 + -1 moreWe are delighted with the final product. We had asked another mason many months ago for a quote. After taking measurements we could never reach him again. We were recommended to Nick and the rest is history. The work took longer than we expected but with our desire not to see grout I believed this to be our problem because the 2 workers were SO precise with every stone they cut and placed to create a beautiful look with with a curved top alcove. We will be having wood floors put in next and they kept the bottom stone 3/4 inches from the floor to accommodate that as instructed. I have to say that I was really blown away with the excellent work done by the 2 tradesmen who worked for Nick. In my estimation Nick should be charging more for his excellent work.
Description of Work: We have 2 side-by-side alcoves in our family room that were drywall (one with a gas fireplace and the other a large TV nook). We wanted to put stone around them. Nick was recommended and came to our house the same evening to give us an estimate. His grasp of our vision and his recommendations were wonderful. Nick did not perform the work but his two employees...one with decent enough English and the other none at all, were absolutely amazing. They did exactly what we wanted (Nick must be a good communicator) and we were surprised at their creativity. My main desire was to "see no grout" which made their job a little harder both in workmanship and time. They worked full days sometimes arriving later and working later. Nick check on the work several times.
