We have a three car garage in our house in Castle Rock that had really bad oil stains on the concrete floor. I had epoxy painted our garage floor in Franktown over 20 years ago by muriatic acid washing the floor first and it lasted in excess of 20 years. When I saw the large oil stains on this garage floor I knew it was beyond my abilities to properly prep the floor so I hired Specialty Poxy Coatings. I worked with Scott and he was easy to talk to and ask questions. He had valuable suggestions on what I could do before they arrived to do the floor - this saved me a few $$. We are extremely pleased with the job that Specialty Poxy Coatings did on our garage floor. I highly recommend them to do your garage floor.

Great job. Professional. They pay attention to details. On time, good communication, easy to work with. Lifetime guarantee. New floor requires almost no maintenance--just sweep and hose down as little or as often as you want. Salt and ice don't bother it. Expensive, but if you're going to invest in a nice garage floor, do it right--let these guys do it. You'll be in good hands.

Jonathan and his crew showed up on time and finished on schedule. They did an incredible job, I couldn't be happier. I was going to have the floor replaced, but with the cost of concrete and labor the coating made more sense. If you are researching Epoxy coating installers you may already be passed the "DIY or outsource decision". If there's any lingering doubt let me help you clear that up: don't bother with the DIY epoxy kits from the big hardware stores. Results are mediocre at best (read the reviews) and the kits often skimp on chips and other materials. Costs will be lower, sure - but it's it's comparing apples to oranges. Scott and Jonathan's is a 2-day process: day 1 is preparation (repairing cracks and removing dirt and grime using a diamond grinder). Then the base epoxy is applied and an insane amount of decorative chips are spread out across the floor. Day two is sanding and scraping off all excess chips and applying two coats of polyaspartic. Done. Scott and Jonathan were a pleasure to work with. I requested and got a quick estimate and was able to schedule the work within 2 weeks. Scott came out himself with Juan, explained the process and went to work. The floor came out great (see pictures). One of the reasons I chose Specialty Poxy Coatings is that they specialize in concrete floor restoration and enhancement - it's what they do all day every day. In addition, the floor comes with a lifetime warranty. Most painters will quote you a price for epoxy installation, but you won't necessarily know when the last time was they did that work, nor what the results were.

This company was great! We bought an older home which had a dirty and stained concrete floor in the garage. Jonothan and Scott did a wonderful job. We moved from out of state so all the arrangements were done online. They showed up promptly and got right to work cleaning and preparing the floor. It was a 2 day process but was done exactly in the timeline they had told us. They were professional and courteous. They explained how to clean it before they left. The floor looks so good. We will definitely use them again if we buy another house.

This is a father/son team, both are very service oriented. Scott (Father) came out to do the estimate, he showed up on-time and provided the estimate on the spot. We scheduled the work to be completed a few weeks later. Scott showed-up the first day, again exactly as scheduled, to prep the surface and apply the epoxy. Jonathan (son) showed-up the next day, exactly as scheduled, to apply the clear seal coat. The floor looks awesome! These guys are great to work with, reliable and reasonably priced. If you are looking to have this type of work done, there is no need to look any further if you can get these guys to do the work. FYI this was the first time I had met Scott and Jonathan so this is a completely unbiased review from an actual satisfied customer.

Scott fit me into his schedule on relatively short notice and arrived on schedule. He was great to work with, very responsive and forthright. A lot of research convinced me theirs was the process I wanted. They used commercial grade California EPA certified materials. All my questions were answered. The price was highly competitive, and our 3 bay garage and workshop came out absolutely great! Highly recommend.

From beginning to end my experience with Specialty Poxy Coatings was perfect. Jonathan immediately impressed me with his professionalism and organization. I was also impressed with his thoroughness, both in our introductory call and on our first meeting in person. As promised, he emailed me an estimate within hours of his in-person assessment. When I followed up with a couple of questions via email, he replied promptly and thoroughly. He sent text message confirmations prior to all of our in-person interactions and was precisely on time for all appointments. The installation went exactly as described and Jonathan asked for my input and thoroughly explained my options where there were decisions to be made. Now that the floor is in, it looks absolutely perfect down to the last detail. I couldn't have asked for anything more out of this experience.

Applied epoxy sealer and textured chips to my garage floor and stem walls.

I received a call back within a couple of hours and was told that using epoxy on a wood subfloor was not recommended. I asked why not and he explained in great detail how it worked and what issues (chipping) we might have with the wood seams and with the texture of the plywood and the fact that it bounced. He was concerned we would spend a lot of money and not be happy with the result for very long. I was very grateful for the information and the time he spent with me on the phone, particularly since I had someone from another company scheduled to come out to my house give me a bid on doing the same thing. Now I know what questions to ask them to see if they know what they are doing, and may very likely consider going a different direction with our basement floor or doing it myself, where I won't spend a lot and will have only myself to blame for the results.

From the first time Scott came to our Castle Rock home, he was extremely professional, friendly and beat everyone's prices. We were anxious to get the job started and so Scott and his crew (Jonathan and Juan) offered to start the job over Labor Day weekend- how wonderful! I met with the owner, Scott, the day after reaching the company by phone, so their punctuality was impressive from the kickoff. I did receive a competing bid from another Angie's listed company for this same product, but Scott's pricing was superior plus the other firm wouldn't have been able to place me on their schedule for possibly several weeks. Scott scheduled the 2-day job to commence on a date that work with my calendar and he and Juan spent the first day grinding the old floor to prep it, applied the epoxy and then broadcast the colored chips. The following day Scott's son, Jonathan, along with Juan scraped the coating of chips, vac'd the excess and then applied 2 top coats of sealer. The finished product is as terrific as we had envisioned in our minds and totally transformed the look and feel of our garage. Even our neighbors are impressed. I really like working with family operated small businesses and to have the father and son both actually work onsite was reassuring the job would be done right the first time. Specialty Poxy Coatings are total professionals and certainly care about delivering a quality end result coupled with personable personal service.
