Sears Appliance Repair

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with any company, ever. My dishwasher broke at the beginning of November. We had a service repair call the day before Thanksgiving . It is now January 29th and I still do not have a working dishwasher. Their call center is terrible. Every phone call takes a minimum of one hour to speak to a person, sometimes longer. I have called at least 20 times over the past 2 months. They say they will call you back and never do. Their chat service is worthless and they do not have an email to use. It is impossible to speak to someone who can help. Everyone in this organization is completely unreliable, unhelpful and ignorant of any type of customer service. Do not use this service!

Had appointment 10/26/2020 they rescheduled because the tech didn't show up for work. Changed appointment to 11/12/2020 they had the wrong address per the caller center after there was no call from tech to confirm address if he couldn't find it. Rescheduled for 12/2/2020 sat in front of rental property and waited 2 hours just to receive a text that the tech showed up and tried to call no answer and no answer at door. I personally was sitting in front of the house in my truck waiting, there is no way they came by. I will never call sears again or use their stores.

I made an appointment and they gave me a 4 hour window. I took the day off from work to meet them. The technician did not arrive within the 4 hour window. They called me to reschedule and the soonest they could accommodate me was two weeks later. Complete waste of time and no respect for their customers.

Paid $200to have this"known problem" with the 1 year old fridge repaired and it still doesn't work. Will have to call them to come back again with maybe a different tech? We shouldn't have gotten a Kenmore

I went perfect. now the freezer closes with a touch of a finger and we used to have to lift it up and shove!!!!

The technician arrive for the diagnostic appointment and said we needed a new seal to stop the leaking. We trusted his advice and went ahead with the replacement and paid for it. We ran the dishwasher the next day and it leaked again in the exact same spot. We immediately called to advise them of the incorrect diagnosis. Sears sent the same technician again. The tech said he made an incorrect diagnosis and said that the parts that needed to be replaced would total $400 plus. We said no to the repair. We have requested the initial amount be refunded to us minus the diagnostic fee but Sears is unwilling to do so. We can't even speak to a live person. When we did hear through email, each person was a new person and they are so confused about what happened. I recommend never to use Sears for repairs! We are out $209.00 on a dishwasher we are going to have to replace.

While the initial result was somewhat promising.... the repair ended up being a complete fail. Icemaker still does not work properly. The customer experience with the Sears web site and their call center leaves a great deal to be desired. Their systems / web site is clunky and their call center and associated processes are something out of the late 1980's. If you are looking for appliance repair - do yourself a favor... find another company to do the job.

Jacob was on time and he was very professional. He located the problem quickly, found a replacement burner in Fort Collins and the repairs were made in short order. I will use Sears service again when I need help.

Very Well. Man was professional, a gentleman and kind.

It was freezing food in the refrigerator and the water line was frozen. He never thawed the water line and now it is not cooling. I called to have them come back, he did not have the part on his truck, but there was one in Denver. He stated the soonest they could get the part from Denver (58 miles away) was next week. I am a former sears employee and I never experienced such poor service. I can see why Sears is going out of business. It was $89.00 for the repairman to just walk in the door.

Repairs completed to Kenmore Elite double oven, which has been working fine since the repair.

The maintenance repair man was professional and thorough.

It is not fixed. He did not even try to see if it was anything other than the burner. Like perhaps the thermostat going bad. But the ultimate happened. Turkey in the oven the stove runs for an hour or so and the temperature starts to drop.

Very painless. Tech was very professional and completed the work in a timely manner.

Dimitri was wonderful. He knows his "stuff" and was very informative and helpful in my decision as to what my next steps were. Need a new dishwasher-- to replace the door would cost over $600--ridiculous when a new DW costs the same or only a bit more.

I don't know. I've not had time to call the repair service to have them back out even though the machine is still failing to spin dry about 50%-75% of the time. We'll see how well they honor their service agreement.

The service tech was TWO hours late...past the four hour window I was give. No updates were ever given nor coounication that they would be late. When they arrived no comment or anything was made about the, being late. He literally broke the filter and jammed the pieces out, no professional and then he proceeded to have me do a closing survey with him present so I couldn't comment on any issue and it took him five minutes to break the filter and remove it...and I was charged what was an u fair price for no work or time....

I have a warranty program with Sears for all of my appliances. There was no cost for the freezer repair because it was part of the warranty that I pay. I pay $100 every time they come out to do something, but if they can't fix it, they replace it. The quality of the service was excellent and their professionalism was good; it was A.

The gentleman was outstanding and told me what I needed to order on line and how to install it myself. Saved me a ton of money.

Not well at all. Tech said he checked our stove and it was working. He said I needed an electrician. But he charged me a service call even though he couldn't fix my problem. It might have been a communication problem with the dispatcher, but overall a very disappointing event. We called another repair company who fixed the problem which was so simple they didn't charge us.

It was a very easy and smooth process. I couldn't be happier! The new dishwasher is so quiet and very efficient! Kenmore Elite! You can't do better!

It took 3 1/2 weeks to fix a washing machine. On top of that, the sales person in charge of the Sears warranty program unethically sold me a membership. When I asked if I could cancel at any time with no penalties, I was told yes. Later, when I went to cancel, I was told that I was on the hook for any expenses incurred for repairs, unless I stayed in the program for a year. None of this had been communicated to me. They had incorrect information for me in the system, so they sent the repair parts to the wrong address. Scheduling an appointment typically took 4-5 days. One repairman was pleasant, the other was unhappy and difficult. Unfortunately, this seems to be indicative of a once proud company that is clearly circling the drain on its way down.

He gave me a discount for the filter. He did a good job.

Did not show up twice for repair appointment.

The service provider was immature and worthless. He told me he had been doing the job for 12 years so he knew what he was doing. He was inside my house for all of 3 minutes total. When I gave him the parts he only used one. He didn't explain why he didn't need all the parts when I asked. I was never given any paper work so I have no idea what his name is.
