extra $120 for a large house humidifier. Then, although it was initially offered as being part of the humidifier installation, I had to ask to replace my old dirty drainage tube with a new one. Now that I have the humidifier, it is working well and I am glad I have it.

The technician, Robert, was professional and knowledgeable throughout the visit. -He called 10 minutes before arriving at 8:00am to make sure I was not surprised by the doorbell. -He was completely ready to enter the house and work before ringing the doorbell, including all tools, ladder and even "booties" over his shoes to prevent tracking anything on the floor. -He was very careful not to let his 8-foot ladder hit anything while taking it to the attic access panel. -He cleaned up the area when leaving, including vacuuming where the attic insulation fell. Robert was friendly and informative. He was ready and able to teach me about furnaces, air conditioners and HVAC in general. Also, he did not push for sales of system modifications or upgrades. When asked, he explained the pros/cons of my system and how it affects my home heating & cooling in terms of temperatures, air flow and cost. When not asked, he simply completed his work. Robert completed a work checklist and explained all the results at the end, including his recommendations. In my case, he identified a capacitor out of specification that could lead to blower motor failure. Replacing the capacitor is much cheaper than replacing the blower motor, so this is a great example of cost savings through preventive maintenance. Based on this visit, I am _very_ pleased with All Weather Heating and Cooling. It is highly likely I will do business with them again.
