MILLENNIUM MOVERS

Moving Companies

About us

We started out in 1999 as A-Active Moving. Early 2001 we became primary know as Millennium Movers. We have gained knowledge of the moving industry in those years. We have seen the rights and wrong the moving has done since 1999. What we truly believe that separates us from most of the moving companies out there is our stance on being truthful to our potential clients and our current clients regardless of the outcome. We know the moving industry in America is riddled with dishonest practices. A moving company may tell a client what they want to hear in order to get their business; not what they need to know. We will tell you what is needed, even if that means you don’t choose us to be your mover. The value of our moving services without any moving discounts is on average and in many cases lower than the average moving company in Colorado. When factoring in our discounts that we give out to our clients, our cost of service is we lower that the average moving companies cost of services. A great Value for what you pay for. We treat our movers like family, because they are like family to us. Our movers are very kind and helpful to our customer. They are attentive to our clients needs when it comes to moving them. Our movers learn from us that it is never a good idea to cut corner when providing moving or packing service to our clients. Corners cut equals mistakes, mistakes equals accidents and or damages to property. Some of the procedures needed to take in order to provide a safe move, is to properly prep the home and furniture before moving the articles out to the truck. If needed we will lay pads and masinite down on hardwood floors, tile floors, marble floors, and any other type of flooring prone to damage. Our movers are instructed to pad wrap banisters. Our movers prep furniture by pad wrapping and shrink wrapping the furniture before moving them. These are some of what our movers do to reduce or eliminate damages. They also take steps to make the move safe. When arriving to the new location, the prepping of the new location is done again before articles are moved in. We are also a member of the BBB. In 2004 we received a gold star award from the BBB. We plan on continuing the great service we have gave our clients over the years. We are always looking for ways to improve our company and the services we provide.

I would not recommend this company to anyone! The three guys were totally inexperienced, one took a load down the elevator and to the truck while the other three sat around. Furniture was wrapped with saran wrap and ended up scratched. The worst moving experience ever!

I called Joe Rondinelli (of A All Care Free Moving and Storage) on the phone to schedule our move, and I got a call the night before with an arrival window of between 9 and 10 am. On the day of the move, Millennium Movers was at the door at 10:40, but by the time they walked through the house and set up, the first items were not moved out of the house until 11am. We were still finishing up the kitchen stuff, so I wasn't going to hold that against them. Additionally, they were supposed to bring wardrobe boxes, but they and quot;weren't on the truck, and quot; so our clothes had to go in black trash bags. The workers took smoke breaks each hour, and nearly an hour for lunch, while my husband continued to work moving boxes from the house to the back of the truck. In their favor, they packed the truck nice and tight, and nothing major was broken or damaged, but there were quite a few scrapes and dings that required us to touch up paint and moldings around the house, and I still have two pieces of furniture to repair. When the truck was full and ready to go to the storage unit, they left the residence without my husband and had their truck and quot;break down because of the turboand quot; for an hour while no one was reachable by phone! Also, they had a 16 year old worker who had never been on a move before, and didn't know how to wrap furniture or do a strap lift. Then, they ran out of wrap, ran out of tape, and used the rest of our tape too. At the end of day one, they couldn't finish the job (due to the late start, frequent breaks, and disappearance for an hour with our stuff), leaving us in the lurch for a place to sleep. We ended up in the course of the evening, on the phone with an office manager named James (who never gave a last name), who assured us that the work would get done and heand acirc;??d be sending out an additional crew to finish the job. However our crew said that due to the truck problems, they couldn't finish the job, and after unloading the truck, further said that the other crew wouldn't be able to come in time. Finally, we convinced them to move a mattress to our apartment so that we could at least have a place to crash, until they could come back to finish things, which weand acirc;??d set for the following afternoon. The next morning, the same crew leader called to ask if he could bring a different crew by in less than an hour to get the job done (estimating 2 hours of work). Moderately inconvenient, but wanting to have the job done, we agreed. We waited at the house for an hour and a half without any sign of them, no phone call, and no return call from several messages. Finally, we had to take my son to a soccer game, and twenty minutes into the game, they call to say they are at our door. We meet them seven minutes later, and get things started shortly before noon. It was clear on Saturday that they were in a hurry, and they start loading the truck, but this is only going to be a partial load, so they load really loose and light, and then, as they are getting to the end of the load, they run out of space and canand acirc;??t fit any more in even though there is plenty of room toward the front of the truck. We are just ready to be done with all of this, so we take the truck less than half full overall, to the storage place and the apartment (while leaving about 4 trips of stuff to take by our personal vehicles). We stopped the clock just before 3 pm, for three more hours of work. Despite numerous calls and messages to the office with concerns and complaints on Saturday throughout the morning and early afternoon, we still canand acirc;??t get in touch with the office manager, a guy named and quot;Jamesand quot; (without a last name). We refused to pay until we talked to him, so our crew manager calls and he answers at the same number straight away! We complained extensively, but he said initially that we had to pay full priceand acirc;?and brvbar; he was a real smooth talker. We finally worked out a small reduction in fee on account of the use of a 16 year old (when he stated that company policy was to only employ 18+) and got him to take off some of the time the workers were just sitting around or completely missing, but in the end, the job cost probably 30% more than it should have with a good crew. I have moved myself and my family more than 5 times in the past ten years, so I know what this move should have taken and cost. Our experience is not one that I'd wish on anyone. The only reason to give the moving crew any credit is that the price for three workers was reasonable, they were clean and reasonably courteous, they put down floor protection over the hardwood floor hallways, and knew how to pack a truck right (even if they are not so good at estimating space). I wish we could get a do-over, but I will have to move again soon, so in a way, I will have another chance to find a company that is reliable and actually cares about the service they provide and the satisfaction of the customer.
Description of Work: We had to move our belonging from our home after selling our house. One quarter of our belongings were going to our temporary apartment, and 3/4 was going to a storage unit. The storage unit was less than a mile away, and the apartment was 3 miles away.

