 + -1 moreThis was my lowest bid. The porch is crumbling on the top ...not where any snowmelt was used so let's get that straight. There are holes on the side of the porch and one can see the dirt which shows how thin the concrete is on the side of the porch. Other concrete contractors have been to my home & told me that the job just was not done right. Mr. Soto has made appointments with me and never showed up when I have asked him to look at the crumbling. Thank goodness I did not consent to have this company replace my driveway although the low bids were very tempting at the time.

Jesus and his team removed the old clay and brick patio, leveled the ground, and properly installed the new concrete. Jesus ensured we were able to get the color, type and stamp style that we desired. Jesus and his team completed the job on time at a great price and to our requested specifications. We are thrilled with the work he's done and we thoroughly enjoy our backyard now. Jesus is currently helping us to address a slick spot at the entry of the patio helping us ensure that our patio is both safe and comfortable. We definitely recommend Professional Concrete Works!!

 + -1 moreJesus Soto came to my home and looked at the problem with heaving in my garage and told me what it would take to fix the problem. We set an appointment, and he called to say he was available earlier if I wanted the work done earlier. I did and he showed up on time and finished the work while I was at work. When I returned home, they had completely cleaned up the old concrete and replaced it with a new garage floor! I could not ask for better results. He also gave me a discount on the work. I am recommending him to anyone who needs concrete work done. I had done a messy job trying to fix it myself and Jesus power washed away my mess. It looks awesome! I'm very grateful Jesus.

 + -1 moreThe work went as scheduled. It was planned as a 3 day job and he was done in 2. The walk and patio both look great. It is a big improvement to our property. I waited to write the review so I could see how the walk and patio held up to rain and snow. It still looks as good as it did when it was first completed.

 + -1 moreMr. Desoto was super nice and his workers didn’t leave a mess. I could say that they are great. I didn't know that they could pour the concrete in the winter, but they did and it has held up. They had to dig up the old cemete and put in the new. It was a big job. I have really have enjoyed my patio so far this summer.

 + 0 moreJesus was great to work with. Professional did amazing work on our driveway. Walked him through our ideas and Jesus was able to take it and run and turned it into the perfect design and shape. His crew showed up early and knocked out the job. Jesus always keeps you informed of their progress and scheduling as well. He also had very good recommendations for functionality that we had not thought about. They use very good materials as well and they do not cut corners like some other companies tend to do. Jesus is the owner and does the work as well, which to me is important and means he takes pride in his work and also expects the same from his crew. We are currently expanding another project with more driveway additions and a foundation that we will be using him for.
Description of Work: Had a circular driveway poured with stairs leading to the house as well as a slab for a hot tub. Poured concrete footers and a thick edge to serve as a retaining wall.

 + -1 moreThis May I noticed the top of the porch is crumbling. I have asked Mr. Soto to please come & look. He did not show up. I called a 2nd time and he did not show up for the 2nd appointment. Today my son left a message for Mr. Soto to please call & no call has been returned. Last summer I had noted holes along the bottom of the porch. Mr. Soto said that the holes were caused because I did not replace the driveway. I accepted his explanation but then a friend noted that not only were there the holes but you could see the dirt through the holes and the concrete was "paper thin". After paying $2800 dollars I would like to have the problems fixed. I am extremely disappointed in this company.

