I would definitely do business with Lee and his company again. He did exactly what he said he was going to do when he said he would do it. Lee is a no BS type of guy. He's easy to talk to and gives it to you straight. Additionally, he installs American Standard products, which always rate at the very top of consumer reviews, which was important to us. The work was done very professionally and with attention to detail. We have a walk out basement style house, which required Lee and his crew to do a bit of digging out of the land surrounding the area because of its grade. Our landscaping had not yet been done, so the area around our house was nothing but loose dirt and mud whenever it rained. He and his crew covered all of our basement carpeting with tarps to keep the nasty stuff off of the carpeting. We had a small issue once after the install was complete and Lee had a technician out within hours to correct it. A reasonable person knows that sometimes things can happen, how they are addressed is the important part. I can say that every time I called the company, I spoke directly with Lee. No voicemail or secretary. The warranty issue was addressed happily and at no charge. I like when a problem phone call is handled the same way as an estimate phone call. After building our house, we've unfortunately dealt with a lot of people who talk a big game and under deliver or never deliver at all. If you're looking for a company that does things the "old fashioned" way and installs top notch equipment, just call One Guy Heating & Cooling. You won't regret it.

Called out asking for a return call for work needed based on the great reviews on this site. And I prefer to give my business to smaller companies privately owned. Left a message asking for a return call and no one called me back, it's almost been a week now. I find that very disappointing and will not work with this company in the future. Communication and simply calling back is so very important, gives you an idea how they will handle the work in my opinion. I called someone else recommended by a friend - he returned my call immediately, and came by to do the work within hours. I will work with them again in a heartbeat and avoid this company.

If I could put and quot;A+and quot; for the above ratings, I would!! We were new to this area last June and promptly got on Angie's List to find a number of services, since our 18 yr old house was not in very good shape when we moved in. The a/c, especially upstairs, was completely insufficient, and I wanted to get that fixed asap. After having at least 3 providers come by and give us their ideas on how and what to improve, we ended up choosing One Guy Heating, due in part to the reviews here, as well as his enthusiasm, knowledge, and service guarantee. We have been and quot;burnedand quot; several times with different services in the past, especially in the HVAC world, (oh the things they can do to screw us homeowners), so I remained quite skeptical, even after hiring Lee. Turns out I had no need to worry about a thing! The initial question was what to do first: install a new A/C unit or a zoning system to improve quality of air upstairs. We opted to change out the A/C unit and furnace first, since they would need replacing in the next couple years anyway. Lee had been very enthusiastic about the zoning system, but agreed immediately to work just on the new a/c unit and furnace instead. He said there was good chance that it might be the only thing that needed to be done. This was last June/July.Lee and his right hand man, Jim, were able to order all the stuff and get it here within a very short amount of time, and went to work immediately. Lee was here the first day or so, helping with the initial install, and Jim came in early every a.m. and didn't quit until late in the afternoons. That man is a hard worker. Lee would stop by frequently and check on everything and talk with us about the progress. Getting a new unit and furnace, turned out to be a good and very necessary decision, as our previous a/c unit was way too small for our house and also they found some original shoddy workmanship (imagine that!) when dismantling it that was negatively affecting the airflow. After all was said and done, Lee was true to his word and did everything he could to keep our costs low and was able to save us a significant amt of $$$ on the unit we ended up getting. He also called and came by a few times afterward to make sure all was well. So, we were quite pleased with the results. We were going to see how everything worked over the winter and into the spring before deciding if we wanted to add the zoning system.So, although we could feel some improvement, due to the poor duct construction of the home (and all the homes in the neighborhood) we were still having difficulties getting enough airflow to the vents upstairs, particularly the master bedroom. There was only so much an even very nice a/c unit could do with the blockages within the ducting system. So, after much discussion, we called Lee up last month and asked for an estimate on his zoning system. He had been extremely enthusiastic about a particular system called Arzel (he has it in his own home), which uses pneumatic (no electrical parts) dampering vents that direct the airflow to specific sections of the house, thus making the inhabited area consistently more pleasant. He came out immediately, gave us a thorough estimate and was able to start work on it the following week. Same as before, he started the job with Jim, then Jim seemed never came up for air (!) until it was done a few days later. The difference was immediate! The barely functioning vents in our bedroom are now going gangbusters with heat or cool air and we have simple thermostats on each floor that we use to schedule the transfer of air from one floor to another, depending on time of day, etc. The system turns on immediately when it is scheduled and now when I walk into my bedroom for the evening, I am greeted with delightful cool air instead of stuffy hotness. We had them return this past week to strengthen the flimsy ducts (which they don't make anymore, they are so cheap) that were making noises every time the system would turn on and shut down, due to the increased air flow pressure. I knew that they would do their best to make us happy, and they did! No more popping, bonging noises now! We know we can completely rely on Lee for any follow-up service we may need.My husband and I HEARTILY recommend Lee and his One Guy Heating company for any of your HVAC needs. The Arzel system is quite miraculous and now I have many members of my family asking about it for their homes (in different states) since, apparently air flow is a common problem in many houses (cheap contractors!). So, take it from a hardened and quot;burnedand quot; skeptic, that you can skip everybody else and just call One Guy Heating. He will take good care of you. Thanks Lee!!

