The original work took two days. When it was completed, I had several complaints and contacted the owner. One of the walls built down was crooked. The joint between the walls built down and the adjacent wall were filled with cocking and were not flush. There was an approximate 1 to 2" gap above the board used to build the walls down, which was covered with another strip of board that stuck out about 1". Instead of using new hardware on the interior doors installed, which I paid for, the old rusty hinges were used, one door did not have a door stop, and the old rusty door stop was used on the other door. Martin's Door Service returned to try and fix the issues. However, while they doing the work, I heard the workers grumbling the whole time. One of them said, "We're going to be here all day if we keep doing this," and fifteen minutes later, the repairs were "done." New hinges were put on the interior doors. However, they were set too far into the door jam, and the edge of the door on the hinge side pinch when they're closed. Only one side of the crooked wall was fixed. Drywall compound was used to fill the joints on the sides and top of the walls built down above the closets, which shrunk and cracked when it dried. No dry wall was used to cover the back side of the framing of the walls built down. The sliding closet doors hang down at a very noticeable angle. There are no stops on the sliding closet doors, so they slide right out of their track. I sent several photos to the owner and try to contact him to have the further issues fixed, but he was unresponsive. I ended up going through my credit card company to get a portion of the money back, which involved getting an inspection from another contractor and submitting photos and other documentation. I obviously would not hire this company again or recommend them to anyone. Corners were cut throughout the construction and installation process.
Description of Work: The walls were built down approximately eight inches over four closets. Closet doors were installed in all four closets. Two interior doors were replaced.
