In the end the fence looks pretty good, but communication and customer service was horrible. The main guy gave me a quote and got the work started a week late. The crew did not know where I wanted my gate placed, they were going to make the fence longer than I asked, they left the work site in a shambles, and shared that their boss, Todd, doesn't communicate with them. It was very hard to reach Todd by email and phone. Eventually it seemed email was what worked. I had a lot of questions, and when I finally caught Todd I felt he did not listen to my concerns and brushed me off. I know he didn't listen because someone had to come back and replace the latch I asked for, and it still isn't the one I wanted. He was not thorough in what all of my options could have been when building on a sloped surface, I think he made a decision for me based on what he thought I could pay and how much time he wanted his crew to spend on the job. I would have chosen the more expensive option had I known differently. From my knowledge wasn't around when the work was being done, and I was home most of the time the crew was working. I never heard from him once the job was complete and never received a final invoice. I was never asked if I was happy with my fence. I mailed a check for the remainder of what I was quoted for the fence over 6 weeks ago and it still has not been cashed.

The price was reasonable, but the work was awful. It took them well over a week to complete our fence, the pickets were cut unevenly, and many pickets were missing nails-- I know because I had to go around and check every single picket. I also had the pleasure of spending a lot of time cleaning up after these guys-- I guess it was up to me to pick up all the pieces of cut fence all over my yard. It was also apparently up to me to remove all the piles of dirt along the fence from the post holes they dug, and fill those same post holes back in up to grade. The owner really was very difficult to work with, has zero integrity, and literally nothing was done the way we had originally discussed. The fence was done a couple of months ago and we already have several pickets splitting from poor placement of nails, our gates are splitting where the latches were installed, and the locks on the gates don't close on their own.The "no-hassle" apparently refers to the fact that the half-wit owner doesn't want to be hassled. This turned out to be a huge hassle for us, and when our fence falls down in a couple of years, I will happily be calling one of the many other fence companies out there to replace it.
Description of Work: They built a fence with 2 gates