 + 1 moreSearched for concrete work on Angie's List. Chose three contractors based upon reviews, and interviewed two in person. Chose PC based upon comparable bid, the review, and comfort from face to face interview.
Description of Work: We have two, two car garages that are aligned at 90% to each other. The garages are served by a one two car driveway, about 60 feet long, with a third lane or parking lane that runs the final 20 feet. We hired Professional Concrete to replace the two car driveway, parking lane, and two garage floors. Driveway surface was failing and the garage floors had settled badly, particularly the one that aligned with a walk out back yard. We met with Jesus and he was terrific. The Bid was competitive with two others based on cost per square foot, but lower overall because Jesus suggested 1/2 of the second garage could be left as is. In addition to saving us money, this was very helpful in having somewhere to put things as they worked around things on the 1/2 left in place. We agreed on an advance schedule that allowed time to remove cars etc from the two garages, including cabinets, etc. The work began as agreed. Crew was punctual, worked very hard, and had all the tear out done within 1 1/2 days, and pouring was finished in 3 days from start. Rather than adding the normal expansion cuts or seams, Jesus suggested a series of paired seams that were very attractive. They also delivered some extra "road base" to address settling behind the garage, definitely above and beyond what was agreed. My only comment would be to insure you are very clear about how things will be finished. For the third lane I described above, PC curved the lane making it aesthetically more pleasing, but reducing the parking area for an extra car. I had wanted to make it larger and it ended up a little smaller. However, I think it was my failure to communicate effectively. The work has been done for 6 months and we have nothing but praise for a job well done.

 + 0 moreThe back patio space was large with multiple levels and steps. They removed the old flagstone and leveled the area with a slight slope for water drainage. The next day, they set the forms, poured the concreate and stamped. On the 3rd day they stained and made a nice X pattern on the patio. Jesus used a multi-colored stain to enhance the effects.
Description of Work: Jesus Soto, the owner,and his team were great to work with. They all were very professional and moved quickly to get a beautiful patio with stamped and stained concrete. It looks amazing! We are going to have him back again soon. Pamela

They did a great job of cleaning up the area after they had finished the job. The price quoted was emmintently fair. Mr. Soto broke up and removed the old concrete, formed and poured the new sidewalk and completed the other work in a single day. He was very friendly and quick to answer our questions. I would recommend Jesus Soto's work without reservation. He and his crew were fantastic! Thanks Jesus!
Description of Work: Professional Concrete Works replaced a sidewalk, buried the water drain beneath the concrete and repaired some brick work. They also removed a tree that blocked easy use of the sidewalk.

 + -1 moreNO SHOW! I made an appointment with Jesus several days in advance but he failed to show up for it (and didn't call). He also didn't respond to two follow-up voicemail messages I left for him (one was made 75 minutes after the missed appointment time and the other several days later). I clearly stated my phone number twice in those messages in case he had somehow lost it. While I remain annoyed about the no-show and no-response, it is way better to be able to screen out this potential vendor early in the selection process instead of having responsiveness problems once he started the work!
Description of Work: I needed driveway, walk and patio repair. No work was performed however since vendor didn't show up for initial appointment to provide an estimate!

He came to my house on a Friday and had a written quote emailed to me from his iPad before he drove away from my house. His quote was $600 less than the other 2 quotes. He was able to start the job the next Tuesday. He called the day before and said he'd be to my house between 7:00 and 8:00 am. He arrived at 7:30 am. The work was complete by noon. He also put in a extension to a gutter drain and ran it under the sidewalk. He left some of the extension material with us, just in case we want to push the water further from the house in the future. It was a total of 6 days from my first phone to schedule quotes to the completed work. Jesus and his crew were professional and courteous.
Description of Work: I needed to connect a sidewalk on the side of our house to a patio around the back of our house. It was about 25 feet of sidewalk total. This included removing 3 bushes and some rocks.

Description of Work: Jesus provided a fast estimate to repair a recent terrible stone paving job. His estimate was fair and reasonable. He asked if he could come a couple of days early. His work was completed very fast and the work was beautiful. Our new stamped concrete pad is high quality and looks lovely. I would have given his work all "A's" but the color came out a bit "off" from the color we chose. It came out much too red, the sample he originally provided was much more brown. We can live with it but I don't love it as much as I would have had it been what he showed me at the time of the estimate was closer than the final product. However, I certainly can't fault Jesus and his crew for his politeness, quick work or quality customer service. I would hire him again as he fixed something I absolutely hated.

