Glen A. Morrison, the owner talks a good game, but his follow through is poor. Incredibly poor attention to detail. Very unprofessional, misrepresented the extent of prep work, sloppy workmanship on the caulking and touch up of problem areas, lots of areas with peeling paint that were not prepped properly, poor clean up. They painted over a lot of spider webs and debris that should have been removed when they washed the house, but they did a sloppy job on that task as well. Glen A. Morrison, the owner, was dismissive and ignored many of my concerns about the quality of the work. Overall, a bad experience. Now I know what the “A” stands for.

The painters were professional, thorough, helpful, and careful, and the paint job was lovely. Unfortunately, the paint color was wrong (it did not match the color we already had on the walls, which was what we wanted). By the time we realized that the paint color was wrong (after the first round of painting was dry), it was too late in terms of schedule and too potentially costly to fix. The owner's response was evasive and dishonest. He came by, took a quick look, and asserted that the match wasn't 'bad,' as if an almost-match existed when it came to paint color. We went back and forth about this while the painters continued working, just as we went back and forth about the final invoice, which included an extra charge for additional painting (we decided to pay the invoice so that we could be done with this compainy). So for anyone considering Teaberry for painting, keep this in mind: do not believe anyone who asserts that the paint color on your wall can be matched, don't assume one coat of paint will be sufficient, don't expect the person doing the estimate to be expert about paint color (look to the painters for that), and always, always get a quart of paint in advance so that you know for sure that the paint you have ordered is the color you expected. I've long thought that a company shows its true colors in adversity. It's easy to look good when nothing goes wrong but much harder to do so when something does. The owner of this company, in our experience, showed himself to be lacking integrity. Please know that our newly painted house looks wonderful in an objective sort of way; it just isn't what we wanted.

When they painted the exterior they left many drips and splatters on the cement walks surrounding the house. I also found where they had spilled perhaps a pint of paint in a flower bed and covered it with soil to hide it. They left large chunks of spackling and other debris around the house. As they were finishing the work I had to point out mistakes that were made and places that were not painted. They corrected the mistakes but failed to paint all of the places that were missed. I had to climb up on a rickety ladder and paint it myself after they had left.When they painted the interior they failed to paint two door jambs and I had to do that myself. I also had to touch up places where they did not apply enough paint to cover the underlying coat. I spent 2 hours finishing the job for them.The painting crew was largely unsupervised. Given the results maybe they should have been watched more closely. They did not do a professional job.I was disappointed with their work and was expecting something better after talking with Glenn and seeing the reviews. I regret having hired Teaberry to paint my house.

Highly professional service for a good price. Glenn gave us a quick and accurate estimate on his first visit. He even threw in some extras that my wife was looking for but was not part of the quote.

Teaberry is an exceptional vendor. Very prompt and professional response for quotes. Crew arrived and finished on time and left no trace behind. Painting quality is extremely good. I've had this vendor also do interior work with the same great service. Price was slightly higher than others, but the quality is so great it was worth a few extra dollars to ensure the job was done right, on time and without any hassle. Would definitely recommend.

It turned out excellent. I have used him twice before this time. I am also using him next week for interior painting.

Glen was very good at returning calls when I was interested in getting an estimate. Very prompt at coming out and giving an estimate. All very professional and friendly. I joined Angie's List so I could read reviews about this company. The reviews I read gave the company an A and said the work was very good. After I signed the contract and submitted my deposit everything really slowed down. I wanted to match the existing color of the house. I was requested to take my old paint and go to their paint retailer and see if it could be matched. When I had the house painted 7 years earlier the paint contractor took the paint to their retailer and did the color match as part of the service so I was a bit taken back by this. I thought OK I can do that. The experience at the pain retailer was horrendous. Then I had to send the information 3 different times to Teaberry. As for the painters they were very good and did all that was requested of them. However, I would never have them varnish anything again. The front door and side lights needed to be revarnished and they came out worse then when started. Before starting they were very smooth and shinny with just a few areas of weathering at the bottom. Now the whole door is rough and has several dull spots plus there are several places that have bursh hairs in the varnish. I paid the bill in full and stated I was really disappointed in the varnish job. Not one follow-up call. My husband has his own business and if he would have received something like that he would have been calling the individual back to see what they could do to remedy the situation. So from the reviews I gues I had really high expectations and was very disappointed when I did not get the quality of service I was expecting.

