Simon was easy to get a hold of and we were initially impressed by his attitude... he understood the context of our home and seemed to take his work seriously - more of an artistic expression than just get it up and get it done. Although he was about an hour late to our first consultation (but he did call), the price was right and we liked him, so decided to go with him over some other groups. Work was scheduled quickly and completed in about 3 days, mostly by Simon's partner Angel. Both men were very professional and we were very happy with how tidy and respectful they were. When the work was completed, however, we weren't happy with the color and size of the caulk joints - too large and too dark. There were also one or two small tiles that didn't line up quite right. We told Simon our concerns, and he was very responsive. He took $30 off for the tiles, and returned himself with Angel on a Saturday to fix the caulk issue - no questions asked. He worked hard to hear our concerns and address them, and we ended up very happy with the result. We would definitely use Simon again - while he is a small shop, he stands by his work and seems to really care about making his customers happy.

Tile by Simon did a fantastic job on our kitchen floor. We did the demo work but his team prepped the floor and did an amazing job on the install. He and his guys we very professional, great communication throughout the process and they even did a great clean up job afterwards! As we are finalizing our kitchen remodel we will start on our master bath and will be using Tile by Simon for that project also!

I (and more importantly, my bride) was very pleased with the work done by Tile by Simon.The reason we approached them was due to significant water issues in our baths. Simon was very thorough in insuring we addressed these issues. They were able to complete the entire project in a timely fashion. I would recommend them for any tile projects.

I am very happy with the quality of the job Simon and their crew did. Simon picked up the tile I bought from Floor and Decor He repaired water damage to the kitchen floor before the tile was installed. The late decision to replace a double handle valve with a single handle valve and install shower faucet slide bars in both bathrooms required more plumbing than I originally thought was needed; Simon and their crew was able to deal with the delayed plumbing installation and complete the job in a timely manner. I would use Simon again for installing porcelain tile anytime.

I contacted 4 companies for an estimate: J&G Tile (left msg never got a call back), The Tile Man (too busy couldn't do job until 6 weeks later), Quality Home Improvement (exchanged numerous calls, made appointments then had to reschedule several times, finally just cancelled). I also got an estimate from the team that installed the countertops. The first time I contacted Tile by Simon, Randall Simon was not only very professional but was quick to set up a free in home estimate. He brought pictures of his previous clients, gave us ideas and suggestions on what would look good and match the countertops. He emailed the estimate within 48 hrs and began the work 5 days later. The install team (Lee and Allison) were on time, took care to cover our hardwood floors and new countertops, were courteous, and very skilled in their work. We had a large area to cover and they completed the tile work in a single day and came back the next day to grout and caulk. They completely cleanned up after the work, took time to explain how to care for it and didn't leave until all our questions were answered. We are very pleased with the work and I highly recommend Tile by Simon for any tile work you have.

He was great about getting in touch with me initially, and based on what I saw on Angie's List, his price would have been competitive. However, punctuality was not good. He called at the last minute to reschedule our first appointment then was 3 hours late to the rescheduled appointment, and I had to call him to verify if he was even coming. I had a tight timeline, and I communicated that on 3-4 separate occasions by email and phone to ensure we weren't wasting each other's time. I had other contractors pending this final quote, and the delays almost cost me the job. When he finally completed the estimate and called, he said that it would not fit their schedule after all. I was left with having to scramble to get on someone else's calendar. I might give him a second chance, but overall I was pretty disappointed, particularly considering prior reviews on Angie's List.

Prices were reasonable; came when he said he was going to come; able to schedule our job fairly quickly. Quality of work was good.

They arrived on time, and finished the job in a timely manner. They were clean and courteous. I was happy with how both jobs came out.

I got a bid to replace the outdated brick fireplace with stone or tile. It was outrageous and didn't event include the material! I found Simon on AL and called him. He responded immediately, came out and gave me a bid right away. I was ectastic about the bid and immediately hired him. Wow!. Simon is great. He is professional, courteous, reliable and he and his employee Angle did a fabulous job! The fireplace was a project to update the house to put it on the market. My real estate agent said it looks like a $10,000 job and it was a fraction on the cost. They did a beautiful job! Check out the before and after photos. I hightly recommend Tile by Simon. Simon did a great job! He was very professional. All dates were met, he ordered the tile for us and installed while we were out of town. When the tile arrived there were some variations in the tile that were natural, but that I did not care for. I pointed them out to Simon and he did an excellent job using those tiles for cuts and removing the variations from the tile that was used. I have to admit, I was certainly picky and he was nothing but professional and understanding.

I liked that he had experience in using glass tile. He came to my house and showed me his portfolio of his past work. He gave me an estimate. He brought a crew big enough to have it done in one day. He is very accommodating. I thought that the price was reasonable. I felt comfortable doing business with him.

We have a year old home with carpeted bathrooms. We received 3 estimates for installing natural stone flooring in 2 bathrooms and installing a travertine back splash with glass tile inlaid. Tile by Simon had the best estimate by far. He also helped us with design elements and ideas. The first day of the job we discovered that our shower was leaking onto the floor and he repaired that for us, as well. His crew was courteous and hard-working and left the job site clean.
