ROSS TREE CO

We've used them for years. We then wound up dealing with a sales guy who wouldn't give us the information that we requested. We're done with Ross.

We contracted with Ross to install a pine tree in our front yard. The price they quoted was more than twice another bid we had, but we went with Ross because we wanted the work done correctly, as we plan to live in this home for the next 20 years or more. We were relying on the company's reputation and professionalism. The tree was planted on time, but that was the extent of the professionalism. The crew that installed it chose to pick the one side of the tree with a big bald spot and orient that side to the street, where it will be most seen.Considering the price charged, I was appalled there even was a bald spot, but even more so that the "professionals" thought that the flawed side should be on display.When I contacted Ross about the problem, they initially said if I wasn't happy in one year they'd replace the tree, but then backed off on that promise. Mr. Ross contacted me and said there was no way his crew could have known which way I wanted the tree oriented (unless of course they had asked or used even a tiny bit of common sense) and offered me a whopping $50 discount for the problem, which I declined on principal. As I said, we plan to live here for the next 20 years, so that amounts to about $2 a month for having a crappy tree in our front yard rather than the beautiful one I thought we ordered and know we paid for.Buyer beware!

I have used them forever. They are really good and inexpensive. They're reasonable.

Mr. Ross came out within a day or 2 from the time I called to give an estimate. I was given a date for service 3 wks out but put on a waiting list to be called if someone canceled. Within a few days I was called & scheduled. The crew that came was efficient, did a great job - left no remnants of the trimming behind.
