TAKE ME 4 GRANITE

1. When they came by to measure I was told they would be at my home by 830 am for a 6 hour job. I.had contracted with a plumber to reconnect the sink at 4 pm. I also took the day off, using vacation time. Two days before installation I was told 1030am. By 1230 I called to find out where they were. They didn't arrive until 2 pm. By then they were trying to cram a 6 hr job into 4 hours so they could leave to start their weekend. 2. they were messy, leaving dust and dirt in all my top drawers. I had to wash all the utensils and the drawers themselves. 3. The caulk line was done hurriedly and sloppily. I had to hire someone to do it over. 4. They left a 32 inch scratch in the granite 5. They left some time of compound all over my new sink which would not come off with soap and water After the mess they left, the long scratch, the crud on the sink, and the mess they left, I canceled the last check, withholding the payment until the scratch and sink were dealt with. I called the owner, Augusto, and explained my reasoning for withholding the last payment.. He went absolutely ballistic with me over the phone, at one point hanging up stating he had to "go outside and scream." When he called back, he stated he would send someone by to deal with the issues. When I insisted his worker come on Saturday so I would not miss more work, he again became unglued. This was such a pleasant experience. Both Denise and Maria helped us pick out the perfect granite for our new kitchen and gave us a better price than we were seeing elsewhere. We had just purchased a condo within a highrise in Capitol Hill and had begun a complete renovation where timeframes and budget were tight, and HOA required deliveries through basement garage. When our general contract got behind in schedule, the folks at Take Me For Granite were quick and cheerful to make adjustments on delivery/installation. They also allowed us to choose what parts of the granite would be used in various parts of the kitchen! AND they even invited us to watch them cut the granite which my husband Ron gratefully accepted. This truly was fun for him and he came away from that truly impressed with the level of expertise of all workers. This is a large family owned and run operation, which is very efficient. We'd not met or heard about this company before this work, and yet we will gladly look for opportunities to use their services in the future. They arrived promptly the day of installation and took great care in the details of the installation. There was an obvious pride in their work, including the owner Agustin personally involved at key points. They exceeded our expectations and we're very happy.

came out several times to make sure they had the right measurements. They guided us to the best source to pick out the perfect piece of granite. They were very upfront about trying to get the smallest amount of granite to do the job and great about finding a small piece of the same lot to save us money. They did a beautiful and thorough job with the install. Be really clear with your communication though- they were 5 hours late for the install and thought someone had already called me. They do not put plumbing back together, so make sure you have someone set up to come and do that for you.

It started well. We were able to go to the office and pick out a granite slab. We got a good initial price. However, the price went up after we had to modify the original template. They failed to show up a couple times at the designated appointment time. I had to end up doing much of the work myself such as moving electrical outlets, gas pipes and vent and the company offered no information or referrals to help with this. When they installed the slab they damaged my wood floors and did not offer to repair them.
