Lawnmasters

I have used Lawnmaster's for over a year and have been very, very happy with their service. They are prompt, provide an excellent service and I have only had to contact them once in the last year for a billing mistake, which they corrected instantly. In addition to their mowing service I also use their monthly fertalizer service and my lawn has never looked better. I have used numerous lawn services in the last 10 years, but, this is without a doubt the best one!

It was terrible. They were never on time, most of the workers didn't speak english and the foremen was never on site. When we tried to let them know they were doing it wrong, they didnt understand us and it was a horrible expirence. Some of the work turned out all right in the end after a lot of complaining.

Back in September/October I received a driveway and wall from Lawnmasters. The owner of the company insisted during the job that we did not have to put a piped french drain in as he had quoted. In January I noticed cracks forming and water running over driveway. I called Lawnmasters and they took a look at it. After this they did replace one section of the driveway and added a drain underneath that section. Since then I have not been able to get them to replace the other severely cracked section or to add a French drain to the wall in back yard. (even though the quote calls for a drain through the entire length of the wall) On my quotes it is listed that I would receive a 12" French drain the entire length of wall. It also list piping that was to be used. This did not happen even after much disagreement from me. I addressed my concerns and they insisted it was not needed. They promised to fix it if it did become a problem. I have water seepage which is why I wanted the drains. When they replaced the one section they broke the section near it and acted like they are not responsible for it. My driveway has severely cracked sections that are settling. This driveway needs to last a lifetime and I probably will be replacing it within two years.

I hired Lawn Masters, at 601 Mount Zion Rd. in Shreveport, LA to alter my in-ground sprinkler system to allow for watering of two flowerbeds that were installed by a different company. They were quick to provide an estimate and had one of the better detailed estimates. The presentation of the estimate was professionally done as well. They even called to determine if I had made a decision on the job. However, the service and follow-up of LawnMasters was above average until I said "you're hired." After I decided to use LawnMasters and called to tell them they got the job, I was told by the irrigation specialist that it would be 2-3 weeks before they could begin my project, this was after I had been told by an administrative assistant that they could start in the next few days. They asked for my availability in two to three weeks, which I provided, and I was told they would call to confirm the date about a week in advance. They ended up arriving to complete the job, unannounced, without contacting me to confirm the date of the job. They also did not call 811, Louisiana One Call, prior to the date of service. I made them aware that I had numerous utilities on one side of the house (gas being one of the utilities) they worked on. The workers proceeded to unload a trencher; however, because I insisted that they hand dig the trenches, the trencher machine was not used. The irrigation specialist supervisor, did not stay to oversee the workers throughout the job and only stayed until a new zone was connected. Because the workers did not speak fluent English, communication became an issue. Once the new irrigation pipe and sprinklers had been installed, the workers started to leave without verifying that the system worked. I took the initiative to run through my zones before they left and found that the new zone added was not working. The workers vehicle was literally pulling away when I had to insist that the supervisor who installed the valve be called. Once the supervisor was contacted, I explained the situation and the first response was that my system must not be working because I had winterized it and he had checked the connection before the wires were buried. I had to defend myself and state that I had unwinterized the system earlier to use but had to re-winterize because of a late frost. The workers then proceeded to dig up the wiring of the new valve and found that it had not been connected properly. The workers did minor damage to newly installed decorative concrete curbing that had cured for > 28 days and forgot to complete part of the job, raising 5-6 sprinkler heads, which resulted in extra trips to complete. For the sprinkler work, workers arrived ~15 min late and w/o a supervisor to complete the job. They also came without having all the materials agreed upon in the contract to raise the heads (gravel and cloth that were to be added to the bottom of the hole of the sprinkler head). I did not allow work to be performed until the supervisor arrived, which he did ~1/2 hour after calling him. There was poor management of fixing the damages to my decorative concrete curbing as well. They did not fully communicate with the company that originally installed the curbing, there was no follow-up with me about how the product would be fixed, and there was no consideration as to how this would affect my current warranty on the product. I had to involve the owner of the company to get the curbing fixed and I still had problems with communication and follow-thru. The owner said he would leave the products to be used on my front door for me to check off, and that never happened. The owner said he would be the one to personally complete the work; however, I came home one day while it was being fixed to find the irrigation specialist and the person who draws up plans fixing the curbing, not the owner or a concrete/stone specialist - which is what I had agreed to. So I highly doubt the owner completed any of the other work. The Owner frequently did not inform me of items that had been completed for me to look at an approve, I had to stumble over them or text the owner to see where the repairs stood. Items were frequently not completed on days I was told they would be done. The irrigation specialist supervising my project was Brooks Davis. He frequently twisted situations, i.e. lied, and blamed others first for errors that occurred until proven otherwise. Mr. Davis also did not follow-up/thru as discussed and promised. A month and a half after the main job was done, the job was closed. This business has an A+ rating with the BBB and I am in disbelief of this rating. Beware of using this company.

They are just very approachable. They are very flexible as far as the type of service that I want done; everything from perfectly manicured to maybe a little more affordable, budget-friendly type of service. He really tries to work with me as far as the things that I might need done.

Horrible. Nothing I asked was done correctly.
