K&A just finished installing our deck, and we are beyond thrilled with how it came out! From the very beginning Alex has been incredibly responsive and very patient with our many, many questions, giving us excellent advice on what to consider when designing our deck, and finding ways to achieve what we want within our budget. The crew was super efficient and always happy to answer our questions as well! If we had another deck to build, K&A would be our first call. :-) Highly recommend!

Our experience with K&A was outstanding. We needed to replace an older 2-level deck. They took the time needed to review and provided the best estimate, plan and execution. Such a pleasure to work with K&A - high level of attention to detail, communicative, punctual, great at resolving any issues that arose. We are thrilled with the results - the roof and shed are professionally built, high-quality, and came within our budget. Billing was a transparent process - we were never surprised by additional costs we hadn't anticipated. Both projects were meticulously planned and drafted at the beginning, and the city permitting process was handled entirely by K&A. Alex and his team took charge of our deck upgrade project and made it effortless for us. He was very responsive, helpful and always let us know what was happening ahead of time. We gave him the general idea and his crew took it from there. Blueprints, permits, engineering and start to finish construction was all extremely smooth.

We received three bids. Of the three, Alex was the only one listening to and bidding to my wife and my requests regarding size, layout and functionality. The other two over-bid with far more unwanted finish and detail than asked for or needed. K&A's bid and final cost came within an affordable range. It was an easy choice. K&A picked a start date and stuck to it; the first of an overall positive experience with this project. As with any project of this size, delays become expected (a few rain stops, a few city inspection stops; the usual) and must be dealt with. Alex kept us informed throughout the process. The projected four-week process turned into six-plus weeks; overall not a bad construction experience. Alex and his crew were timely (when they said they would be here at 8am, they were here!), knowledgeable and very professional. The overall quality of our new deck is amazing and has garnered many positive comments along with jealous oohs and aahs. We highly recommend K&A for your project.

In 2009 we hired Alex and his team to build a deck for us. It was late winter/early spring and they worked under some of the most horrendous weather conditions, but they showed up, worked extremely hard and built us an awesome deck. May 2021 we asked Alex and his team to came back to take a look at some of the boards that were warping and sand and seal the deck for us. Alex was not only responsive, but actually squeezed us in during a very busy time. their work is incredible, the team is honest, hardworking and professional. I would recommend them time and time again.
