Description of Work: Had questions concerning my copier and necessary repairs. Adam was honest and felt it would not be to MY benefit to repair the machine. He had an opportunity to create revenue for himself, but chose to direct me to a less costly solution. I will call Adam in the future, if need be, and refer his business.

 + -1 moreI checked out printer repair companies on Angies List. I placed a call to Adam's business, Lakewood Business Machines. I don't recall if I left a voicemail or if I actually spoke to someone. Adam called me back within an hour and I gave a brief discription of the problem I was experiencing. He said he would come by in a few hours. He came to my office and quickly diagnosed the problem. He said he would have to stop to get parts and he could come back the following Tuesday. He called me on Tuesday before he came, to be sure there would be someone in the office. He changed out the part and we haven't had any issues since.
Description of Work: He came to my office the same day I called, on a Friday. My printer is a very large printer and difficult to move. He looked the printer over and diagnosed the problem immediately. I was in need of a new fuser. He picked up parts the following Tuesday and came by and replaced the part. Very nice guy who knew his business.

Description of Work: They worked on two printers at my school. One job was a standard cleaning. The other was an attempted major repair of a 13-year-old printer. The cleaning went fine. After working for several hours on the major repair, they determined that the printer's Power Unit would need to be replaced. They advised me that this cost would be disproportionately large considering the printer's age. I was highly pleased with the thoroughness of their work and the integrity of their customer service.

Description of Work: The warranty service recommended vendor was clueless, wanted $400, and gave up after I balked at his repair options. Laser printer only cost $500 new. LBM came out, cleaned my pinch rollers, told me real life expectancy left on unit, didn't even take a dime until 3 weeks later cause he wanted me to see if the cleaning fixed the problem, which it DID. Thank you. He returned, thouroghly cleaned everything, reset monitors to give me more life on belts and took minimal charges for great service. HIGHLY recommend!!

 + -1 moreThey were excellent. They wanted a reasonable deposit. They called me, they were inexpensive and they did the best they could. It's a little hard to fix, but it work for 3-4 months. I appreciated them being upfront and honest with me and not charging me an arm and a leg. I also appreciated them calling me to explain.
Description of Work: Lakewood Business Machines repaired my printer's paper feed.

 + -1 moreHe is conveniently located, so I was able to drop off the printer. He promptly called me after he had investigated the problem. Unfortunately, it was not a problem which could be fixed inexpensively, but he fully explained the situation. Now that I know about him, I will bring a problem to him earlier, instead of trying to work with HP, as he indicated he might have been able to fix it had it come to him when the problem first occurred.
Description of Work: Needed to find a dealer willing to diagnosis the problem and repair my HP All-in-One printer, rather than just telling me to go buy a new one. I had only had it one year and the warranty had just run out (of course).

 + -1 moreI didn't realize that the problem was something that I could do myself. However, I was glad that they came because I needed the problem corrected quickly. We have been using them for a long time and they are always great and we never have any problems.
Description of Work: My printer for my home computer was repaired the last time I used this company. They came to my home and had to un-jam the ribbon.
