+ -1 moreDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The Door Store does not stand by their warranty or provide customer service. We had a door installed last summer and experienced severe cracking in multiple spots of the door within 90 days and after several attempts to communicate with this company, they haven’t responded once. After spending $10k on this door, I am severely disappointed.

Our doors were installed over 2 months ago but they installed the handles very unevenly and need to fix the weather stripping - both of which they have acknowledged need to fixed. But they have been very unresponsive. We spent thousands of dollars on these doors and are very unhappy with the unfinished work. They admitted they are understaffed and do not have people to do the work. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, their service is too unreliable for such an expensive purchase. Go with a company that can deliver. I wish we had.

+ -1 moreI went back to the store when my handyman had trouble installing the doors I purchased at the Door Store. I'd hoped for a win-win resolution. Instead, two salesmen and the owner barraged me with constant interruptions, loud voices, hostility, intimidation, defensiveness, blaming, inflexibility, arrogance, smirking, and a whopping unsatisfactory resolution-- as in, no resolution. It was a scene like I've never seen in my life. I would recommend potential customers hire the Door Store's crew instead of a handyman to install your doors. That might avoid the volatile confrontation I ran into. Or maybe, as other reviews have indicated, maybe this is how they treat their customers.

+ -1 moreHEED THE WARNINGS OF THE REVIEWS! Not sure how a company with a proven track record of failed customer experiences (2.5 stars out of 51 on yelp, at the time of this review, 05/19/2020) is still in business. My experience was much like that of the warnings I ignored - failed finishes and warped wood doors, non-responsiveness to customer correspondence, failure to stand behind their product and craftsmanship, denial of warranty, blatantly rude (owner, Tom). See images taken within a few months after install. Tom does not understand the need to take a pragmatic approach to running his business. Reviews are a clear indication, and writing on the wall... I can only guess it is a matter of time until his poor attitude leads to the demise of the business.

+ -1 moreI was amazed at how good this turned out. I was a little nervous of using them because of a couple of negative reviews I read, but I decided to use them anyway. I called their number and talked to a gentleman, told him the style of doors I needed, said I wanted them to match the other doors in my house. So I snapped about 10 pictures of where I want the doors placed, the other doors in my house to match, etc. and he said that he can get those doors and gave me a price that was very reasonable. They said the doors should be in on a thursday, which they were, they had someone come out the same day and installed them beautifully. Amazing. On time, good price, exactly matched my other doors. Took only 15 minutes of my life. What else can you ask for! I will use them again if I ever need doors.
Description of Work: Installed a french door, and a two panel closet door. Both solid wood.

Description of Work: The door itself is nice and I appreciated that the owner, Tom, came out and did a customized measurement to make sure the door would fit. We did all of the staining ourselves because they charged so much. What gives them an F is the final product after installation. The door looks good, but they damaged our newly re-done hardwood floors and left the entire first floor of our house covered in dust and footprints. Unfortunately I had to greet them and run out the door to take a dog to the emergency room. They did not call to tell me of the damage that they had done. I called to complain and the owner, Tom called me back within a day (good), but was inconsiderate edging on rude. He took $37 from our deposit but was more concerned about getting my credit card information than listening to the complaint and taking it seriously. If I were a business owner I would have gone out to assess the damage and come up with a more appropriate amount to take off of the price OR offer to fix it. The fact that he was rude and inconsiderate means I will never use them again and will encourage others to avoid working with them as well.

+ -1 moreOverall experience was very dissapointing! This Company and their employees do not value customers. The employees at this Company were more interested in talking to each other, texting and eating we were lucky to get a hello. They seemed bothered by our presence. We also looked at many display doors in show room and they seemed like seconds all seemed to be damaged although when we asked about some cracks etc... that we saw in doors they assured us there was nothing wrong. We knew we were looking at sub-par doors and didnt appreciate being lied to. We left and will not return but will be sure to tell anyone who asks about the negative experience we had.
Description of Work: We went to this establishment looking for a front door. Employees were very disinterested in helping in any way,seemed bothered that we had walked in and wanted to give them our money.We had to track them down throughout office to ask questions again they seemed bothered our presence.They did not seem very knowledgeable but hard to tell it appeared they just wanted to take your money and show you the door.Both men in showroom seemed sleazy and not trustworthly.We left in the hopes of finding a place where our money and business would be appreciated. We found another door store not far away called probuild, we happiy had a complete opposite experience.(we purchased a house full of doors through them.)I would avoid The Door Store, dont waste your time only to be confused and frustrated. I have since found several sites with reviews on this company including the city search site and the reviews are terrible. I guess it wasnt just us. My advise,spend your money where it is appreciated,you work hard for it! They do not work hard for their's
