We had a very, very bad experience with this firm. They are unreliable and more than happy to string you along and waste your time. Completely unprofessional. Our real estate agent hired this firm to provide an estimate for work on Rinnai water heater prior to purchase of a home. Post purchase, however, when we called to actually have the work done, we ran into a lot of problems. When we initially called, the owner was in California and told us he would call back when he returned the following Sunday to schedule work the following week. He never called. We emailed and called several times over the course of a couple of weeks with no luck. Finally, we managed to get them on the phone, but they weren't remotely apologetic that they'd not called us back and that we were now a couple of weeks past when the work was originally supposed to be finished. We rescheduled the work, but they cancelled again 48 hours before they were supposed to show up, allegedly because the parts had not come in. I'd set aside time in the middle of the day to be home, so this was not okay. We then tried to schedule again, but they blew us off stating that they would contact us when the parts were in, which they'd allegedly ordered. I tried three more times to get an estimate from them as to when the parts would be in, but of course they never contacted us. We suspect that they screwed up on the estimate. It was about $500 less than elsewhere and we assume that they realized this and figured that if they were unresponsive schmucks about it we'd go away. Which we did, and which we would suggest everyone else do. Avoid this business, they're unreliable and unprofessional.
Description of Work: The provider failed to do the work they said they would do and strung us along for weeks saying they would do it.

When we were ready to replace our hot water heater, we knew we wanted a tankless Rinnai system similar to what we had in our previous home in another area of the country. We did EXTENSIVE research and interviewed several companies. What impressed us about Ken was not only his extensive experience in this area, but also his committment to continue his education about tankless water heaters (when we originally reached out to him, he was at a conference). A couple months after installing our system, the water wasn't hot enough for our preference, so we gave him a call and he made the necessary adjustments - no questions asked. He also includes the 12-month flush when installing a new system - so there's no maintenance for two years. Fast forward two years and we are now moving. When the buyer's inspector came, he identified a minor issue and asked us to have the city inspect it again. Well, Ken stood by his work and made the modifications we needed, which is allowing us to proceed with our sale. It is rare to find a contractor like Ken and we will certainly be calling him when we are ready to upgrade to a Rinnai in our new home! Thank you Ken!!!
Description of Work: In September, 2011, we installed a tankless hot water heater with a 10-gallon gas-fired tank to feed our current recirculating system (which brings hot water from the upstairs to the basement within 15 seconds). We are now selling our home and had to have some minor modifications made per the inspector. Ken stood by his work and did what needed to be done to make it right at no cost to us. Our home sale can now go through!

They were there on time and quick to replace my broken water heater. There was one of the pipes had a small drip. It was a challenge to get them back out and it took some time. They eventually came back out and was able to fix it. They are going to do a complimentary cleaning and show me how to clean it myself

Although the install was scheduled at least 5 times, Mr. Sacry either failed to appear at the scheduled time or did not have the correct furnace when he did appear. On October 31, 2010 I sent Mr. Sacry a letter demanding return of the $1,950. He did not return the money and I filed a small claims suit against him. On February 22, 2011, Mr. Sacry confessed judgment in the amount of $2,045 which included a service of process fee and filing fee. He agreed to pay $500 by February 25, 2011 and $500 every two weeks after that until paid in full. I agreed to charge no interest if he paid as he agreed. He did not make any of these payments I sent him interrogatories (written questions) pursuant to a court order when he did not pay. He did not answer these interrogatories and was required to appear in Court on August 4, 2011. He paid $300 at his Court appearance, answered some questions and agreed to provide certain documents and names and addresses of customers on whose jobs he was working. He has never provided any of the items he agreed to provide and has made no further payment. He owed a balance of $1,923.49 as of December 31, 2011. He owes substantially more that that now because of accrued interest. No service was ever performed, but was to be performed at my home.
Description of Work: On September 22, 2010 Kenneth Sacry d/b/a Sacry Heating and Air agreed to install a new furnace and humidifier at my home. At that time he was paid $1,950 as half of the amount due with the balance to be paid upon completion.

We purchased the furnace from Ken. The furnace and air conditioner needed to both be disconnected and then reconnected when the new furnace was put in place. Ken "installed" the furnace over the course of two weeks but never hooked it up. He did hook up the air conditioner after several calls to him (it was June and became hot). We had to call him back in September to hook up the furnace when it started to get colder at night. The brand new furnace that we purchased worked on and off, and we had to call him several times to come out and fix it within the first few months. We had him come out seven times total with different problems. Then there was a period of five months where it seemed to work fine. However, after that period, we noticed a gas smell coming from the furnace. It got so bad that we called Excel and they came (the day before a snowstorm) and red tagged the furnace, telling us it was unfit and improperly installed. Turns out Ken never pulled any permits for the job, if he had, the inspector would have noticed the plumbing piping he used for our furnace, the inadequate intake, the improper venting, and the old gas line that he never replaced but should have. (We were new to home ownership and didn't know permits needed to be pulled or anything about HVAC). Additionally, the furnace that he sold us was not compatible with the existing air conditioner (which is why it took him so long to actually "install" them). The condensation from the air conditioner leaked water into the electrical panel of the new furnace which had a gas leak. The excel tech told us that we were lucky there was never an explosion. We ended up having to have another company come out and install ANOTHER new furnace because the one we purchased from Ken (which was only a year old) could not be saved. Also, because the furnace was installed to the air conditioner and they were not compatible, the air conditioner was also ruined and we had to replace that too. In total we spent over $13,000 for the initial furnace, the replacement furnace, and the new air conditioner. We are also spending more money and many hours on legal fees and time in court. We have taken the issue to small claims court and the Better Business Bureau. We have been awarded a judgment in our favor by Jefferson County. Ken did not show up in court and when we contacted him to let him know about the judgment and requirement to pay, he has made several appointments to come "settle up" and never shows.
Description of Work: We hired Ken with Sacry Heating and Air to install a new furnace when we purchased our home.

Description of Work: The best overall contractor I have ever used. True integrity and a real competent professional. Between him and his son they can do your heating, air and plumbing and you will be impressed. Very honest and build their business on referrals. I built a home with Ken and would do it again.
