Description of Work: A technician arrived to clean and condition our exterior airconditioner. It worked beautifully for one evening. The next day, the A.C. wasn't working. Two technicians arrived later the next day. The circuit board on our furnace, which controls the A.C. was broken due to an electrical arc.

Description of Work: We used their services to revent our water heater and bring it up to code. It was a hazard prior to their work, which is why they made a house call so quickly after our initital call with them. Very friendly and respectful. Description of Work: My central air conditioner abruptly stopped conditioning the air when it was needed most (end of July), so I searched Angie's List for an air/furnace outfit and OneGuy Heating and Cooling jumped out as having the most favorable reports in my area by far. I immediately called OneGuy (Lee Krolopp) and he readily agreed to come by the following day to assess the situation. The compressor (the unit that sits outside) had reached the end of it's life, as it was the original unit, approx. 20 yrs old. I mentioned to Lee that when the air conditioner was working, the air flow was somewhat weak in certain parts of the house, and it didn't take him long to conclude that my furnace and blower were not strong enough for the air conditioner and the furnace was obviously at least as old as the air conditioner. I guess I kinda knew that since I'd had it serviced 4-5 time in the past couple of years (not by Lee), it wasn't rocket science to conclude that both the air conditioner and furnace needed to be replaced. I wasn't in a position to spring for a high end multi-speed furnace with dancing girls, but one guy Lee and his other guys installed decent units (both air conditioner and furnace) the day after I met with Lee. The house went from an oven to a cool 76° (the temp of my choosing...."room temp", 72°, is an arbitrary number based on dubious science). Lee and his associates (other guys) were prompt, friendly, and wasted no time installing the hardware, which fired up without a hitch. A week or so later I needed some help installing a garbage disposal, which normally I would install myself, but due to my recent hip surgery, I asked Lee to recommend a plumber who wouldn't charge me $50-60 to walk in the door. Well, to make a long story longer, the guy Lee pitched came over from Loveland and had the disposal installed in about 6 minutes, which made me feel even more useless. I asked him what he needed and he said $40. I did a double take and said did I take a time machine back 30-40 yrs? I suppose he felt sorry for the fact that I was too gimpy to install a friggin' garbage disposal, and I'm sure Lee's recommendation influenced his price as well. Needless to say, I was very satisfied with the work and wouldn't hesitate to call Lee again for similar work or recommendations for other contractors or tradesmen. Thanks to OneGuyLee and his "other guys".

+ -1 moreI called to get a quote. Lee wanted to come early on Saturday to give me the quote. I agreed to the early morning appointment on Saturday. He did not show up and called me an hour after the scheduled time and told me he overslept. I offered a later time on Saturday to reschedule, but it didn't work with his schedule, so we didn't reschedule. Other than this, he was polite and helpful on the phone.

His rates were affordable, and he honored the coupon provided on Angie's List. When he was here, he also made the suggestion to add an air intake that would improve airflow in the usually freezing basement. On the day we had the install scheduled, he arrived on time and walked his employee through what we had discussed, and made sure everything was clear before heading out. His employee did a great job and make sure the work area was spotless before he left.

+ -1 moreIt was -32 windchill in Denver this morning when my family woke up to no heat. Only cold air was pushing through the vents. I logged onto Angie's List, found OneGuy (my first call). They answered at 7:30 am and were here by 9 am. I have a 2 year old and 37 weeks pregnant so we really needed the heat to be fixed. The service tech came, was friendly, removed his shoes and was able to find the issue quickly. He left to retrieve a part and was back in less than 30 minutes. He just left and my heat is running at 10 am. Great service. Worth the price.
Description of Work: Our furnace was not working, OneGuy came within 1 hour, repaired the broken electrical part and the heat was working a short time later!

Lee was the only one who actually got on the roof and climbed into the attic. I liked the fact that he answered his phone whenever I called. He patiently answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. I came to trust him and the work went smoothly.
Description of Work: I first called Lee to install the duct work for a new range hood. He came over right away and gave me a reasonable estimate, so I went with him. At that time, I asked him to give me an estimate to replace my old evaporator cooler in time for the $1000 in rebates offered. I hired him to do that work and am very satisfied.

Two of the bigger, more well-known companies came in with bids that were more than twice the price from Oneguy for the same product. Oneguy Heating showed up on time and got the work done quickly and without a problem. I would and have recommended them to friends or anyone needing work done at a fair price.

The warranty company provided a quick fix, but the unit still is not working as it should and they refused to come out to look at it anymore. I contacted One Guy Heating and spoke to Lee several times. He was very helpful and confirmed that it didn't sound like the unit was working correctly. He sent his technician out who at the time wasn't able to provide a definitive answer as to why the unit isn't working properly, But he took down measurements and he and Lee did some additional investigative work on my behalf and was able to write up a report for me to submit to the warranty company detailing the cause of what they need to do to properly fix the unit. Lee is extremely nice, responsive and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him.

As a result having the thermostat only in the main floor was not regulating the temperature well enough. Too cold in the basement and upstairs during winter. Lee suggested the Arzel system. Lee gave us a price and it was exactly that. Our cost was higher as the basement was finished and we had to cut wholes in the ceiling to get to the duct work. Overall we are very satisfied with the project. And have the correct temperatures in the rooms.
Description of Work: Added a whole house zoning system. The product used was from 'Arzel'. Added two thermostats to the house, so now I have 3 -- one for each level including the basement

The also found a structural problem in the floor joist that was unrelated to the heating work, but needed immediate attention.
Description of Work: New furnace, moved an existing duct to make room for a bath remodel, added a new duct through the first floor to a 2nd floor bedroom that did not have heat. Home built 1890.