It was not a pleasant experience. The gentleman that was conducting the estimate was supposed to show up at 10:00. I work full time and had taken some time off to be there for his estimate. He called about 9:00 and said that he would not be there until 11:00. At 11:10 he called and said he would be there in the next 10 minutes. At 11:40 I called him and asked where he was. He stated that he was lost. I gave him directions and he finally showed up at my house at 12:00. Once he was finally there it took him one hour to conduct the estimate. The other two companies that performed estimates for me were able to do it in under 30 minutes. Once I finally received the estimate it was 30 pages! Their costs were twice as much as one of the other company's that I reviewed. I was not impressed from the get go with this company. I was not about to trust them with my move!
Description of Work: I contacted this company for a moving estimated.

I have used them before so I received a discount. They did an alright job of moving my things but when I pay by the hour I'd expect a little less talking and more working. Another thing that was odd was that every time I called the company I was told a different price.
Description of Work: They moved me entirely from one residence to the other.

Packers arrived at my condo on 5/18 at 10:30 am. I did not realize at that time that very little of the large amount of packing materials in my basement was used. 3 movers arrived at my condo on 5/21, approximately an hour and a half late. The moving truck would not accommodate my household and no other trucks were available, so they completed my move 2 days later. Damages: Gouges in walls of new house and old house; leg on globe stand broken off; 2 inch chunk broken off corner of desk hutch; foot on muffin stand broken off; scratches on file cabinet; scratches on both drop-leaf tables; scratches on dining room table; scratches on half table; back of spider web chair cracked in two places; scratches on bed rails in master bedroom; scratches on book case and shelves; grease stain on fabric of master bedroom bench; no mattresses were covered so they ended up extremely dirty. One of my daughter's movers hit the back of her car while entering Ward Road, pushing her into traffic.
Description of Work: My daughter and I scheduled Millennium Movers for both our moves on 5/21/07 from Arvada to Elizabeth, CO. Patricia Ness and Cindy visited my condo on Sun., May 6, to assess and price our moving needs. At that time, we were told: The moves would be completed in one day and a crew would be assigned to each household, utilizing two trucks. We indicated that a one day move was important to us since another mover advised it would take two days. I requested packers to complete my packing and indicated that I had a huge amount of packing materials and boxes in the basement from my previous move, which was less than a year prior. I was told by Pat that my materials would be used first before using any of Millennium's materials. The moving date was scheduled for 5/21/07. The packing date was scheduled for 5/18/07.

Response from MILLENNIUM MOVERS
In regards to our pack team, the head packer made the decision to use some of the materials as the materials were old and were stored in her basement. All the things were looked at by Cindy Bell in her home and her daughter was there. Her daughter told us she had a lot less than her mother had so we ordered 2 trucks and a large discount. When I (Pat) was told about some damages, I offered her $150 but I will go to $200 just to try to settle this. Patricia A Ness - Claims Dept.