The owner came to the house and provided an quick on-site estimate. Was very professional. When we confirmed that we wanted Teaberry to do the work, he returned with a 'project manager' to review the work and helped with paint color to match existing. On the first of day the job, the 2 painters that were to do the work arrived a little early which was frankly a bit awkward because we had not met and neither spoke fluent English. They wanted me to explain the work to them. The 'project manager' arrived a short time later and introduced us and reviewed the work with them. The manager nor the owner never returned to the job again which took a full 3 days. I believe this why some of the problems we had with the job happened. I think if the manager or owner had stopped in and checked on the work in progress, it would of been easier for me to communicate concerns and they might of recognized some things that needed to happen to prevent some problems that occurred later. The first day was spent masking, hanging plastic, etc. We have high ceilings and an open design in our home. I wish they had communicated at this point how the spraying would work and that it would be advisable to cover everything possible with plastic. I feel had the the project manager checked in at this point he would have recognized the situation and would have been able to communicate this to us. The next day the painters began the priming and then the spraying process. I was not at home when the spraying began, but returned home to realize that despite the plastic they had hung around, the over spray of dust was going EVERYWHERE through the house. I quickly grabbed some old sheets and started covering the TV/stereo etc. When they saw my panic they stopped and offered plastic sheeting and tried to help me cover furniture, kitchen cabinets, etc. Frankly, it was too late for most. There was a thick white layer of paint dust literally EVERYWHERE on EVERYTHING! I understand with work like this some mess is to be expected. I feel that had there been better communication and understanding of the scope of the job much of this could have been prevented. I been told that some paint companies use plastic covers with a zipper-like device that can enclose an area of work that can eliminate messes like this. There were nail holes in the doors I expected they would have filled and some other fine tuning I would liked to have seen. The other issue was that the work was estimated to take 2 days and it took 3 full days to complete. I didn't have a problem with this except that neither the owner or project manager bothered to call and note this to me. Actually I didn't hear again from the owner until days after I had received the invoice by email and he had called to verify that I had received the email. I like the overall job that was done despite some of fine tuning I mentioned before. It has been almost 2 months since this work was done and I'm still finding paint spray mess to clean. I believe better communication with clients would be a huge improvement for Teaberry Painting.

They charged me about $2300. I thought that their quote was really reasonable, so that was the first thing. It was fair for the quality of work. The owner of the company came to my house and talked to me. He explained how they do the things there. Their painters are all their employees and not subcontractors, so that appealed to me. In addition to that, there were some customer testimonials that he brought with him that were really compelling also. I really felt good about the guy. I think that makes a big difference. One gets a real feel for the person and his company. I was impressed, so I gave him a shot. I was very pleased with the results. He was very thorough. In fact, I have a friend who has been in the construction business doing home building and stuff. He observed how they do at work and how thorough they were with caulking and things like that. He was impressed also. I would definitely use them again in the future if needed.

Glen Morrison worked to my schedule, which was really needed by me and a chore for him.Work was done in the time agreed to, and the quality was excellent. I will use him again.

. I was happy with them. The owner of this company does not contract his staff out. He has employees. They were very courteous. They did a very good job. I have to others who have had painting taking a much less time for larger place. The result here looked very nice. I was impressed with them. They were willing to negotiate on their contract without any push back. The reason is that their contract has a deposit and I told the owner of the company that I did not want to do a deposit. But I want to pay in full on completion. He was willing to negotiate the contract terms. It did not change the price of the contract or anything like that. He explained why he likes to do that. But he understood why I did not want to do it. That was not a problem at all. I could have done it much cheaper. I would use them in the future.

We had used this company a few years ago to paint the exterior of our house. We were very pleased with ther service at that time. So, we contacted them again this spring when only the trim on our house needed to be repainted. The owner arrived right on time to give us an estimate and brought a couple of issues to our attention that we had not noticed. On the day of the painting job, there were 2 workers that arrived. They were both pleasant and tidy. After the job was finished they insisted I walk with them all around the house to ensure I was pelased - and I was.

The flyer claimed to employ only company employees, no sub-contractors. As is becoming all too frequent, the owner showed up to give us the estimate and then when the workers showed up, it was two men who couldn't speak English. It was impossible to communicate any specifics to them or to ask them to clean up some painting mistakes. When I spoke with the owner the next day and asked him if he used illegal workers, he told me that they paid taxes but the issue was immaterial and that what mattered was the quality of the work. Well, it is VERY material to me as Americans can no longer practice their trades, such as painting, roofing, drywalling, etc. It seems that the owners are just fronts for illegal labor. And the quality of work was awful to boot. They left paint on the bathroom tiles, the carpet and left a jagged line of paint between the celing and walls. They also scratched the shower stall glass somehow.
