Redfin Real Estate - Denver

Redfin and our agent Karla have been great. I love Redfin's business model in which it refunds some of the agent's commission in the form of a credit to the buyer. It removes the perverse incentive for a buyer's agent to try to keep the purchase price high since that results in a larger commission. I think most Redfin agents leave the task of identifying houses to tour to the buyer, which is not really a problem since it is so easy to find for-sale listings on the web now, including through Redfin's website. But our Agent Karla really went above and beyond. She took us to tour more houses than I can count, and never put any pressure on us to buy before we found the perfect house. She also took us on a second tour of two houses we had already seen when we were finally ready to make an offer and were having trouble deciding between the two. Karla put in an offer for us, but it was rejected. But Karla kept her ear to the ground and heard through the grapevine that one of those sellers hit some hard times -- we were able to put in another offer on the same house for only a tiny bit more, and it got accepted. Once we were under contract, Karla also took us on another tour of the house so we could show it off to relatives. Really, our realtor has been amazing.

It went extremely well. They were very price effective. They can save someone a lot of money.
