Moving Boss

The company postponed my move the day before saying they were having truck issues, but they guaranteed to move me the following day. The dispatch said that I was first on the list for the move on Sunday 7/29 at 8 am. At 8:35 I got a phone call asking if I knew it was a Jewish Holiday and that the mover couldn't work. I explained to him, that the company scheduled it and asked for a phone number to talk to someone at the company. The mover explained that he would do the best to help me out, he would make a few calls and then get back in touch with me. I received a text message 3 minutes after getting off the phone with the mover. The text message from the mover read "truck isn't ready, sorry we can't come". I called the number from the text message and asked about the status of my move, and he responded with "I just sent you a text saying we can't come, make other arrangements." After about 5 minutes of being on the phone with the guy, he said "I told the company on Friday that it wasn't going to work, sorry." I called the company 4 times leaving a message every time. When I finally got a hold of someone at the company, a man named Steve that originally scheduled my move said "well people have treated me much worse, it isn't a big deal". I heard back from the original mover on July 31st saying "well I can move you today at 4pm, but you are going to have to pay more because it is 3 guys on the truck and you are scheduling it the same day." I elected to hire another company. The customer service was poor at the very best. The sense of urgency and follow through was nonexistent.