One Guy Heating, Cooling & Sheetmetal Inc. were OK. They did the job that they said they were going to do, showed up on time and did a good job.

I have used them before, and they have been great. I don't know what's going on, but I'm not happy!

One technician came out to do the work. They did the work for the AC tune up. They had good communication and came when they said they did. He went to my old address and we had to reschedule. He was responsive, punctual and everything was fine.

Lee and Jim did a fantastic job. Lee was very easy to work with. I felt that his dedication to doing his job right and doing what was in the best interest of the client was clear from when he came to do the estimate through when the job was complete. Jim was very quiet but he focused on getting the job done and worked very diligently to do so. I appreciated both of their work very much and will be going to them for any heating/cooling needs we may have in the future. We had one communication hiccup scheduling the estimate but once it was identified, Lee was very apologetic and was quick to remedy it. We were very happy with the way it was handled. We had three estimates done. We chose to go with Lee because 1) he took into account our needs - not just what made him the most money - and provided advice along with the estimate, 2) his price was very reasonable, and 3) his solution to our unique problem fit best with our needs. Finally, I would say that because Lee's business is so small you avoid the sugar coating that you get with some contractors. I felt that I was dealing directly with him and thus could hold him responsible or ask him questions if either were required (although neither really were in this particular instance). He always came across as being straight forward/unfiltered and I felt that I could trust him and his work. While the unfiltered style may not be preferred by everyone, it was preferred by me and my husband after getting the run around by many other contractors that we found out, after the fact, were not being straight forward with us.

Great experience. I purchased a whole house humidifier with installation from a Deal that One Guy Heating was offering here on Angie's List. The price beat every other offer I had seen, Talked to Lee by phone and scheduled the install the same week for 8:30am. None of that 8-12 or 12-4 B.S. the other guys give you. 8:29am the van pulls up in the drive and the technician went right to work. About an hour and a half later the job was done. He explained to me how the system works and basic maintenance. Very neat and professional install. If it weren't for the new humidifier hanging there, you would never know anyone had been in the house. He cleaned up and took every bit of packaging and trash with him. Gotta say I am impressed. I'll be calling One Guy again for any HVAC work or maintenance I need taken care of.

As above. told me he would come by late afternoon the next day. He never showed and never called. I did call the morning off to make sure he had my address. Left a message that he never returned.

Tech checked the system, the pressure of the Freon, and the cooling tower. Cooling tower was extremely dirty and he cleaned all of it while adding two pounds of Freon. We tested the system after adding the Freon and then took out the winter furnace filter and the air pressure out of the vents increased dramatically. Apparently this is the cause of the majority of the AC calls and an easy fix. We also talked about additional return air vents and their locations. The builder did a very poor job of installing the original heating system in this Centex home so any suggestions are welcome.

I got a recommendation from a friend to use his furnace guy. "He is cheaper and does excellent work." I knew right after the install that i had made a mistake. Signed up for Angielist and called Lee. he came out in 2 days and quoted me a complete re-install of my newly installed high efficiency furnace. Couldn't be happier with the work that Lee and John did on the re-install. Everything looks great in the mechanical room and the unit is functioning as expected, with major improvement over my previous furnace / ac units. Well worth the money spent and i should have called One Guy to begin with.

Temps are bouncing near 100 for first time this year, so there is a LOT of demand for services from air conditioner service men. I called three service people - one told me it would be three weeks before they could come to my house. The second said it would be 10 days. When I got hold of Lee, he said he thought he could get to my house later that afternoon. He called me back in about ten minutes and told me his technician could be at my house within two hours. I said - GO FOR IT! His technician arrived exactly on time and within an hour, my house was cooling down. Needless to say, I'm a Happy Camper and a much cooler camper. Everything happened exactly as Lee said it would. I EVEN got a discount for being a member of Angie's List. Beat that if you can.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon for One Guy Heating, Cooling & Sheetmetal. Everything went smoothly and worked out fine on schedule, on time, on budget. The price is fair. The guy was very good, very nice but he was a little rough around the edges. He didn't look professional, his truck was kinda beat up and didn't have any kind of uniform.

