We purchased a lovely couch and then took off 4/29 as this was the date the salesperson gave us as the delivery date. Kacey called during the delivery window to schedule the deliver date for 4/30. "@#$%&!". The delivery scheduler said that he would have someone call from CS but no one ever did. We called them and they said that they would have our salesperson call. She called 2 days later to see how we liked our couch. We told her that the couch was delivered on the wrong date and that it was dirty after they unwrapped it. I would have thought that they would have at least discounted the delivery since they screwed up my schedule for 2 days. They did send out a independent upholstery cleaner at their expense to clean the schmutz off that did a wonderful, professional job.
Description of Work: Purchased couch for our family room.

On the plus side they were punctual. Each time they came out they were on time. I did have to have them come back to connect the sectional.
Description of Work: On June 7, 2008 I ordered a sectional with recliners on each end, matching ottoman, rocker recliner, glider and 4 pillows. The sectional and ottoman were delivered on July 22, 2008. I was unable to operated the recliner part of the sectional and all pieces had a horrible odor. The ottoman, when removing the top was the worst, certainly not able to store afghans, throws etc. in it. Upon contacting the company they sent two people to check it out. Upon lifting the lid of the ottoman and checking it out they stated "There is no place a rodent could haven gotten in. So we are not sure what the smell is, try putting dryer sheets and buy some Febreeze maybe that will help." They never offered to do anything to eliminate it. As to not being able to operate the recliners I was told you need to work them in. Six months later I am still trying to "work them in." This was certainly not as represented in the store where I was able to operate the reclining mechanism. They also sent a representative from the manufacturer and all he could say was smell is subjective. Now the representative from Kacey's is stating that none of the 3 people could smell anything., strange when the first two checked for a rodent and then told me to use the dryer sheets and buy Febreeze. The glider, rocker recliner and pillows were delivered on 8/05/08. The rocker recliner is exactly as represented, no complaints. I am not happy with the glider but did not address this with Kacey's. At this point didn't really feel it would do any good. I asked them to take the furniture back and refund my money, but was told because I had chosen the fabric it was a custom order and they would not do that. I was not complaining about the upholstery. I was complaining about the mechanism and odor. I have used dryer sheets, Febreeze, wadded up newspapers all to no avail, the interior still smells. I would never do business with this company again.

This has been a frustrating experience. The salesperson raved about the quality of this set and assured us it was an excellent buy. Within three weeks of delivery, the cushions lost their shape. Kacey's service person agreed this was a manufacturer's problem and had new cushions ordered. Before they arrived, a nail poked through the couch deck, so the couch had to be repaired. The new cushions had the same problem, and we were told that we would have to periodically steam the cushions for them to keep their shape. We asked if we could exchange this set for one that was better quality. That is against their policy. Our attempts to discuss our unhappiness with their customer service staff have been unsuccessful. Kacey said we might be able to continually replace the cushions for the life of the warranty. This is not acceptable. Kacey does not stand behind their products and does not care about customer satisfaction. This is the worst experience we've ever had with a furniture company.
Description of Work: We bought a sofa & loveseat from Kacey and had immediate problems with the quality of the cushions. After a visit from their service rep, we had them replaced once and were told we would have to steam the cushions to have them keep their shape. This was never explained when we purchased the sofa/loveseat. Within a week we had the same problems with the cushions and again contacted customer service. We asked if we could exchange the set for another sofa & loveseat and were told that Kacey doesn't accept returns of custom furniture. (Most of the sofas and loveseats from Kacey are custom which was a selling point by our salesman). Another suggestion was to try to continue replacing these defective cushions until the warranty on the cushions is up. This is unacceptable...we are replacing defective merchandise with defective merchandise. We want to have cushions that hold their shape for our couch and loveseat.
