THEME - Over budget, behind schedule, embarrassing quality, questionable business ethics I hired Milagro to install a basement bathroom under the guarantee of top quality and timeliness. Neither were achieved. In terms of quality, Greg and team broke the corner off a shower wall and installed anyways - thinking I would not notice. Additionally, instead of properly installing the mirror that I purchased for the vanity, they rushed and screwed right through the frame (and off-center from the vanity, I might add). Greg also included a linen closet in his initial plan for the bathroom, but that was never installed. The paint job was CLEARLY rushed with trim not taped off, ceiling partially painted, and drip marks peppering the walls. Although I paid for two dumpsters, Greg's team left bags of debris in my garage for me to dispose of myself. I have repeatedly reached out to Greg and Cyndi to address these issues and I am always promised that Greg will "call (me) tomorrow." I have not heard from him in weeks. Greg even asked that I do not reach out to his business office to inform them that his team did not show up one day because it "would cause confusion." I foolishly complied, hoping performance would improve - but the job is still not done. As a young home owner, it took a considerable amount of saving to afford the bathroom build - money wasted. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your contracting needs.

Folks beware of Milagro Construction - 6061 Harlan St. Arvada, CO 80003: | |Cynthia Miller's expertise is in sweet-talking and smoothing things over, while out right saying things that contradict her actions. | Her partner, Greg Delgado is a master craftsman at quoting one price for materials and exceeding it by over 30%. Upon close inspection of materials receipt, I discovered that I paid for job/shop supplies such as: extra saw blades and a stainless steel mud pan which he can use on other jobs. |Additionally, I was charged $80.00 for a 28" door that they got at Home Depot for $29.00! | |Original estimate for materials: $170.00. Actual cost: $221.00 |Original estimate for Labor : $350.00 Actual cost: $440.00 | |It took well over a month from 12-10-2014, to receive a paid invoice for my records. | |The Following is a letter based on a phone Conversation I had with Cynthia Miller, Co-owner of Milagro Construction - which occurred 2:00 PM MST, Tuesday the 6th of January, 2015. |This was regarding the construction job of widening the bathroom doorway in a rental unit on the 6th of December, 2014 and getting an invoice sent to me marked paid. | | |Cynthia, | |Well, that was rude of you hanging up on me like that. Obviously, by your tone of voice- you must make a habit of being passive aggressively combatant with most of your customers. Apparently, my point was not well received that you were made sure to be paid ON TIME and not had to wait for my check in the mail, upon completion of the job, because Sam paid your partner Greg upon completion. At least you could have extended the same courtesy and sent the paid invoice when you said you were going to mail it that day; first, to myself on the 22nd of December or again on the 31st of December to Sam and Sandi. |"Holidays" and "being out of town" are good excuses to someone who claims to work 365 days out of the year. Yes Cynthia, of course it is the customer's fault when you are not sympathized with in the matter of sending a 2-page copy when you said you would. Furthermore, It is the customer's fault, that the last two pages of your job invoice, which supposedly had the Paid in Full information in the e-mail, when opened, were actually blank. |Consider this, if the partner on the job had handed an invoice marked PAID IN FULL as requested, upon receipt of the check for $460.00, like most contractors doing business would have, then you wouldn't have been subjected to all this what you called "harassment." Perhaps the contractor could have left us the stainless steel mud pan, which we paid for - as well?

I have used Greg in the past at my residence and I thought he did a good job. With my step-fathers house I saw quality of the work go down. He had very inexperienced workers trying to do the work. The guy laying tile said to my electrician that he had never done tile before. I had the impression that Greg Delgado the owner was more interested in getting paid weekly then how the job was done. On several occasions he brushed me off when he said he was going to do something. But he was right there waiting to get paid. The work was finally completed. Just satisfactory. I had some cracks in the drywall that he repaired. Six months after the job was done I see the crack starting to reappear. I call Greg. His contract said he warrants his work - "Absoulute Satisfaction Is Our Guarantee To You". I have called him on several occasions that he fix the cracks AGAIN. He always has some excuse. There is no money involved so Greg is not interested. He does not stand by his word. At this point I am ready to hire another contractor to fix the problem. After the significant sum of money that I paid to Milagro Contracting you would think they would care more then they do. Never use this company again and I recommend to anyone NOT to use these people.
Description of Work: My deceased step-fathers house was remodeled. Paint drywall repair plumbing tile installation remodel top to bottom.