I read about Lee on Angieslist and saw his good reviews. I was looking for a smaller outfit - not a big HVAC company (with big overhead!). Everything went very well. Lee and his employee were on time and got all the jobs done. I think mounting the existing evaporative cooler through the brick wall was more difficult than anticipated, but Lee did not charge me more. I was very pleased with everything Lee did for me. My tenants are very happy that all three coolers are working wonderfully.

The work went very well. The technician arrived on time. He very thoroughly inspected the AC unit, tested freon levels, and more. He even showed me how to clean debris from sidewall vents rather than automatically doing it. Finally, Lee called me back later in the day to check that everything was working and that I was satisfied with the service. Absolutely excellent service.

While he did not perform the work, he did give us the names of several professionals that he recommended that were closer to us. He said it was far away from his usual area and that it would save us having to pay a travel charge for him to come to our home. I appreciated his sincerity and recommendations and we were able to find someone great to help us.

Lee was resourceful, friendly and honest. And very helpful!

The install went really well. Lee was about 3-4 days out on scheduling. Lee and his helper showed up on the scheduled day and time. I checked in a couple of times during the day and things where progressing nicely. The install was a 2 day process because of my lack of airflow in one room. Lee had told me this prior to the install. At the end of the day they made sure we had a functioning furnace to make it through the cold night. The next day they where back right on time. They finished up that day. Everything look good. Lee followed up a couple of days later to make sure everything was functioning correctly. I am very impressed with this company and will be using them for our A/C install.

Great service. We had gotten two other estimates on the work. This was for a small (600SQ ft) half duplex. One Guy was the only company to really look at the size of the furnace in relation to the size of the unit. Appropriate sizing saved us money on the furnace and was in line with the recommendations on the the US Dept of Energy web site for appropriate sizing. Not only saves us money during installation, but over the life of the furnace in terms of gas used. They showed up on time for the initial estimate. Did all the work on schedule. Communicated well throughout. Came back promptly to deal with a noise issue in the ductwork.

They contacted the tenants, set the appointments and showed up on time. Performed the service, no problems. We would us the company in future.

Everything went fine. The owner had his employee Jim over for most of it. They were both real nice and hardworking. I felt comfortable with them working in our house when we were at work. We've had a real warm winter because of them. We didn't shop around much, but for top of the line equipment they charged about 3000 less than Costco's special offer. We would do it again.

This was a good experience. I took advantage of the on-line coupon provided by One Guy Heating for the new humidifier. I was already in the market looking for this equipment so the timing was great. After I purchased the humidifier via Angie's List Website, One Guy called me the next day to confirm an appointment day and time. The only "hiccup" was vehicle failure on the day of the appointment. I immediately received a phone call prior to the appointment from One Guy with an apology and an explanation that they need to reschedule due to issues with the company vehicle. I completely understood, as I've been in similar situations as well. On the day of the appointment, One Guy arrived about 10 minutes early. That was great! The technician began by apologizing again for not making the first appointment. Then he laid down a drop cloth from our front door to the basement stairs in order to keep the outside dirt off our floors. He proceeded to install the new humidifier. It took about 2 hours to complete the work. Once he was finished, he was very detailed in explaining how to operate and maintain the humidifier. He was certain to leave behind all the necessary paperwork affiliated with the humidifier (warranty cards, instructions, etc..). Overall, the installation looked really clean. Within hours, I could already feel the difference of the added humidity to the dry air. In conclusion, I called One Guy to let them know that I was satisfied with the work. In addition, I had another HVAC question unrelated to the humidifier and it was clearly and professional answered. In the future, I would truly consider using One Guy Heating for other needs that may arise.

I was pleased with the work and they did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

Great response and service. Had a problem with my energy efficient furnace that had been installed by a subcontractor on a remodel contract. THe kind of people who have no sign on their truck. One Guy Heating was one of the several companies called to give an estimate. Lee was prompt and had an estimate right away. He was the only guy who really identified the problem and knew how to fix it. His price was less than the competition and his knowledge is superb.

Overall the services are very good. They are very knowledgeable.