 + -1 moreMr. Jesus Soto came promptly to make an estimate, promptly emailed me the proposal, and he and his men appeared on time to complete the job. When he delayed a few hours in emailing the proposal, I called the landline on his card (303-6697431), and his wife, who seems always to answer that number, immediately got in touch with him and saw that it was sent immediately. Both Mr. Soto and his wife seemed competent, good-humored, very accommodating, and always ready to answer questions along the way.
Description of Work: Two panels of my front sidewalk had buckled due to a tree root. Mr. Soto and his men removed the old panels, chopped the (large and woody) root, and replaced them.

 + 0 moreJesus responded quickly and came out within days to give me a quote on the spot.I told him I was still getting prices for additional landscaping and other services and he wrote me out the price on a business card and then emailed me a copy of the bid. After having several other bids done for additional xeriscaping and hardscape rock installations, I decided it would be in my best interest to see if Jesus could come out and give me a 2nd bid to make my driveway larger and add a design pathway element I initially was going to do in slate but thought was too expensive. It had been over two weeks but Jesus remembered me and came out to meet me and my woodworking guy to go over my additional ideas. Jesus 2nd bid was well within my price range and included lower maintenance, a better way to tie the entire yard together as well as some keen ideas he had for the entrance walkway. I unfortunately had to leave town on business but Jesus was more than willing to meet with me before my trip and take care of the work while I was away. I left notes for my wife and son and there were only a few questions that came up during the project.I came home to a beautiful new driveway and walkway. They did an excellent job with clean up and even removed some trash/debris that I had from a previous renovation that I had not disposed of. His workers were courteous to my neighbors and the project came out beautiful. All in all the work was completed in three days total and probably would have been two if it weren't for the 100+ degree temperatures we had that week. As soon as I get the remaining rock and landscaping done in my front yard I will have him out to give me yet another bid to get matching concrete in my backyard.
Description of Work: Jesus fixed the grade of a poorly sloped rock driveway, removed a slab of concrete at end of our driveway, created a slope for a new sidewalk and expansion wing and poured a new double driveway with borders and stamped/stained design.

 + -1 moreMy husband and I were in the process of purchasing our first new home when the inspector had noticed trip hazards in the driveway. My insurance company required we get the hazards repaired and had 60 days from escrow to do so. We had contacted more than a few companies to bid on the work which was to include completely re-pouring the sidewalk up to the front porch since that had sunken down as well as the trip hazards in the driveway (which was a full pad). Jesus came immediately out the next day after we called. He gave us a stellar quote and we were very happy with his response time though it took a few extra days to get a written quote from him to submit to the sellers of our home. We had to wait until we closed on the home and moved in to start the repairs and as soon as we did; I gave Jesus a call which he answered, remembered who I was, and told me he would call the following week to let me know when he would be coming out. (That it would be a short notice when he would come to my place and that he would do the work this week.) It is now mid week with no phone call and plenty of calls from me. I did finally get a call today after already speaking to other contractors. I decided to look elsewhere for the work. Overall, I wish I could have gone with this company. My husband and I agreed that Jesus was very personable and friendly. The price was the best of all the quotes and it would have been nice to work with him. I am quite disappointed, I'm supposed to have my driveway and sidewalk repaved this week and I'm scrolling through Angie's list looking for new contractors instead.

 + -1 moreJesus and his crew far exceeded my expectations. I called in 5 companies to submit estimates (3 from Angie's list, and 2 from other sources). Professional Concrete Works was one of two from Angie's list that provided the lowest bid overall and convinced me that they knew exactly what they were doing. What set Jesus apart from the other companies was his expertise and creativity in addressing issues that I needed addressed. He came up with ideas and suggestions for design that none of the others thought of, and in the end it was those suggestions that made the finished products much better than I had envisioned. Jesus was very easy to communicate with, very professional, very prompt and obviously knows his stuff. The team did a great job applying the final touches and cleanup afterwards, and I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone.
